Lockbourne is a village in Franklin County and Pickaway County, Ohio, United States. The population was 236 at the 2020 census. Lockbourne is located near Rickenbacker International Airport, and had initially provided its original name of Lockbourne Air Force Base.

The venue opened in 1959, as the Scioto Downs track, and became Ohio's first racino with the addition of video lottery terminals (VLTs) on June 1, 2012. The track was annexed by Columbus from Hamilton Township in 2012. The casino is 117,000 square feet (10,900 m2), with over 2,200 VLTs.

Picway Power Plant was a 220 megawatt (MW) coal power plant located west of Lockbourne in Pickaway County, Ohio. The plant generated electricity from 1926 until its closure in 2015. It was operated by American Electric Power (AEP).

The Perrill–Goodman Farmhouse is a historic farmhouse in the central part of the U.S. state of Ohio. Located south of Groveport in Pickaway County, it has been named a historic site. The farmhouse was named for two of its prominent early residents, a Mr. Perrill and a Mr. Goodman. Both men held elective office in Pickaway County and served as community leaders in other responsibilities: Perrill was both a Madison Township Trustee and a justice of the peace, while Goodman was a Pickaway County Commissioner and treasurer of Madison Township, and in the early nineteenth century he was known countywide as one of the area's model farmers. Besides going by the names of these men, the property is also known as "Larue Farm."Built in 1857, the farmhouse is a two-and-a-half-story brick structure with brick foundation and elements of stone. It was built in a time of transition between major architectural styles: elements such as the transom and sidelights around the main entrance as well as the rectangular lintels are typical of the older Greek Revival style, while the cornice with pairs of brackets, the narrow front gable and steep gables of the roof, and the lancet windows combine to remind the viewer of the later Gothic Revival style.In 1985, the farmhouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, along with a single outbuilding; it was deemed qualified for historic designation because of its distinctive historic architecture.

The Hartman Stock Farm Historic District was a historic district in Columbus, Ohio. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places from 1974 to 2022.The district is the site of Hartman Farm, a 5,000-acre farm founded by Samuel B. Hartman in 1903. Hartman was known for his Peruna manufacturing business in downtown Columbus, but later began to acquire land for the farm. The Hartman Farm began with 2,400 acres, though Hartman increased its size to spanning four miles down South High St., with frontage along the Scioto River. After the farm's demise, many of its buildings were demolished, and the farm was reduced to about 2,200 acres. Today, the only remaining buildings include the foreman's house, one of the dairy barns, a one-room schoolhouse, and another home.In 2021, Google proposed building a large data center on the site. Columbus City Council approved a zoning change and a $54 million tax abatement for the development, despite protests from local residents and the Columbus Landmarks Foundation. The site was removed from the National Register in 2022.

Groveport is a city in Franklin County, Ohio, United States. It is a suburb of Columbus. The population was 6,009 at the 2020 census. Groveport was the hometown of John Solomon Rarey, a 19th-century horse whisperer, and developer of the Rarey technique for rehabilitating horses.
