Shin-Ōkubo Station

Ōkubo (大久保), also known as Shin-Ōkubo (新大久保), is a neighborhood in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. The neighborhood is built around Shin-Ōkubo Station, accessible on the Yamanote Line, and is known for its extensive Korean community. Shin-Ōkubo is home to both Korean residents in Japan as well as Korean immigrants, and has seen an upsurge in popularity due to the Hallyu Korean pop-culture boom. In recent years the area has also attracted many Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern immigrants, with many international restaurants and stores opening up in the neighborhood as a result.

The Tokyo Mazu Temple (Japanese: 東京媽祖廟) is a Chinese temple dedicated to the sea goddess Mazu, located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. It opened in October 2013.

The Panasonic Globe Theatre in Tokyo, Japan, was designed by Isozaki Arata and opened in 1988 to showcase local and international productions of Shakespeare's plays. Guest companies and artists have included the British Royal National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Ingmar Bergman, Peter Brook, Barry Kyle and Robert Lepage, as well as such Kabuki stars as Bando Tamasaburo (Lady Macbeth), and Ichikawa Somegoro (Kabuki Hamlet).

Tokyu Kabukicho Tower is a 48-storey skyscraper located in the Kabukichō district of Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. The 225 m (738 ft) tower was designed by Yuko Nagayama & Associates and developed by Shimizu Corporation. It was completed in 2023 as Japan's 19th tallest building.

Seibu-Shinjuku Station (西武新宿駅, Seibu-Shinjuku-eki) is a railway station in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Seibu Railway. It is the terminus of the 47.5 km Seibu Shinjuku Line, which extends to Hon-Kawagoe in Saitama Prefecture.The station is located approximately 420 meters by foot from Shinjuku Station. It is part of the Shinjuku Prince Hotel and Seibu Shinjuku PePe shopping complex, with the ticket machines and platforms located on the second-floor level. The main entrance is located at the southern end, and a smaller "North entrance" is located at the north end of the station.

Shinjuku Face (新宿FACE, Shinjuku feisu) is an event hall located on the 7th floor of the Humax Pavilion Shinjuku complex, 1-20-1 Kabukicho, Tokyo, Japan. It mainly hosts mixed martial arts, boxing and professional wrestling events. Shinjuku Face has a capacity of approximately 600 people.

Yodobashi ward (淀橋区, Yodobashi-ku) is one of the 35 former wards of Tokyo-Fu, Tokyo City. On October 1, 1932, the towns of Yodobashi, Okubo, Totsuka, and Ochiai were merged into Yodobashi ward. In 1947, it was merged with Yotsuya and Ushigome wards of Tokyo City to form the present-day Shinjuku ward. It covered 9.33 square kilometres (3.60 sq mi) and 51,090 people as of October 1, 1945, shortly after the end of World War II and after mass loss of population due to Bombing of Tokyo. Yodobashi Camera is a store with its name taken from the town and ward.

The Shinjuku Koma Theater (新宿コマ劇場, Shinjuku Koma Gekijō) was a major theatre in the Kabukichō, Shinjuku, Tokyo. The theatre opened in 1956 and it had a capacity of 2,088 seats.

Shinjuku Toho Building (新宿東宝ビル, Shinjuku Tōhō Biru) is a building in Kabukichō, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. It features Toho Cinemas Shinjuku (TOHOシネマズ新宿), a theater run by Toho's subsidiary Toho Cinemas, and the Godzilla head on the terrace of its Hotel Gracery.

The Godzilla head is a landmark and tourist attraction in Kabukichō, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. The sculpture is accessible from Hotel Gracery Shinjuku's Godzilla Terrace, on the Shinjuku Toho Building. It depicts Godzilla, occasionally with "glowing eyes and smoky breath". The 80-ton head, based on Godzilla's appearance in Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992), was unveiled in 2015. Its placement on the Hotel Gracery's terrace matches Godzilla's 50 meter height seen during the Showa era films in the franchise.

The Myojo 56 building fire (明星56ビル火災, Myōjō Gojū-Roku Biru Kasai) was a structural fire that began at about 01:00 local time on September 1, 2001 in the Myojo 56 building, located in the Kabukichō section of Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. The fire, the fifth-deadliest in post-war Japanese history, burned for five hours before being extinguished and resulted in the deaths of 44 people. It is suspected that the fire resulted from arson, but no suspect was ever arrested. In the aftermath of the incident, media coverage focused on the arrest and conviction of the property owners for criminal negligence and on the building's putative ties to organized crime.
