The George E. Birge House is a historical residence located in the Edison District of Centralia, Washington and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1986. The Queen Anne-style home was built by George Birge in the mid-1890s. Birge was a noted Lewis County, Washington businessman, particularly in timber. The historic, asymmetrical house, known for its turret and exterior color scheme, has remained a private residence during its lifetime.

The Olympic Club, also known as the Olympic Club Saloon and in the 21st century as McMenamins Olympic Club, is a historic bar and restaurant owned by McMenamins Pubs & Breweries in Centralia, Washington, United States. The club was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1980 and is situated in the Centralia Downtown Historic District, also listed on the NRHP. The Olympic Club was constructed and opened in 1908. The club was rebuilt in 1913 after a fire and was remodeled with features that remain in the present-day. The Art Nouveau-style interior contains a billiard room and areas for a bar and restaurant. Original features, such as artwork and Tiffany glass light fixtures, decorate the space. The club was a local gathering spot, especially for miners and loggers, since its opening and was known for illicit activities, including gambling and potentially prostitution from the adjacent Oxford Hotel. During Prohibition, the club continued to sell alcohol. Despite some raids and brawls, the men only saloon was considered a gentlemen's club and had a good relationship with the Centralia police department. In 1996, the club and Oxford Hotel were purchased by the McMenamins brothers. The club was restored and reopened in January 1997. The connected venues were combined to form McMenamins Olympic Club and McMenamins Olympic Club Hotel and Theater.

The Olympic Club Hotel is a historic hotel owned by McMenamins Pubs & Breweries in Centralia, Washington, United States. Built in 1908, it was originally known as the Oxford Hotel. After acquiring the property in 1997, McMenamins changed the name to reflect the new ownership. The hotel features 27 European-style guest rooms and a brewpub movie theater. Notorious train robber Roy Gardner was re-captured at the then-Oxford Hotel after escaping federal custody in 1921.The Olympic Club also hosts musical acts as part of the McMenamin chain's "Great Northwest Music Tour," mostly consisting of bands from the Portland, Oregon area.

The Hubbard Bungalow is a private, historic residence in Centralia, Washington that has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2005. The home is located in the city's historic Edison District. Completed in 1908, the 4,000 foot (1,200 metres) bungalow was home to Francis Hubbard, a prominent Centralia businessman in the region's lumber and railroad industries. Hubbard was also known for his role that led to the Centralia Tragedy and the home is subsequently recognized by the National Register of Historic Places for the connection. The bungalow is mostly under the style of the Arts and Crafts movement, including built-ins, lead glass windows, and extensive woodwork. Several features stemming from the Victorian architectural era are present in the home, such as an octagonal turret and interior murals and stencils. Hubbard had the home built strictly using local materials, including special lumber stock from his mills, so the residence could boast that it was made entirely in Washington state.

The Sentinel is a bronze sculpture of an American soldier and is centrally located in George Washington Park in Centralia, Washington. The statue was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. The artwork is a memorial to the four members of the American Legion who lost their lives during the November 11, 1919 Armistice Day Riot, also known as the Centralia Massacre and the Centralia Tragedy. Created by Seattle-based artist Alonzo Victor Lewis on behest of the local Centralia citizens and the American Legion, the bronze sculpture was completed and dedicated in 1924. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries and a crowd was estimated as approximately 10,000 people; prominent national and international figures sent messages of appreciation. Though the artwork is both a sense of pride and divisiveness due to the nature of the violence and differing historical accounts of the Centralia Tragedy, the Sentinel is considered to be in good condition, requiring only one notable restoration effort in 2023. The piece is often graffitied, requiring occasional cleaning to remove the vandalization. The Sentinel shares space with several other memorials in George Washington Park, including the Freedom Walk War Memorial, honoring Lewis County veterans who were killed in wars and military engagements since World War I. Another monument includes the historical perspective of the Industrial Workers of the World in the tragedy. Additionally, a variety of works noting various historical events or notable people surround the statue, such as plaques for the city's founder, George Washington, a Bill Clinton 1996 presidential campaign stop in the city, and a September 11, 2001 memorial.

Seminary Hill Natural Area is a 71.0-acre (28.7 ha) nature preserve and park in Centralia, Washington. The site is situated on Seminary Hill, a more than 500 foot (150 m)-tall landform that is also the name of a neighborhood located upon the terrain. The area was logged during the 19th century and became home to a divinity school known as Grace Seminary. The school was constructed during the late 1880s and opened in 1890. The seminary struggled financially and closed multiple times; by 1905 the building was converted into a hospital, serving as such until approximately 1920. The structure was mostly abandoned, and due to neglect, was required to be razed in the 1930s. Afterwards, the grounds became the location of a National Guard Armory; a golf course was constructed on the surrounding land. The hill has been home to the city's reservoir system since the early 20th century. Members of the International Workers of the World (IWW) used Seminary Hill as an entrenched position during the Centralia Tragedy in 1919. The area became a city park known as Seminary Hill Park, or Dry Park, in the 1930s after the Works Progress Administration began constructing a trail system throughout the forested site. By the late 1970s as the city failed to patrol the site, the park had fallen into disrepair, often used as a garage dumping ground. By 1980, local residents formed a non-profit group known as the Friends of Seminary Hill Natural Area (FSHNA) with the intent to preserve the hill and its forest and park setting. The efforts led to the official declaration by the city to list the site as Seminary Hill Natural Area in 1981. In 1991, the two reservoirs located in the natural area collapsed due to erosion. No injuries or deaths were reported; damages were limited despite the flood and mudslide. The reservoir was rebuilt and became operational in 1994. The FSHNA manages and maintains the park, which was expanded to its present-day size in 2000. The volunteer organization holds various trail walks for educational purposes. The preserve features over 2 miles (3.2 km) of hiking paths through a second growth forest which contains approximately 400 species of flora.

The Centralia Post Office is a federal post office in Centralia, Washington. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1991. Centralia's post office history began with delivered mail possibly as early as 1851, with an official post office created in 1857 that was located at Fords Prairie under the name, Skookumchuck. Before the federal post office was constructed, the mail center shifted locations more than a dozen times and often in just a year's time. As the city of Centralia was formed, post office locations became more stable but continued to relocate. With exception of a brief closure between 1865 and 1866, the Centralia post office system has operated continuously since October 1854. The Centralia MPO, as it is listed in the NRHP form, was completed in 1937 after several attempts to provide a permanent post office building to the city. Featuring Tenino sandstone details, the $76,000 red brick structure's architecture is considered Moderne and Starved classical. The one-story building is noted for its sandstone relief panels featuring important modes of transportation of the time and a large granite stairway. The interior features a large mural, Industries of Lewis County, created by Kenneth Callahan. Outside of necessary upgrades and renovations for issues relating to age or lack of space, the post office is considered to be in a mostly unaltered state. The federal building is located near two NRHP-listed sites, the Centralia Downtown Historic District and the sculpture, The Sentinel, located across from the post office in George Washington Park.

The Centralia Tragedy, also known as the Centralia Conspiracy and the Armistice Day Riot, was a violent and bloody incident that occurred in Centralia, Washington, on November 11, 1919, during a parade celebrating the first anniversary of Armistice Day. The conflict between the American Legion and Industrial Workers of the World (IWW or "Wobblies") members resulted in six deaths, others being wounded, multiple prison terms, and an ongoing and especially bitter dispute over the motivations and events that precipitated the event. Both Centralia and the neighboring town of Chehalis had a large number of World War I veterans, with robust chapters of the Legion and many IWW members, some of whom were also war veterans. The ramifications of the event included a trial that attracted national media attention, notoriety that contributed to the First Red Scare in 1919 to 1920, the creation of a powerful martyr for the IWW, a monument to one side of the battle, a mural for the other side, and a formal tribute to the fallen Legionnaires by US President Warren G. Harding.

Centralia () is a city in Lewis County, Washington, United States. It is located along Interstate 5 near the midpoint between Seattle and Portland, Oregon. The city had a population of 18,183 at the 2020 census. Centralia is twinned with Chehalis, located to the south near the confluence of the Chehalis and Newaukum rivers.
