Percy Lodge

East Sheen Lodge was an 18th-century house in East Sheen, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, on the west side of Sheen Lane, with grounds extending to Richmond Park. It was built around 1720. Its residents included Sir John Barber, Lord Mayor of London in 1732, and Rear Admiral William Fitzroy, whose large household is recorded in the 1851 census. James Stuart-Wortley bought the property in 1858, renamed it Wortley Lodge, and soon realised the potential of the land in East Sheen for development. Later residents included the 1st Duke of Fife and Princess Louise in 1889, and it was by a pond in the garden that her brother, the future George V, proposed to Queen Mary. It was also where the Duchess of Fife delivered her two daughters, Princesses Alexandra and Maud. In 1908 the property was up for sale, and described in an extensive brochure, and in 1912 Rear Admiral Horace Hood purchased the property, he died at the Battle of Jutland in 1916, and his wife continued to live in the Lodge until 1925. East Sheen Lodge was the last of the grand houses in East Sheen to be demolished. It survived until 1965, though it had been converted into apartments in 1925.

East Sheen Baptist Church is an evangelical church in East Sheen in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is affiliated to the London Baptist Association. The pastor is Rev Dr Louise Hearn. The church holds Sunday morning, and Sunday evening services. Mornings, 10:30am are family orientated with a kids club, Evenings, 6pm, are more reflective but still have a full sermon.).A mums and toddlers group is based in the church and hall and meets on Tuesday mornings during school term times. A youth club for 7 to 11 year-olds meets on Wednesday evenings. Tuesday pm Ladies Craft, Thursday morning Computer drop in and many more activities.

Christ Church, East Sheen, is an inclusive and welcoming Church of England church on Christ Church Road, East Sheen, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Part of the Diocese of Southwark the Parish of Mortlake with East Sheen is served by the Mortlake team ministry, with other churches being St Mary’s Mortlake and All Saints East Sheen. Christ Church is open daily. The church is a place of prayer, music and peace offering a welcome to worship to all. There is an active music life at the church with a new choral scholarship and choristership programme launched in January 2023, and a concert series An early work of the architect Arthur Blomfield, the church building, which is in stone, was erected between 1862 and 1864 and extended in 1887. It was built on farmland at the entrance of East Sheen Common. It was originally planned to be opened in April 1863; however, the tower collapsed shortly before completion and had to be rebuilt. The church was finally completed and consecrated nine months later, on 13 January 1864. The building is Grade II listed, as are the wrought iron railings around the building to the south and west. Mortlake Quiet Gardens are based around the landscaped churchyard and are affiliated to The Quiet Garden Trust.

Mortlake and East Sheen War Memorial is a war memorial in East Sheen commemorating the local residents who died fighting in the First and Second World Wars. The memorial stands on The Triangle a traffic island on the junction between the Upper Richmond Road and Sheen. It acts as the site of Remembrance Day services for East Sheen. The memorial was designated as Grade II listed in 2017 both for its design and historical significance and sits next to a Portland stone milestone from 1751 which is also listed. The memorial was unveiled in 1925, during a period of unprecedented monument building following the First World War which coincided with the ongoing development and urbanisation of East Sheen and Mortlake.

East Sheen, also known as Sheen, is a suburb in south-west London in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Its long high street has shops, offices, restaurants, cafés, pubs and suburban supermarkets and is also the economic hub for Mortlake of which East Sheen was once a manor. This commercial thoroughfare, well served by public transport, is the Upper Richmond Road West which connects Richmond to Putney. Central to this street is The Triangle, a traffic island with a war memorial and an old milestone dating from 1751, marking the 10 miles (16 km) distance to Cornhill in the City of London.The main railway station serving the area, Mortlake, is centred 300 metres (980 ft) north of this. Sheen has a mixture of low-rise and mid-rise buildings and it has parks and open spaces including its share of Richmond Park, accessed via Sheen Gate; Palewell Common, which has a playground, playing fields, tennis courts and a pitch and putt course; and East Sheen Common which is owned by the National Trust and leads into Bog Gate, another gate of Richmond Park.

St Leonard's Court is a four-storey block of flats on Palmers Road, off St Leonard's Road in East Sheen, London SW14 in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, 0.2 miles from Mortlake railway station. It was constructed between 1934 and 1938 and is remarkable for its surviving underground air raid shelter, built in anticipation of the Second World War and now Grade II listed.

The Hare and Hounds is a Young's public house at Upper Richmond Road, East Sheen, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is Grade II listed. A former coaching inn, it was built by an unknown architect in the early 19th century. It has a 1930s interior and an extensive garden.

East Sheen Common, also known as Sheen Common, is an area of public open space in East Sheen in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is adjacent to Richmond Park and separated from it by a brick wall which forms the park's boundary. A gate, Bog Gate, provides pedestrian access between the park and the common. East Sheen Common is owned by The National Trust. It is currently leased to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council. East Sheen Common covers 18.60 hectares (45.96 acres), consisting of woodland, a cricket field, tennis courts and a bowling green, and is a surviving, small, part of the local common land that pre-existed the creation of Richmond Park.Sheen Park Cricket Club play matches on East Sheen Common's cricket field, which is also a venue for Ibstock Place School cricket matches.A new woodland play area and nature trail opened at East Sheen Common in 2021. Equipment installed in the play area includes a rope tunnel, trapeze rings, an accessible wide slide, a hammock, a large raised play deck, and swings.

East Sheen Filling Station is a petrol service station at 567 Upper Richmond Road, East Sheen, London SW14 in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It dates from about 1926. In 2012 Historic England designated it as a Grade II listed building, citing it as "one of the earliest surviving examples of a purpose-built filling station" and "a pioneering UK instance of an 'American-style' filling station, with canopy and office under a single roof".

Mortlake is a suburban district of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on the south bank of the River Thames between Kew and Barnes. Historically it was part of Surrey and until 1965 was in the Municipal Borough of Barnes. For many centuries it had village status and extended far to the south, to include East Sheen and part of what is now Richmond Park. Its Stuart and Georgian history was economically one of malting, brewing, farming, watermen and the Mortlake Tapestry Works (1617–1704), Britain's most important producer. A London landmark, the former Mortlake Brewery or Stag Brewery, is on the edge of Mortlake. The Waterloo to Reading railway line runs through Mortlake, which has a pedestrianised riverside, two riverside pubs and a village green. The Boat Race finishes at Mortlake every March/April.

Mortlake railway station is in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, in south London, and is in Travelcard Zone 3. It is 8 miles 21 chains (13.3 km) down the line from London Waterloo. The station and all trains serving it are operated by South Western Railway. Postal district and boundary changes over many years mean that Mortlake now serves the area known as East Sheen as well as the area of Mortlake, both of which share the SW14 postcode. Mortlake is the closest station to the finish of the Oxford-Cambridge University Boat Race.
