Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs, formerly known as Scioto Downs Racino, is a horse racing track and casino in Columbus, Ohio, owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. The venue opened in 1959, as the Scioto Downs track, and became Ohio's first racino with the addition of video lottery terminals (VLTs) on June 1, 2012. The track was annexed by Columbus from Hamilton Township in 2012. The casino is 117,000 square feet (10,900 m2), with over 2,200 VLTs.

The Samuel Landes House is a historic house in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The house was built c. 1848 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The house is significant as a vernacular farmhouse. It was built for Samuel Landes, a prominent farmer in the area, and remained in his family until 1875.

The Hartman Stock Farm Historic District was a historic district in Columbus, Ohio. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places from 1974 to 2022.The district is the site of Hartman Farm, a 5,000-acre farm founded by Samuel B. Hartman in 1903. Hartman was known for his Peruna manufacturing business in downtown Columbus, but later began to acquire land for the farm. The Hartman Farm began with 2,400 acres, though Hartman increased its size to spanning four miles down South High St., with frontage along the Scioto River. After the farm's demise, many of its buildings were demolished, and the farm was reduced to about 2,200 acres. Today, the only remaining buildings include the foreman's house, one of the dairy barns, a one-room schoolhouse, and another home.In 2021, Google proposed building a large data center on the site. Columbus City Council approved a zoning change and a $54 million tax abatement for the development, despite protests from local residents and the Columbus Landmarks Foundation. The site was removed from the National Register in 2022.

Lockbourne is a village in Franklin County and Pickaway County, Ohio, United States. The population was 236 at the 2020 census. Lockbourne is located near Rickenbacker International Airport, and had initially provided its original name of Lockbourne Air Force Base.

Scioto Grove Metro Park is a metropolitan park in Grove City, Ohio, owned and operated by Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks. Scioto Grove features eight trails and five backpacking campsites. It has picnic shelters, an event space, traditional and 3-D archery ranges, and a disc golf course. The park opened to the public on May 6, 2016.In 2022, Metro Parks began the process of relocating the 90- to 100-foot Keystone Fire Lookout Tower in Jackson County, Ohio to Scioto Grove.

Picway Power Plant was a 220 megawatt (MW) coal power plant located west of Lockbourne in Pickaway County, Ohio. The plant generated electricity from 1926 until its closure in 2015. It was operated by American Electric Power (AEP).

Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base is an Ohio Air National Guard installation at Rickenbacker International Airport near Lockbourne in southern Franklin County. The base was named for the famous early aviator and Columbus native Eddie Rickenbacker. It is the home of the 121st Air Refueling Wing (121 ARW), an Air National Guard (ANG) unit that serves as the host wing and operates in federal service under the United States Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC). Rickenbacker ANGB operates at the airport as a tenant of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, sharing the facility with commercial airlines and other civilian aircraft operators. The air base is a joint military facility whose own tenant activities include the Ohio Army National Guard's Army Aviation Support Facility #2, Navy Reserve and Marine Corps Reserve units, and associated facilities. During World War II, the installation was a U.S. Army Air Forces training base known as Lockbourne Army Airfield, becoming an Air Force base in 1948 a few months following the establishment of the United States Air Force as an independent branch of the U.S. armed forces. The base was named Lockbourne AFB from 1948 to 1974 and later Rickenbacker AFB from 1974 to 1980. The facility was transferred from Strategic Air Command and the active duty Air Force on 1 April 1980 and turned over to the Air National Guard.
