Braehead Shopping Centre

Braehead (Scots: Braeheid, Gaelic: Ceann a' Bhruthaich) is a commercial development located at the former site of Braehead Power Station in Renfrew on the south bank of the River Clyde in Renfrew, Renfrewshire. It is particularly notable for its large shopping centre, arena and leisure facilities. The area is known for its shopping centre of the same name, which was rebranded as Intu Braehead in 2013 and carried that name until 2020. The rebranding was done as part of a corporate rebranding exercise by Capital Shopping Centres plc, which itself was renamed as Intu Properties PLC.

The Braehead Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Renfrewshire, Scotland. The arena was built in 1999, and is located within the Braehead Complex. The arena was formerly the home of the Scottish Eagles ice hockey club and is now the home to the expansion Glasgow Clan ice hockey team of the Elite Ice Hockey League. From 2002 to 2008, Braehead Arena was home to Scotland's only professional basketball team, the Scottish Rocks.

Deanside railway station was a short-lived railway station that served the suburb of Hillington, Glasgow, Scotland from 1903 to 1905 on the Glasgow and Renfrew District Railway.

Garscadden (Gaelic: Gart Sgadan) is a district in the Scottish city of Glasgow. It is situated north of the River Clyde. It lies between Yoker to the west, Scotstoun to the east and Knightswood to the north. It has a train station close to Knightswood shopping centre and Yoker Railway Depot. Garscadden railway station is on the Argyle Line.

Scotstounhill is a small area situated in western Glasgow, between south Knightswood and Scotstoun. Housing is mainly in a terraced or villa style, although several high rise flats (also known as tower blocks) can be found in the area (originally six at Kingsway Court, two since demolished in the 2010s and the others renovated). These were built near to the site of the Scotstoun House mansion.Scotstounhill contains a noted bowling club, and is served by Scotstounhill railway station which has frequent services to and from the city centre. It also contains Knightswood Shopping Centre in the area with several large shops such as Tesco.

Glasgow distillery is a Scotch whisky, gin and rum distillery in Glasgow, Scotland. In 2020, the distillery was named distillery of the year at the Scottish Whisky Awards. Glasgow distillery was the first active distillery in greater Glasgow since 1902 (note that Clydeside distillery later began production in the city centre in 2017).

Scotstoun (Scottish Gaelic: Baile an Sgotaich) is an area of Glasgow, Scotland, west of Glasgow City Centre. It is bounded by Garscadden and Yoker to the west, Victoria Park, Jordanhill and Whiteinch to the east, Jordanhill to the north and the River Clyde (and Braehead beyond) to the south. At the heart of Scotstoun lies Scotstounhill, an enclave of late Victorian and post-war housing centred on Scotstounhill railway station. Scotstoun (along with the Govan shipyard) is home to BAE Systems Surface Ships (formerly Yarrow Shipbuilders), and to the Glasgow Warriors rugby team.

King George V Dock is a dock for ocean-going vessels operated by the Clyde Port Authority in the Shieldhall (Govan) area of Glasgow in the west central Lowlands of Scotland. It is located near Braehead in Renfrewshire and lies on the boundary between the council areas of Renfrewshire and the City of Glasgow. A large single basin with unrestricted entry, it opened in 1931 to accommodate the larger vessels then beginning to service the Clyde and was named after George V, the reigning monarch. It is the largest dock on the Upper Clyde, as well as the only operational one within Glasgow's city boundary. The dock currently deals with dry bulk cargoes, including animal feeds, grains, chemicals and industrial equipment, and offers easy transfer of goods to the M8 motorway and the national rail network via the remaining stub of the Glasgow and Renfrew District Railway and the Inverclyde Line.

Scotstounhill railway station serves Scotstounhill in Glasgow, Scotland. The station lies on the Argyle and North Clyde lines, serving the districts of Scotstoun and Knightswood, with trains to and from Glasgow Central or Queen Street stations and on into the east end.

Yoker (Scottish Gaelic: An Eochair) is an area of Glasgow, Scotland, on the northern bank of the Clyde east of Clydebank, 5 miles (8 kilometres) west of the city centre. From the fourteenth century, the Renfrew Ferry has linked Yoker with Renfrew on the south bank. Although shipbuilding has declined, the nearby Yarrows shipyard, now owned by BAE Systems, is still in operation. The name is an Anglicisation of the Scottish Gaelic Eochair meaning a river bank.Motor vehicles and tramcars were also manufactured in Yoker, which is now an operations centre for the North Clyde Line, part of Glasgow's suburban rail network. Yoker railway station has services on the Argyle and North Clyde lines. The comedy series Limmy's Show featured a sketch in which perpetually-stoned Dee Dee Durie travelled to Yoker on a whim, finding the experience an exciting and terrifying adventure rather than a mundane bus journey.

Scotstoun Parish Church is an early-20th-century parish church of the Church of Scotland located in the Scotstoun area of Glasgow.
