Military University of Technology (MUT, Polish: Wojskowa Akademia Techniczna im. Jarosława Dąbrowskiego – WAT) is the civil-military technical academic institution in Poland, located at Bemowo, Warsaw. It was established in 1951. The university's rector-commander is płk. Przemysław Wachulak. The university is supervised by the Minister of National Defence of Poland and conducts scientific research for the needs of Polish Armed Forces. Currently the university educates almost 10,000 students. The staff consists of about 1,000 employees, including 220 professors.University leads both military and civilian studies. Military graduates receive not only professional title of magister inżynier, but are also promoted to military rank of podporucznik (second lieutenant). Formally being professional soldiers, military students attend school on the principles of ordinary military service. They are quartered in military dormitories and attend a variety of different military trainings and lectures. After graduating, they are formally obliged to serve in Polish Armed Forces under threat of reimbursement of education costs. Only Polish citizens are eligible for military studies.Contrary to military students, civilian ones can study normally, without any commitments to the Ministry of National Defence. Civilian studies allow to obtain professional titles such as: inżynier or licencjat (first cycle studies), magister inżynier or magister (second cycle studies) and a scientific degree of doktor. Due to changes in Polish law, since October 2019, separate Doctoral School operates in the structure of MUT. Full-time studies are free, extramural studies are payable.Obviously, scientific research conducted in MUT focus on issues connected with military and national defense. MUT was the place where in 1963 first Polish laser was created. In 1964 analog computer ELWAT (later produced by Elwro in Wrocław) was also created in MUT. One of the biggest contemporary projects which was developed at the university was so-called Modular Firearm System, 5.56 mm MSBS rifle, currently manufactured and further developed by FB "Łucznik" Radom. The rifle is to become the next main service rifle of the Polish Armed Forces.

Lotnisko (lit. from Polish: airfield) is a neighbourhood and City Information System area in the Bemowo district of Warsaw, Poland. The majority its territory is occupied by the Warsaw Babice Airport, and the neighbourhood lacks any residential areas. The Warsaw Babice Airport was built between 1946 and 1950. Originally used by the military, it was scaled down at the end of the 1980s, with one of its two runways being removed, and eventually opened for civilian use in 1991.

Warsaw-Babice (ICAO code: EPBC) is an airport in Warsaw, located in the residential district of Bemowo, near the border with the district of Bielany. It is also unofficially known as Bemowo. The airport is administered by the Centre for Logistics "Warsaw-Babice" (Centrum Usług Logistycznych "Lotnisko Warszawa-Babice") and organisations based there include: the Warsaw Aero Club (Aeroklub Warszawski) and Polish Air Rescue (Lotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe). It has been used for various events and celebrity arrivals including Michael Jackson (1996), Madonna (2009), AC/DC (2010), and the Sonisphere Festival (2010, 2011, 2012).

Fort Radiowo is a neighbourhood and City Information System area in the Bemowo district of Warsaw, Poland. It features the campus of the Military University of Technology and low-rise single-family housing, as well as the historic Fort IIA, dating to the 1880s. In the 1880s, the Fort IIA Babice (later also known as Radiowo), was built in the area of the modern neighbourhood, as part of the fortifications of Warsaw. In 1923, it was adopted to house the broadcasting infrastructure of the Transatlantic Radiotelegraph Exchange, at the time, one of the largest radio communication stations in the world. In 1933, a small suburb of Boernerowo was built nearby to house its employees. The complex was destroyed in 1944 during the Second World War. In 1951, the campus of the Military University of Technology was built in the area. It was incorporated into the city the same year.

Boernerowo is a neighbourhood in the Warsaw's borough of Bemowo. Initially the spot was occupied by a small village called Babice, with an eponymous fort located in its centre. In early 1920s the area surrounding the fort was bought by the Polish state and in 1922 the Ministry of Post and Telegraphs started the construction of the Transatlantic Radio Station. As the radio station did not occupy the entire terrain, in 1932 minister Ignacy Boerner ordered a construction of a housing area to accommodate the workers of the radio station, as well as other people working in communications industry in the nearby city of Warsaw. The settlement grew and in 1936 it was named after its founder. After the World War II the area was taken over by the Polish Army who constructed there the Babice Airfield that was to replace the destroyed Bielany Airfield, and a large university complex of the Military Technical Academy. In 1951 the area was incorporated into the borough of Wola and then in 1994 into the borough of Bemowo.

Bemowo-Lotnisko (Bemowo-Airfield), also known as Nowe Bemowo (New Bemowo), is a neighbourhood and City Information System area in the Bemowo district of Warsaw, Poland. It is a residential area dominated by mid- and high-rise housing estates with apartment buildings. It also features a portion of the Warsaw Babice Airport, with several hangars and taxiways. The Warsaw Babice Airport was built in the area between 1946 and 1950. Originally used by the military, it was scaled down at the end of the 1980s, with one of its two runways being removed, and eventually opened for civilian use in 1991. Throughout the 1980s, several housing estates with apartment buildings, were developed within the neighbourhood.

Groty is a neighbourhood and City Information System area in the Bemowo district of Warsaw, Poland. It is a residential area with mostly low-rise housing. The oldest known records of Groty, then a small farming community, dates to 1462. The village was destroyed between 1655 and 1656 by the Swedish army during the Second Northern War, and rebuilt afterwards. It was incorporated into the city in 1951, and in the 1970s, low-rise housing estates had developed in its area.

Stare Górce (Old Górce) is a neighbourhood in the Bemowo district of Warsaw, Poland, in the western side of the City Information System area of Górce. It is a high-rise residential area dominated by apartment buildings. The neighbourhood features the Bemowo station of the M2 line of the Warsaw Metro rapid transit underground system. In the 1940s, suburb neighbourhoods with single-family detached homes were built in the area, as the extension of the village of Górce. In the 1990s, the housing estates of apartment buildings began being developed in the area.

Radiowo is a neighbourhood, and a City Information System area, in Warsaw, Poland, located within the district of Bielany.In the 17th century, within current boundries of the neighbourhood was founded the settlement of Opaleń, and later, in the 18th century, there was founded the village of Gać, later renamed to Radiowo. Both were incorporated into the city of Warsaw in 1951.

Blizne Łaszczyńskiego [ˈbliznɛ waʂt͡ʂɨɲsˈkʲɛɡɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stare Babice, within Warsaw West County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) east of Stare Babice, 7 km (4 mi) north-east of Ożarów Mazowiecki, and 9 km (6 mi) west of Warsaw. The village has a population of 813.

Lazurowa is a future metro station on the western part of Line M2 of the Warsaw Metro. It is located in the vicinity of Górczewska and Lazurowa streets, in the Bemowo district. The opening of the station is planned for 2026.The station will form an important public transport hub together with the nearby bus and tram stops „Osiedle Górczewska”. It will form a quicker connection between the city centre and the city’s western suburbs.

Górce is a neighbourhood and City Information System area in the Bemowo district of Warsaw, Poland. It is a high-rise residential area dominated by apartment buildings. The neighbourhood features the Bemowo station of the M2 line of the Warsaw Metro rapid transit underground system. Górce was founded prior to the 15th century, as a small farming community. It suffered significant damage from the Swedish army during the Second Northern War, recovering in the 17th century, and further developing in the 18th century. Between the 1920s and 1940s, the village became a suburb of Warsaw, with the development of single-family detached homes, and was incorporated into the city in 1951. In the 1980s, the housing estates of apartment buildings began being developed in the area.
