It dates from the 16th century but has a 19th-century facade of red brick, mainly in English bond, with a grey brick diaper pattern. The house and its 40-acre estate was purchased in April 2018 by Rosemary Vincent, wife of Henry Vincent, a convicted fraudster, from Dudley Wright for £325,000 compared with a market value estimated by The Times to be £1.7 million.

Maidstone services are a motorway service station directly off Junction 8 of the M20 motorway near Maidstone, England, owned by Roadchef. They were the first set of services to open on the M20, opening in 1997. Until the 2007 opening of Stop 24 services at Junction 11, they were also the only set on the motorway. There are two entrances at each end of a walkway, one for people arriving by car and one for HGV drivers, with shops and restaurants at each end.

Leeds Castle is a castle in Kent, England, 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Maidstone. It is built on islands in a lake formed by the River Len to the east of the village of Leeds. It is a historic Grade I listed estate. A castle has existed on the site since 857. In the 13th century, it came into the hands of King Edward I, for whom it became a favourite residence; in the 16th century, Henry VIII used it as a dwelling for his first wife, Catherine of Aragon. The present castle dates mostly from the early 19th century. Its last private owner, Olive, Lady Baillie, left the castle in trust to open it to the public. It has been open since 1976.

Hollingbourne Downs is a 60.9-hectare (150-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Maidstone in Kent.This escarpment has unimproved chalk grassland and beech woodland. The dominant grasses are tor-grass, upright brome and sheep's fescue, and shrub species on woodland margins include the wayfaring-tree and traveller's-joy.The site is crossed by several public footpaths.

Broomfield is a village in the Maidstone District of Kent, England, and forms part of the civil parish of Broomfield and Kingswood. It lies 6 miles (10 km) to the east of Maidstone. The village is located just upstream of Leeds Castle on the River Len, one of the tributaries of the River Medway. The parish church is dedicated to Saint Margaret. In the 16th and 17th centuries Broomfield was home to the first two generations of the Hatch family of bellfounders, who lived in the farmhouse at Roses Farm. Their output included the bell known as "Bell Harry", after which the central tower of Canterbury Cathedral is known.There is also a Broomfield, in East Kent, in the parish of Herne and Broomfield, on the outskirts of Herne Bay.

Leeds Priory, also known as Leeds Abbey, was a priory in Leeds, Kent, England, that was founded in 1119 and dissolved in 1539. A mansion was later built on the site of the priory; it was demolished in the late 18th century. The site of the former priory is a scheduled monument.
