Mount David (also known as Mount Davis, Davis Mountain, and David's Mountain) is a rocky summit in Lewiston, Maine, on the campus of Bates College in back of Rand Hall. It is one of the highest points in Lewiston at 381 feet and offers views of the White Mountains including Mount Washington on a clear day.

Historic Quad, also known as the Historic Quadrangle, in Lewiston, Maine, is a grassy area of 22.4 acres (9.1 ha) enclosed by fences with five garnet gates. It is the oldest part of the Bates College campus, and serves as its historic center as well as the site of annual commencement exercises and other convocations. The areas is principally surrounded by College Street, Campus Avenue, Central Avenue and Andrews Road. The most center building on the Quad is Hathorn Hall, built in 1856 it was inducted into National Register of Historic Places in 1970. Hathorn is flanked by the oldest residential dorm at the college, Parker Hall (1856), and the second oldest natural science building Dana Chemistry Hall (1965) which is adjacent to Hedge Hall (1890) which is perpendicular to Coram Library (1902) and Carnegie Science Building (1913). Directly across the stairs of Hathorn is Lindholm House, which houses the admissions office.

The Captain Holland House is an historic house in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1872, this three-story brick building is a fine local example of the Second Empire style. It was built by Daniel Holland, one of the city's leading industrialists. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Main Street–Frye Street Historic District is a historic district comprising houses on Frye Street and parts of College Street and Main Street in Lewiston, Maine. This area was part of the most fashionable residential district of the city in the second half of the 19th century, and was home to many of the city's elite. Its architectural styles are diverse, with a significant number of homes designed by local architect George M. Coombs. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Senator William P. Frye House is a historic house on 453-461 Main Street in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1874, it is a fine example of Second Empire architecture in the city, designed by local architects Fassett & Stevens for William P. Frye, a mayor of Lewiston and a United States senator. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Isaacson House is a historic house at 2 Benson Street in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1959 for Philip M. Isaacson, a local lawyer, it is a distinctive regional example of modest Mid-Century Modern residential architecture, that drew nationwide notice in architectural circles after its construction. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Hathorn Hall is a historic academic building on the campus of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1857 to a design by Gridley J.F. Bryant, it was the college's first academic building following the move of the Maine State Seminary (as it was then known) from Parsonsfield to Lewiston. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

The Stephens Observatory is located atop the Carnegie Science Building at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. It houses a 12 in (30 cm) Newtonian reflecting telescope, built by Roscoe G. Stephens of Kennebunk, Maine, and donated to the College in 1929. It is used mainly as a teaching facility for upper-level astronomy classes. The observatory has a modern tracking system and electronic drive mechanism.

The James C. Lord House is a historic house in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1885 for a prominent local businessman, it is a high quality blend of late 19th-century architectural styles. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Bates College () is a private liberal arts college in Lewiston, Maine. Anchored by the Historic Quad, the campus of Bates totals 813 acres (329 ha). It maintains 600 acres (240 ha) of nature preserve known as the "Bates-Morse Mountain" near Campbell Island and a coastal center on Atkins Bay. Bates provides undergraduate instruction in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering and offers joint undergraduate programs. A baccalaureate college, the undergraduate program requires all students to complete a thesis before graduation, and has a privately funded research enterprise. In addition to being a part of the "Maine Big Three", Bates competes in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) with 31 varsity teams, and 13 club teams. The Bates athletic program has graduated 12 Olympians and 209 All-Americans and maintains 32 varsity sports, which compete in NCAA Division III and two in Division I. Bates alumni, including faculty, include 86 Fulbright Scholars; 22 Watson Fellows; 5 Rhodes Scholars; as well as 12 members of the U.S. Congress; 7 Emmy Award winners; 5 Pulitzer Prize winners; and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.

The Jordan School is a historic school building at 35 Wood Street in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1902, it is an important local example of Italian Renaissance architecture, designed by the architect William R. Miller. It served as the city's first purpose-built high school, and has been converted to residential use. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Holland–Drew House is a historic house at 377 Main Street in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1854, it is a high-quality local example of Italianate architecture executed in brick. It is also notable for some of its owners, who were prominent in the civic and business affairs of the city. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
