Wat Thong Nopphakhun

Lhong 1919 (Thai: ล้ง 1919; Chinese: 廊 1919) is a tourist attraction on the west bank of Chao Phraya River on Bangkok's Thonburi side. Its concept is similar to that of the Asiatique The Riverfront on the Phra Nakhon side. It is at the bottom of Chiang Mai Road, Khlong San Sub-District, Khlong San District, Bangkok, Thailand. Lhong was a historic port and warehouse in siheyuan-style (Chinese courtyard architecture). It was built in 1850 as a port for overseas shipping from British Malaya, mainland China, and British Hong Kong by Phraya Pisansuphaphol (Chuen), a wealthy Thai Chinese. He was an ancestor of the Pisolyabutra family, whose descendants include Luang Sathonrachayut or Yom Pisolyabutra, who was the founder of Khlong Sathon and Sathon Road. The port's name is derived from the word Huang Chung Lhong (火船廊; lit: 'steamer port'), an old name. In 1919, the Wanglee family acquired Lhong. In October 2016, the family started renovated Lhong as a tourist attraction and a new landmark of Khlong San and Tha Din Daeng areas. It was officially opened on 2 November 2017 with Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul Tourism and Sports Minister presiding with many celebrities—Sirikitiya Jensen, Nualphan Lamsam, Chadathip Jutrakul, Piyapas Bhirombhakdi—in attendance. Lhong 1919's amenities include cafés, art and craft shops, co-working space, and a Thai-Chinese history centre. The focal point of Lhong is the shrine to Mazu, goddess of the sea and maritime according to ancient Chinese beliefs. The area adjacent to the Chao Phraya River was converted in 2018 into an outdoor stage for theatrical performances.

Khlong San station (Thai: สถานีคลองสาน, RTGS: Sathani Khlong San, pronounced [sā.tʰǎː.nīː kʰlɔ̄ːŋ sǎːn]) is a Gold Line station, located in Khlong San District, Bangkok, Thailand. It is located in front of Taksin Hospital. The station is on Somdet Chao Phraya Road and opened on 16 December 2020.

Taksin Hospital (Thai: โรงพยาบาลตากสิน) is a hospital in Thailand located in Khlong San District, Bangkok. Taksin Hospital is a public hospital operated by the Medical Service Department, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). It is an affiliated hospital of the Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital. It is an affiliated teaching hospital of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. It is served by Khlong San BTS station since 16 December 2020.

Khlong San (Thai: คลองสาน, pronounced [kʰlɔ̄ːŋ sǎːn]) is one of the 50 districts (khet) of Bangkok, Thailand. On the west bank of Chao Phraya River, its neighboring districts across the river are (from north clockwise) Phra Nakhon, Samphanthawong, Bang Rak, Sathon, and Bang Kho Laem. On the west side of the river, the only land neighbor is Thon Buri district.

Somdet Chaopraya Institute of Psychiatry (also known as Somdet Chao Phraya Hospital) is a psychiatric hospital in Khlong San District of Bangkok, Thailand. Established as a mental asylum, the original building was designed by a British architect and supervised by the British physician Dr. Morden Carthew. As the first psychiatric hospital and the second oldest hospital in Thailand, the hospital became well known for being the pioneer in the country for the humane treatment of mentally ill patients.

Wat Pathum Khongkha Ratchaworawihan, or simple known as Wat Pathum Khongkha (Thai: วัดปทุมคงคาราชวรวิหาร, วัดปทุมคงคา) is a second class royal temple in the Talat Noi area of Bangkok's Chinatown near Tri Mit Road, which leads to Odeon Circle, the beginning of Yaowarat Road. It is an ancient temple since Ayutthaya period. Until the early Rattanakosin period corresponding to the King Rama I's reign. The King's younger brother Prince Maha Sura Singhanat renovated the entire monastery as a merit making dedicated to his father Mr. Thongdee and renamed the temple to Wat Pathum Khongkha (temple of lotuses in water). Its formerly named as Wat Sampheng according to its location Sampheng, the Chinese and commercial quarters since those days.

The So Heng Tai Mansion (Thai: บ้านโซวเฮงไถ่, from Chinese: 蘇恒泰) is a nineteenth-century Chinese courtyard house in the historic neighbourhood of Talat Noi in Bangkok. It was built by Phra Aphaiwanit (Chat, of the So (蘇) clan, 1813–1849), a Hokkien Chinese bird's nest tax farmer with ancestry from Fujian who eventually joined the nobility under King Rama III. His descendants include many prominent Thai businessmen, celebrities and politicians including Korn Chatikavanij. The house has continuously been inhabited by his descendants, including one branch who now form the Poshyachinda family. It is one of the last remaining traditional Chinese houses in Bangkok and claims to be the oldest private residence in the city. A Thai Chinese tycoon reportedly offered to buy the residence for 2 billion baht, an offer turned down by the family. Today, it also operates as a diving school, a pool having been built in the courtyard in 2004. The house has at times been opened to the public, especially since 2014 when the Talat Noi area was promoted as a cultural tourism destination. Multiple organizations have offered assistance in its restoration, though lack of government support has largely left maintenance of the house to the family's own expense.

Sieng Kong or sometimes spell Xiang Gong and Siang Kong (Thai: เซียงกง, pronounced [sīa̯ŋ kōŋ]; Chinese: 仙公; pinyin: Xiān gōng) is a neighbourhood in the area of Bangkok's Chinatown, Talat Noi sub-district, Samphanthawong district. It is well known to most Thais as the car part and secondhand engine machine center. It covers the area from Talat Noi, Song Wat to parts of Khao Lam, Tri Mit and Charoen Krung roads. Its name "Sieng Gong" came from a small joss house called Sieng Gong, which settle on Song Wat close to Charoen Krung roads and today's Odeon Circle. The old joss house was established in 1854 (corresponding to the 4th year of Xianfeng Emperor's reign of Qing dynasty) by a group of Hoklo which settle down around there. The current location, in the past it was an area adjacent to a canal before. So, people often call this place as ‘Sieng Kong’. Indeed in Chinese term (Teochew dialect), ‘Sieng’ (仙) means "god" or "xian" and ‘Gong’ (公) means "grandpa". The meaning have nothing to do with the auto part business anyway. However, Sieng Gong is the name of place which origin the quality secondhand auto-part and make other places use this name such as Sieng Kong Bang Na, Sieng Kong Chiang Mai, Sieng Kong Rangsit, Sieng Kong Nakhon Pathom etc. The history of this place began during the Second World War period. Chinese settlers gathered here to trade engine spare parts. After that, this business has continued to grow to this day. Now, its official name Soi Wanit 2 (ซอยวานิช 2) in pair with Soi Wanit 1 or popularly known as Sampheng, a bustling shopping district nearby. It was promoted as part of Chinatown's walking street.

The Talat Noi Branch is Siam Commercial Bank's first permanent office, and the oldest operating bank branch in Thailand. It is located in Talat Noi Subdistrict of Bangkok's Samphanthawong District, at the periphery of Bangkok's Chinatown. The building, designed by Italian architect Annibale Rigotti in the Beaux-Arts style, was built in 1908 or 1910. It sits on the bank of the Chao Phraya River, almost next to the Holy Rosary Church, and is listed by the Fine Arts Department as an unregistered ancient monument. The building received the ASA Architectural Conservation Award in 1982, and underwent renovations in 1995.

Yaowarat Chinatown Heritage Center (Thai: ศูนย์ประวัติศาสตร์เยาวราช) or Wat Traimit Museum (พิพิธภัณฑ์วัดไตรมิตร) is a museum in Talat Noi Subdistrict, Samphanthawong District, Bangkok, Thailand. The museum focuses on the history of early Chinese immigrants in Siam (Thailand in present), especially in the area of Sampheng or popularly known as Yaowarat (Chinatown). The museum is open daily except Mondays from 09.00 am to 05.00 pm, admission fee is 40 baht each, free for Thais.
