Royal India is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was established in 1990 off Capital Boulevard, which is a section of U.S. Route 1 in North Carolina. Pine Hall, also known as the Jeremiah Dunn House and Julian Gregory House, is a historic home located at Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It was built about 1841, and enlarged and remodeled in 1940–1941 in the Colonial Revival style. The original core is a two-story, frame I-house with a hipped roof over a raised basement. It features a two-story pedimented portico with massive Doric order columns. Identical side-gable, single-pile, one-story wings were added with the 1940-1941 renovation. Also on the property is a contributing garage (c. 1940–1941).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

St. Matthews School, also known as St. Matthew School, is a historic Rosenwald School building located near Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It was built in 1922, and is a one-story, frame building with a hipped roof and sheathed in weatherboard. It sits on a concrete block foundation. The school closed in 1949. St. Matthews Baptist Church owns the school and uses the building as a meeting hall.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Rufus J. Ivey House is a historic home located near Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It was built about 1872, and is a two-story, L-shaped, Italianate-style brick dwelling with a steeply pitched cross-gable roof. It features a one-story porch with a low hipped roof.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Triangle Town Center is a shopping mall in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is located in North Raleigh off U.S. Highway 1 (Capital Boulevard) and Interstate 540. The mall features the traditional retailers Belk, Dillard's, Macy's, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Raleigh Speedway (officially Southland Speedway nicknamed Dixie Speedway by fans) was a one-mile (1.6 km) oval race track which opened in 1952 one mile (1.6 km) north of Raleigh, North Carolina in Wake County. It was the second superspeedway (according to the definition of the time) ever built (the first being the 1.366-mile (2.198 km) Darlington Raceway at Darlington, South Carolina). It was also the first lighted superspeedway and the first track on which NASCAR sanctioned night-time races. The track had a long and narrow shape, like a paper clip, with the front and back straights about 500 feet (150 m) apart and the straightaways about 1,850 feet (560 m) long. The turns were banked at 16° and the straightaways were flat.

Millbrook, North Carolina, United States, was a village in Wake County at that time in the intersection of then Wake Forest Road and then Main Street, which is now part of East Millbrook Road. However, the growth of Raleigh since the 1970s has swallowed up the village. Milbrook High School in Raleigh is named after the village and is located in what used to be Millbrook.

Alpheus Jones House, also known as Seth Jones 1847 Restaurant, is a historic home located near Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It was built in 1847, and is a two-story, rectangular, vernacular Greek Revival-style frame dwelling with a hipped roof. It is sheathed in weatherboard, sits on an ashlar foundation, and has a rear extension and kitchen wing. The front facade features a reconstructed two-story double Doric order portico. The house was restored in 1968, and renovated to house a restaurant.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
