Cahors Cathedral (French: Cathédrale Saint-Étienne de Cahors) is a Roman Catholic church located in the town of Cahors, Occitanie, France. A national monument, it is an example of the transition between the late Romanesque and Gothic architectural traditions.

Cahors (French pronunciation: [kaɔʁ] ; Occitan: Caors [kaˈuɾs, ˈkɔw(s)]) is a commune in the western part of Southern France. It is the smallest prefecture among the 13 departments that constitute the Occitanie Region. The capital and main city of the Lot department and the historical center of the Quercy, Cahors is home to 20,050 cadurciennes and cadurciens (2023). Nestled in a meander of the Lot and surrounded by steep arid limestone hills, this historic city is home to great monumental diversity, mainly inherited from Roman times and the Middle Ages; the city's monuments include a historic city centre, Saint-Étienne cathedral, Roman walls and the famous Valentré bridge (a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the pilgrimage path to Santiago de Compostela). Famed for its wine and gastronomy (truffles and foie gras), this southern French city holds the label of the French Towns of Art and History. The Cadurcian economy is reliant on tertiary services and makes Cahors the Lot's economic centre.

The arrondissement of Cahors is an arrondissement of France in the Lot department in the Occitanie région. It has 97 communes. Its population is 73,707 (2021), and its area is 1,860.9 km2 (718.5 sq mi).

The Pont Valentré (French pronunciation: [pɔ̃ valɑ̃tʁe]) (Occitan: Pont de Balandras; English: Valentré Bridge) is a 14th-century six-span fortified stone arch bridge crossing the river Lot to the west of Cahors, in France. It has become a symbol of the city. After the decision was made to build it on 30 April 1306, construction began on 17 June 1308. It was built between 1308 and 1378 with six Gothic arches and three square bridge towers. It opened for use in 1350. It was originally fortified at both ends; the western tower has not survived. The bridge was built due to increasing tensions in the region between France and England that would eventually erupt into the Hundred Years' War around 30 years later. A major restoration was performed from 1867 to 1879 by Paul Gout. The bridge was classified in 1998 as a World Heritage Site. This bridge can only be crossed by foot.

Communauté d'agglomération du Grand Cahors is the communauté d'agglomération, an intercommunal structure, centred on the town of Cahors. It is located in the Lot department, in the Occitania region, southern France. Created in 2009, its seat is in Cahors. Its area is 593.2 km2. Its population was 41,795 in 2019, of which 19,937 in Cahors proper.

Bellefont-La Rauze is a commune in the department of Lot, southern France. The municipality was established on 1 January 2017 by merger of the former communes of Laroque-des-Arcs (the seat), Cours and Valroufié.

Laroque-des-Arcs (French pronunciation: [laʁɔk de.z‿aʁk]; Languedocien: La Ròca dels Arcs) is a former commune in the Lot department in south-western France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune Bellefont-La Rauze.

Pradines (French pronunciation: [pʁadin]; Occitan: Pradinas) is a commune in the Lot department in south-western France.

Lamagdelaine (French pronunciation: [lamaɡdəlɛn]; Occitan: La Magdalena) is a commune located in the Lot department in south-western France.
