Hillrise is an Agoura Hills, California residential neighborhood of modern mid-century detached homes that was first developed in 1968 and into the 1970s. It is located immediately west and south of Downtown, cutting it off from the South End. The neighborhood's character has created a rather bohemian culture, and the area is considered one of the most eclectic neighborhoods in Agoura Hills. A river on the southern edge of the district separates the area from the downtown.

Agoura Hills and unincorporated Agoura sit next to Calabasas, Oak Park, and Westlake Village.

Indian Hills High School is an alternative/continuation education high school in Agoura Hills, California, United States, serving students in grades 10–12. It is in the Las Virgenes Unified School District. Originally the school was located in an old church building, in then Agoura, today Agoura Hills California. In 1978 the school was moved to a location in Calabasas, California. Calabasas. In 2008 Indian Hills relocated to the campus of Agoura High School in Agoura Hills to save money. The former campus was more recently used by New Village Leadership Academy, a private school.

This residential district is composed of relatively compact detached homes, some reminiscent of the French Provincial style of architecture, with the large Forest Cove Park as the community's center. On the southern edge of Forest Cove, in a subdistrict called Strawberry Hill, there are a number of medium density apartments with interesting architecture and Agoura Hills' fire station. For years, a large Hawaiian flag has flown over Strawberry Hill, leading some to christen the district "Little Hawai'i".

Agoura was the historical name of the area, before much of the area was developed and before the incorporation of the city of Agoura Hills. There are a few nearby pockets of unincorporated areas that contain a handful of houses. Much of the area is also often referred to as the neighborhood of Old Agoura. Paramount Ranch Racetrack (sometimes called Paramount Ranch Raceway) was a motorsports racetrack located at Paramount Ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains in Agoura Hills, California. A total of seven events were held at Paramount Ranch from 1956-1957. After a series of fatalities in short proximity to each other, the track gained a reputation for being a dangerous circuit. After two seasons, Paramount Ranch Racetrack was closed.

Timothy Verne Perryman (born December 5, 1950) is a missing person. He was last seen March 28, 2004 near his home in Agoura Hills, a Los Angeles, California suburb. Tim Perryman earned his BA from USC, and at the time of his disappearance had recently earned his MBA from California Lutheran University. He was a leader in a local Eagle scouts group, an avid hiker, and a car racing fan, who had once worked at the Ontario Motor Speedway.

Oak Park is an unincorporated community in southeastern Ventura County, California, United States. When developed in the Simi Hills in the late 1960s, a single road provided the only access to the community from Agoura Hills, California, in neighboring Los Angeles County. As of the 2010 census, Oak Park had a population of 14,266, down from 14,625 at the 2000 census. For statistical purposes, the United States Census Bureau has defined Oak Park as a census-designated place (CDP). The census definition of the area may not precisely correspond to local understanding of the area with the same name. Oak Park is the biggest unincorporated community in Ventura County. Residents of the community have through votes declined to set up an independent city, and also declined to be annexed into neighboring Thousand Oaks.

The Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing (sometimes Liberty Canyon Wildlife Crossing) is a vegetated overpass spanning the Ventura Freeway and Agoura Road under construction at Liberty Canyon in Agoura Hills, California. The bridge will be one of the largest urban wildlife crossings in the United States, connecting the Simi Hills and the Santa Monica Mountains over a busy freeway with ten traffic lanes, when including exit lanes.
