Heron Cross is a suburb situated between Blurton and Fenton, in Stoke on Trent. It has a pharmacy, two corner shops, two pubs, two hairdressers, a school, a park and a pot bank. It has two main streets, Grove Road and Heron Street. Heron Cross is a home to about 1,000 people. The school, Heron Cross Primary School is a primary school for people aged 3/4 to 10/11 (nursery to y6). Mrs Shenton is the current headteacher. Her time there extends from September 2008 to the present.

Fenton railway station was opened in 1864 by the North Staffordshire Railway on its line to Derby. It closed in 1961. It was located in Heron Cross and was one of two stations in the area, the other being Fenton Manor. The buildings and platforms have been demolished although the site itself is still identifiable, occupied by a communications mast.

Fenton is one of the six towns that amalgamated with Hanley, Tunstall, Burslem, Longton and Stoke-upon-Trent to form the county borough of Stoke-on-Trent in 1910, later raised to city status in 1925. Fenton is often referred to as "the Forgotten Town", because it was omitted by local author, Arnold Bennett, from many of his works based in the area, including one of his most famous novels, Anna of the Five Towns. It is in the ceremonial county of Staffordshire, England

Christ Church is an Anglican church in Fenton, Staffordshire, England. It is in the parish of Stoke-upon-Trent and Fenton, and in the Diocese of Lichfield. The building is Grade II listed.

Fenton Carnegie Library is an Edwardian building in Fenton, Staffordshire, England. It was built in 1906 with money from Andrew Carnegie, who had a programme for funding library construction in the United Kingdom and elsewhere. The library was closed in 2012, one of the large number of English libraries that closed around that time as a result of cuts in local government expenditure. In 2018/2019 the building was used for temporary exhibitions.

Fenton Town Hall is a municipal building in Albert Square in Fenton, Staffordshire, England. It is now occupied by local businesses, a café and an art gallery.

Blurton is a district in the south of Stoke-on-Trent, in the English county of Staffordshire. Hollybush, Old Blurton, Blurton Farm and Newstead are the names of the areas in which make up the town known as Blurton.

Fenton Manor railway station was a station in the Fenton area of Stoke-on-Trent, opened in 1889 by the North Staffordshire Railway on its line to Leek. It was located on Victoria Road and was one of two stations in the area, the other being Fenton on the Stoke-Derby Line. The station closed in 1956. The track is still in situ and the buildings still exist. The platform edges can still be traced.At the end of the station, towards Leek, is the Fenton Manor Tunnel which is 106 yards (97 m) long.

St Thomas More Catholic Academy is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in the Longton area of Stoke-on-Trent in the English county of Staffordshire. The school is named after Saint Thomas More, a sixteenth century elder statesman who was martyred for his refusal to accept King Henry VIII's claim to be the supreme head of the church. First established in 1980 as a voluntary aided upper school for pupils aged 12 to 18, in 1983 St Thomas More became a secondary school for pupils aged 11 to 18. The school gained a specialism in Maths and Computing in 2004 and became a Training school in 2009. In 2013 the school relocated to a new building and converted to academy status, sponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham.St Thomas More Catholic Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels and further BTECs. The sixth form provision is offered as the Trinity Sixth Form, a collaboration between St Thomas More Catholic Academy, St John Fisher Catholic College, and St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy.

Stoke-on-Trent South is a constituency created in 1950, and represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2017 by Jack Brereton, a Conservative. The local electorate returned a Labour MP in every election until 2017, when Brereton became its first Conservative MP. The seat is non-rural and in the upper valley of the Trent covering half of the main city of the Potteries, a major ceramics centre since the 17th century. Previously a safe Labour seat, it is now held by the Conservatives by a majority of over 11,000, having gained the seat in the 2017 election and hugely increased their vote in the 2019 election.

St. Peter's Academy is an Anglican secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent, England. It is an academy sponsored by the Woodard Academies and the Diocese of Lichfield. It is the merger of two former schools: Berryhill High School and Sports College and St Peter's High School.

The Bet365 Stadium (stylised as bet365 Stadium) is an all-seater football stadium in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England and the home of EFL Championship club Stoke City. The stadium was previously called the Britannia Stadium but was renamed on 1 June 2016 when the club entered into a new stadium-naming-rights agreement with its parent company, Bet365. It has a capacity of 30,089 following the completion of expansion works in 2017.The stadium was built in 1998 at a cost of £14.8 million as a replacement for the Victoria Ground. Former player Sir Stanley Matthews' ashes were buried beneath the centre circle of the pitch following his death in February 2000; he had officially opened the stadium on 30 August 1997. In European competitions it is known as the Stoke Ground due to UEFA regulations on sponsorships.
