Le Pavillon is a restaurant in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The restaurant is owned by the Dinex Group, a restaurant company led by chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud. Le Pavillon opened in May 2021 in One Vanderbilt, a skyscraper completed in 2020 in Midtown East.

One Vanderbilt is a 93-story supertall skyscraper at the corner of 42nd Street and Vanderbilt Avenue in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, the building was proposed by developer SL Green Realty as part of a planned Midtown East rezoning in the early 2010s. The skyscraper's roof is 1,301 feet (397 m) high and its spire is 1,401 feet (427 m) above ground, making it the city's fourth-tallest building after One World Trade Center, Central Park Tower, and 111 West 57th Street. One Vanderbilt's facade and design is intended to harmonize with Grand Central Terminal immediately to the east. The building's base contains a wedge-shaped void, and the tower tapers as it rises, with several "pavilions" and a pinnacle at the top. The facade is made mostly of glass panels, while the spandrels between stories are made of terracotta. The superstructure is made of steel and concrete, and the interior spaces are designed to be as high as 105 feet (32 m). The lobby has a bank branch and an entrance to the nearby railroad terminal and the associated subway station, while the second floor contains the Le Pavillon restaurant. Most of the building is devoted to office space, and the top stories contain an observation deck, Summit. SL Green acquired the structures on the site between 2001 and 2011, announcing plans to construct a skyscraper there in 2012. After a planned zoning amendment for the neighborhood failed in 2013, One Vanderbilt was delayed for several months. TD Bank signed as the anchor tenant in May 2014 and after the skyscraper was approved one year later, the existing structures on the site were demolished. A groundbreaking ceremony for One Vanderbilt was held in October 2016, and the tower topped out on September 17, 2019, two months ahead of schedule. Despite delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the building opened in September 2020, and Summit opened in October 2021.

The Prudence Building, or Prudence Bonds Building, was a fourteen-story edifice at the southeast corner of Madison Avenue and 43rd Street, in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It was the headquarters of the Prudence Bonds Corporation, opening in October 1923. Stores on the street level were leased to affluent shops. The banking floor was a close likeness of the Bankers Trust Company building at the southeast corner of Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street. The Bank of Manhattan was accorded a 21-year lease and moved its headquarters from 40 Wall Street. The building was demolished in 2016 and the site is now the location of One Vanderbilt.

Grand Central Madison is a commuter rail terminal for the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) currently under construction in the Midtown East neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City, being built as part of the East Side Access project. The new terminal, sometimes referred to as the LIRR's East Side station, started construction in 2008 and is planned to open in December 2022. It is located beneath Grand Central Terminal, which serves the MTA's Metro-North Railroad.The Long Island Rail Road has terminated on the west side of Manhattan, at Penn Station and its predecessor, since 1910. The new terminal aims to ease congestion at Penn Station and decrease travel times for passengers going to and from the east side of Manhattan. The new terminal will provide transfers to the Metro-North Railroad's Harlem, Hudson, and New Haven Lines, as well as the New York City Subway at Grand Central–42nd Street station.

The New York Biltmore Hotel was a luxury hotel in New York City that opened in 1913. It was one a series of palatial hotels built as part of the Terminal City development around Grand Central Terminal in Midtown Manhattan. The others included The Commodore, The Roosevelt and The Barclay. The building was gutted by developers in 1981, stripped down to its steel frame and converted to an office building known first as Bank of America Plaza and more recently as 335 Madison.

One Grand Central Place, originally the Lincoln Building, is a 53-story, 673 feet (205 m) tall neo-Gothic office building at 60 East 42nd Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It is bounded by Madison Avenue to the west, East 41st Street to the south, and Park Avenue to the east. One Grand Central Place is near other skyscrapers such as the Chrysler Building, MetLife Building, and One Vanderbilt. It has direct in-building access to Grand Central Terminal to the north. As of 2021, it is the 91st-tallest building in the city, tied with the 277 Fifth Avenue, Barclay Tower, and One Court Square. The building is assigned its own ZIP Code, 10165; it was one of 41 buildings in Manhattan that had their own ZIP Codes as of 2019.

The Campbell is a bar and cocktail lounge in Grand Central Terminal in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The space, long known as the Campbell Apartment, was once the office of American financier John W. Campbell, a member of the New York Central Railroad's board of directors. It was later used as office space, as a studio by CBS and as a jail by Metro-North Railroad. Renovations in 1999 and 2007 restored the space to its original opulence at a total cost of nearly $2 million. Temporarily closed in 2016, the bar was reopened the following year under new management.Located in the southwestern corner of the Grand Central Terminal building—above the northeastern corner of 42nd Street and Vanderbilt Avenue—the space is reached by a staircase from the terminal's balcony level.

Agern was a Scandinavian restaurant in New York City. The restaurant opened in 2016 in the former men's smoking lounge of Grand Central Terminal. After Agern closed, the restaurant Cornelius began operating in the space.

The Belmont Hotel was an early 20th-century skyscraper-like hotel at Park Avenue and 42nd Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The Belmont Hotel was built between 1904 and 1908. At 308 feet (94 m), it was the tallest hotel in the world when built and was demolished in 1939. The 42nd Street Airlines Terminal was built in its place.
