KANAL - Centre Pompidou is museum for modern and contemporary art located in Brussels, Belgium, near the Brussels–Charleroi Canal, in the former buildings of a Citroën garage. The definitive opening is scheduled for 2025.

The Citroën Garage (French: Garage Citroën, Dutch: Citroëngarage), originally a garage and showroom, is located at Place Yser/IJzerplein in the City of Brussels. It served as Citroën Belux's headquarters until 2012 and continued as a showroom until 2017. The building was designed by Alexis Dumont, Marcel Van Goethem, and Maurice-Jacques Ravazé, and constructed from 1933 to 1934.

The 2023 Brussels shooting was an Islamist terrorist attack carried out at about 19:15 (CEST) on 16 October when Abdesalem Lassoued, a 45-year-old Tunisian living illegally in Brussels, Belgium, opened fire on Swedish football supporters at the intersection of two boulevards just off the Square Sainctelette, leaving two dead and one injured. The victims were on their way to a football match at the King Baudouin Stadium. Lassoued fled the scene, and soon after a video was posted on social media in which he claimed responsibility for the attack. The Belgian federal prosecutor immediately concentrated its investigation on a terrorist motive. The following morning, Lassoued was tracked down to a café in the Schaerbeek municipality where he was shot by Belgian police and died on the way to hospital. Following the attack, the terror threat level for Brussels was raised from 2 to 4, the highest level. In the rest of Belgium, it was raised from level 2 to 3. After Lassoued's death, Brussels was lowered to level 3, the same as the rest of the country. Four days after the attack, Belgian Justice Minister Vincent Van Quickenborne resigned after it emerged that an extradition request by Tunisia for Lassoued in August 2022 had not been followed up by Belgian magistrates.

The Square Sainctelette (Dutch: Sainctelettesquare) is a square located in the City of Brussels municipality of Brussels, Belgium. It lies along the Brussels–Charleroi Canal, on the border with the Molenbeek-Saint-Jean municipality, from which it is separated by the canal. It is named in honour of Charles-Xavier Sainctelette, a former Belgian minister for public works.

The Opéra du Quai au Foin was the first public theatre in Brussels. Opened on 24 January 1682, it was abandoned in 1697 and turned into a warehouse.

The MigratieMuseumMigration (MMM) is a Belgian migration museum at Rue des Ateliers/Werkhuizenstraat 17 in Molenbeek, in the Brussels-Capital Region, which opened in October 2019. It is one of the 235 (as of 2024) museums to which access is provided by the Belgian national "Museum Pass" and one of the 49 (as of 2024) museums included in the "Brussels Card".The museum was founded in 2019 by the Foyer de Molenbeek-Saint Jean, which had been established in 1969.People from about 180 countries live in the capital region of Brussels, and the museum presents the history of the first guest workers, the homeless, the war refugees and also the European internal migrants. The museum "pays tribute to the many migrants who have helped shape the city".

Yser (French) or IJzer (Dutch) is a Brussels metro station on the northern segment of lines 2 and 6. It opened on 2 October 1988 and is located under the small ring between Place Yser/IJzerplein and Porte d'Anvers/Antwerpsepoort in the municipality of the City of Brussels (Belgium). Its name derives from the river Yser.

Materials Quay (French: Quai des Matériaux; Dutch: Materialenkaai) is a quay and park located along the Brussels Canal, on the border between the City of Brussels and the Molenbeek municipality of Brussels, Belgium. Once a key logistical hub for the city's construction industry, the site has since been redeveloped into a contemporary public green space and is crossed by the Suzan Daniel Bridge.

The Royal Flemish Theatre (Dutch: Koninklijke Vlaamse Schouwburg, abbreviated KVS, French: Théâtre royal flamand) is a theatre in Brussels, Belgium. It is the anchor of the Flemish theatre company in Brussels, which aims to promote professional theatre in the Dutch language in Belgium and abroad. A place is also made for dance, poetry, music and temporary exhibitions. The theatre is located in the Quays Quarter, where the inner port of the City of Brussels was located until the end of the 19th century. Its main facade is located on the Rue de Laeken/Lakensestraat. It is served by the metro stations Yser/IJzer (on lines 2 and 6), De Brouckère (on lines 1, 3, 4 and 5) and Sainte-Catherine/Sint-Katelijne (on lines 1 and 5).

The Anspach Fountain (French: Fontaine Anspach, Dutch: Anspachfontein) is an eclectic-style fountain-obelisk erected in 1897 in the centre of the Place de Brouckère/De Brouckèreplein in Brussels, Belgium. Designed by the architect Charles-Émile Janlet, it is dedicated to the memory of Jules Anspach, a former mayor of the City of Brussels.The monument was dismantled in 1973 following construction work on the Brussels Metro. It was reinstalled in 1981 in its current location on the Square des Blindés/Pantsertroepensquare, between the Quai aux Briques/Baksteenkaai and the Quai au Bois à Brûler/Brandhoutkaai, in the Sainte-Catherine/Sint Katelijne neighbourhood.
