Cogie Hill railway station, also known as Cogie Hill Halt railway station and Cogie Hill Crossing railway station served the village of Winmarleigh, Lancashire, England, from 1870 to 1930 on the Garstang and Knot-End Railway.

Eagland Hill is a rural hamlet in the civil parish of Pilling, in the county of Lancashire, England. It lies in a part of the Fylde, west of Garstang, known locally as Over Wyre. The church, dedicated to St Mark, dates from 1870. The area attracts many bird-watchers, due to the number of rare birds.

Garstang Road railway station served the hamlet of Stake Pool, Lancashire, England, from 1923 to 1930 on the Knott End branch of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway.

Nateby railway station served the village Nateby in Lancashire, England. It was originally named Winmarleigh railway station after the landowner at that time and was renamed after his death in 1902. Originally only a halt with the platform on the southern side of the line, it received a passing loop in 1909 and a second platform on the northern side, and by 1910 it also had a goods siding with a cattle dock. Passenger services were withdrawn in 1930, and the station closed altogether in 1950.

The A588 is a road in England which runs from Poulton-le-Fylde to Lancaster in Lancashire. It is the main route serving the Over Wyre areas of the Fylde. The road runs a total distance of 20 miles (32 km), in a roughly north-easterly direction, and is largely rural in character. It begins at a junction with the A586 in Poulton-le-Fylde (53.8436°N 2.9922°W / 53.8436; -2.9922 (A588 road (southern end))), and runs 1 mile (2 km) north-east, through Queen's Square, before becoming Breck Road. It meets the A585 eastbound at the River Wyre roundabout. After sharing with the A585 as Mains Lane for 0.5 miles (0.8 km), it turns north (left) away from the A585, crossing the River Wyre at Shard Bridge, the last crossing of the river before its estuary. From here the road winds through the Over-Wyre villages of Hambleton, Stalmine and Pilling and across the marshy land that abuts the Cockerham Sands portion of Morecambe Bay. At Cockerham, almost 12 miles (19 km) from Shard Bridge, the road turns to the left, and, as Lancaster Road, runs a further 6 miles (10 km) north into Lancaster, eventually terminating as it joins the A6 by the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (54.0416°N 2.7969°W / 54.0416; -2.7969 (A588 road (northern end))).

Nateby is a village and a civil parish in the Wyre district, in the English county of Lancashire near the town of Garstang. Nateby has a primary school, a place of worship and a post office. It once had a railway station called Nateby railway station, but the station closed on 31 March 1930. In 2001 the parish had a population of 475, increasing to 584 at the 2011 census.The manor belongs to the executors of the late R. Thompson, Esq. The admiral and MP Roger Strickland was the second son of Walter Strickland of Nateby Hall.

Winmarleigh is a village and civil parish of the Borough of Wyre in Lancashire, England. The population taken at the 2011 census was 273. The village, which is north-west of Garstang, has an agricultural college, and the Duchy of Lancaster has an estate here. This includes the local pub, the Patten Arms. It is home to the great manor of Winmarleigh Hall. Constructed to the order of the Duchy of Lancaster, it was given to the first Lord Winmarleigh. Since then the house has been donated to NST Travel Group, who have turned the grounds into an outdoor education programme for schools across the country.Winmarleigh railway station opened in 1870 on the Garstang and Knot-End Railway. It was renamed Nateby railway station in 1902 and closed in 1930.The school and school house, which date from 1870, were designed by Lancaster architects Paley and Austin. The current Lord of the Manor of Winmarleigh is Shawn Casini. This was re-enacted in 2023.

Wyre is a local government district with borough status on the coast of Lancashire, England. The council is based in Poulton-le-Fylde and the borough also contains the towns of Cleveleys, Fleetwood, Garstang, Preesall and Thornton, along with numerous villages and surrounding rural areas. Some of the borough's built-up areas form part of the wider Blackpool urban area. Eastern parts of the borough lie within the Forest of Bowland, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The borough is named after the River Wyre, which runs through the area and meets the sea at Fleetwood. There are no road or rail connections between the parts of the borough either side of the Wyre estuary, and it is necessary to cross the neighbouring Fylde district in order to travel between the two parts of Wyre, or else use the Wyre Estuary Ferry between Fleetwood and Knott End. The neighbouring districts are Blackpool, Fylde, Preston, Ribble Valley and Lancaster.
