Scarborough Londesborough Road railway station

Gallows Close goods yard was a freight transfer yard on the Scarborough and Whitby Railway in the town of Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. The yard was opened in 1899 to relieve pressure on the main station in Scarborough and to release space for passenger use. After the Scarborough and Whitby Railway closed down, Gallows Close remained in use as a goods yard until final closure came in 1985.

Falsgrave is a suburb of Scarborough in North Yorkshire, England. Historically, the settlement of Falsgrave pre-dated the Domesday Book survey and was also the manor in the area, existing as the main administrative seat in the region long before the town of Scarborough developed. Gradually the settlement of Falsgrave became a suburb of Scarborough, and lies a little to the west of the town centre at the junction of the A64, A170 and A171 roads. Parts of the suburb were designated as a conservation area in 1985.

Scarborough University Technical College is a mixed University Technical College located in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. It opened in 2016 and caters for students aged 14–18 years. It is located on Weaponness Coach Park, in a purpose-built building.The lead education partner for the UTC is the University of Hull, and it is also supported by businesses such as McCain, Unison Ltd, Alpamare, Castle, Deep Sea Electronics, Firmac, Flamingo Land, GCHQ, Plaxton (ADL), Schneider Electric Ltd, Severfield, SWC Trade Frames and Sirius Minerals, as well as Scarborough Borough Council.

St James with Holy Trinity Church is in Seamer Road, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Scarborough, the archdeaconry of East Riding, and the diocese of York. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Scarborough Sports Village (Known for sponsorship reasons as Flamingo Land Stadium) is a sports complex with a football stadium in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England, it is the home ground of Scarborough Athletic F.C.Construction of the stadium started in 2016 with the final opening coming in 2017. The main sponsor of the site, Flamingo Land, is off the A169 road between Malton and Pickering.The first match to be played at the stadium was a friendly on 15 July 2017 versus a Sheffield United XI.The stadium originally had a capacity 2,070 people, with 250 seats, but since the building of a new stand in summer 2019, the capacity had increased to 2,833 with 586 seats. After revaluation during the pre season of 2022-23 the ground capacity was further increased to 3252, enough to satisfy National North stadium regulations. Further stadium developments are planned for the summer of 2023, including a covered stand, improved welfare facilities and seating in the away supporters, "swimming pool end". Also planned is a part fan funded Fanzone around the back of the Shed End stand. This will include the Victory Bar, office space and club shop.

Scarborough Athletic Football Club is an association football club based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. The club currently play in the National League North, the sixth level of the English football league system. The club was formed on 25 June 2007 as a phoenix club following the winding up of Scarborough Football Club. After spending their first ten seasons groundsharing at Bridlington Town, the club moved into a new stadium, Flamingo Land Stadium in Scarborough in July 2017.

Scarborough, formerly Scarborough Central, is a Grade II listed railway station serving the seaside town of Scarborough, North Yorkshire. It lies 42 miles (68 km) east of York and is one of the eastern termini on the North TransPennine route; it is managed by TransPennine Express. The station is also at the northern end of the Yorkshire Coast line and is reputed to have the longest station seat in the world at 456-foot (139 m).From 1907 until 2010, the station approaches were controlled from a 120-lever signal box named Falsgrave; this is sited at the outer end of platform 1 and close to the former excursion station at Scarborough Londesborough Road. In its final years, Falsgrave box controlled a mixture of colour-light and semaphore signals, including a gantry carrying 11 semaphores. The signal box was decommissioned in September 2010 and the gantry was dismantled and removed in October 2010. Its new home is at Grosmont railway station, on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The new signalling is a relay-based interlocking with two- and three-aspect LED signals controlled from an extension to the existing panel at nearby Seamer. Simplification of the track layout and major renewals took place at the same time.

The Stephen Joseph Theatre is a theatre in the round in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England that was founded by Stephen Joseph and was the first theatre in the round in Britain. In 1955, Joseph established a tiny theatre in the round on the first floor of the Public Library.The theatre flourished and in 1976 moved to a supposedly temporary home on the ground floor of the former Scarborough Boys' High School. However, a permanent home proved difficult to find and it was not until late 1988 and the closure of the local Odeon cinema by Rank Leisure that the theatre's long-standing Artistic Director, Alan Ayckbourn, found a suitable venue. Ayckbourn launched a £4 million appeal to transform the old cinema with a view to opening it up in 1995.The new theatre, known simply as the Stephen Joseph Theatre, opened in 1996 and comprises two auditoria: The Round, a 404-seat theatre in the round, and The McCarthy, a 165-seat end-on stage/cinema. The building also contains a restaurant, shop, and full front-of-house and backstage facilities. The Round boasts two important technical innovations: the stage lift, facilitating speedy set changes, and the trampoline, a Canadian invention which allows technicians particularly easy access to the lighting grid. It is also the place where the image used for the cover of Richard Hawley's album Coles Corner was taken.

Scarborough power station supplied electricity to the town of Scarborough and the surrounding area from 1893 to 1958. It was owned and operated by the Scarborough Electric Supply Company Limited from 1893 to 1925, then by Scarborough Corporation until the nationalisation of the British electricity supply industry in 1948. The coal-fired power station had an ultimate electricity generating capacity of 7 MW prior to its closure in October 1958.

Coast & County Radio (also referred to as Coast and County Radio) is an FM community radio station, primarily serving the Yorkshire Coast in England. It was launched on 9 November 2016 on the MuxCo North Yorkshire DAB multiplex. DAB transmissions ceased on 1 January 2019, when the station became online only. It has studios in Scarborough and Malton. In September 2020 it was announced that the station would start broadcasting to Scarborough on 97.4 FM, from the Oliver's Mount transmitter. The FM test broadcasts began in October 2020, with the programme service beginning on 2 November 2020. In August 2021 plans were announced to extend coverage. With additional FM transmitters proposed for Whitby and Ravenscar. The Whitby transmitter, located at the Whitby Town F.C. ground came into service early November 2021. The switch on date for the Ravenscar transmitter has yet to be published.

Scarborough War Memorial is a war memorial at the north end of Oliver's Mount in the town of Scarborough in North Yorkshire. It is listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England. The memorial consists of a stone obelisk atop a square pedestal on a square mound. 11 steps lead up to the obelisk. It was dedicated on 26 September 1923 in a ceremony attended by Councillor William Boyes and Reverend J. Wynwayd Capron. It was later rededicated on 12 November 1950.The memorial names 241 individuals who died in World War II and 70 who died in the Korean War. The 53 civilians of Scarborough who were killed in World War I and the 42 civilians who died in World War II are also named.

Albemarle Baptist Church is a Grade II listed church located on Albemarle Crescent, central Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. It was designed in the Gothic Revival style by the Bradford architect Henry Francis Lockwood, and opened in 1867.
