Niels Hemmingsens Gade 3 is a late 18th-century residential property situated off Amagertorv in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1959. The rear side of the building faces the grounds of the Church of the Holy Ghost.

Amagertorv (English: Amager Square) is a public square in the district of Indre By in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Today it forms part of the Strøget pedestrian zone, and is often described as the most central square in Copenhagen. Second only to Gammeltorv, it is also one of the oldest, taking its name from the Amager farmers who in the Middle Ages came into town to sell their produce at the site. Now the square is a central junction in the heart of Copenhagen, dominated by its Stork Fountain and a number of buildings, the oldest of which dates back to 1616. In opposite directions, Strøget extends towards Kongens Nytorv and the City Hall Square, the two largest squares in Copenhagen, to the northwest Købmagergade leads to Nørreport, the busiest railway station in Denmark, and to the southeast Højbro Plads connects to Slotsholmen across Højbro Bridge, and from there onwards to Christianshavn and Amager on the other side of the harbour. The paving is from 1993 and was designed by Bjørn Nørgaard. It consists of a pattern of pentagonal granite stones in five colours.

Amagertorv 11/Læderstræde 11 is a Neoclassical property situated on the shopping street Strøget in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Constructed in 1798–1802 as part of the rebuilding of the city following the Copenhagen Fire of 1795, it owes its current appearance to two renovation undertaken in 1884 and 1903. The property was from around 1810 to 1845 owned by Gerson Melchior, owner of Moses & Søn G. Melchior. His sons Moses Melchior and Moritz G. Melchior, who would eventually continue the family firm, and Israel B. Melchior, an engineer and photographer, grew up in the building. In 1856, Melchior's heirs sold the property to wholesaler Sabinus Seidelin, whose trading firm S. Seidelin was subsequently operated from the rear wing. In 1903, S. Seidelin relocated to a new head office at Skindergade 7.

Læderstræde 11B was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1939. No. 11A is not heritage listed. Notable former residents include the businessman Louis Meyer for whom the younger of the two buildings was constructed.

Klostergården, also known as Det Petersenske Jomfrukloster, is a listed Neoclassical property on Amagertorv (No. 29) in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. The rear side of the building faces Læderstræde. A passageway, Klostergangen, passes through the building.

The Matthias Hansen House (Danish: Matthias Hansens Gård), formerly also known as the Schoustrup House (Danish: Schoustrups Gård) is a Renaissance-style townhouse on Amagertorv (No. 6) in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Built in 1616, it is one of few buildings of its kind which has survived the Copenhagen Fires of 1728 and 1795. The building is now home to a flagship store for the Royal Copenhagen porcelain factory.

Købmagergade 13 is an 18th-century townhouse situated on the shopping street Købmagergade, between Amagertorv and Valkendorfsgade, in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1974. The complex consists of a four-storey building towards the street, two consecutive, half-timbered side wings along one side of a courtyard, a cross wing, separating the first and second courtyard from each other,, another half-timbered side wing along one side of the second courtyard, and two rear wings. Notable former residents include the businessmen Peter Pierre Tutein, Friederich Tutein and Peter van Gemmert, book printer Andreas Seidelin, educator Jens Ernst Wegener and architect Gottlieb Bindesbøll.

The Post & Tele Museum was Denmark’s national museum of post and telecommunications from 1913 to 2017. In January 2017 it reopened in a new location as Enigma - Museum for Post, Tele og Kommunikation (Enigma - Museum of Post, Telecommunication and Communication).
