Round Lake (Emmet County, Michigan)

Petoskey State Park is a public recreation area covering 303 acres (123 ha) on Lake Michigan in Bear Creek Township, Emmet County, Michigan. The state park is located three miles (4.8 km) northeast of the city of Petoskey on Little Traverse Bay. It is surrounded by heavily vegetated sand dunes that are excellent examples of parabolic dunes. Michigan's state stone, the Petoskey stone, can be found on the park beach.

Conway is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Emmet County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a population of 204.

Little Traverse Township is a civil township of Emmet County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,380 at the 2010 census.

The Stafford’s Bay View Inn is located in Bay View, Michigan, on Little Traverse Bay. The inn is a historical building that has been around for over 120 years as part of the Bay View Association of the Methodist Church established in 1876. Crooked Lake is a lake that feeds the Crooked River. Located within Emmet County in the U.S. state of Michigan, it is the southwesternmost point of the recreational Inland Waterway. This watercourse uses locks to connect Crooked Lake with Lake Huron at Cheboygan. The discharge of water from Crooked Lake is controlled by the Alanson Waterway Locks located near Alanson, Michigan.The lake is a remnant of the postglacial Lake Nipissing. Its convoluted shape is the outcome of the glacier-cut topography through which its water drains, which includes lateral moraines, recessional moraines, and at least one kettle gouged by melting ice. Three small lakeside communities, Conway, Oden, and Ponshewaing, reflect the historic operations of depots of the Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad that once brought residents and visitors to and from the lake. Today the north shore of the lake is served by U.S. Highway 31, and a continuous strip of development joins together the road and lake.

Nub's Nob is a ski area in Pleasantview Township, Michigan, United States. It is near Harbor Springs. Opened by Norman and Dorie Sarns in 1958 as a small ski hill, it has sprawled out to a fairly large ski destination with nine lifts. The area gets its name from the nickname of founder Norman "Nubby" Sarns.

The G. W. Olin House is a private house located at 610 Kalamazoo Street in Petoskey, Michigan. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.The G. W. Olin House is a well-preserved example of a bungalow. It is a 1½-story front-gable structure with a gabled front porch supported by Doric piers. It has exposed eaves and multi-paned windows.The house was constructed in the late 19th century, possibly in 1898. G.W Olin and his wife lived in the house in 1899, along with their daughter, Nellie, who was a clerk at the Cushman House. By 1903 the Warren family lived in the house.

The George and Eugene Markle House is a private house located at 701 Kalamazoo Street in Petoskey, Michigan. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.The George and Eugene Markle House is a two-story frame cross-gable Queen Anne house. A two-story shed roofed addition fills the angle between the walls behind the front porch. The porch itself is a hip-roofed wraparound porch with Doric piers. The house is clad with clapboard, with the gables covered with decorative shingling.The house was constructed before 1899, and is associated with George and Eugene Markle, who owned and operated the nearby Markle Machine Works.
