Amagertorv 1 is a Neoclassical property situated at the corner of Amagertorv and Højbro Plads, opposite Højbrohus, in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. Constructed in 1797 as part of the rebuilding of the city following the Copenhagen Fire of 1795, it owes its current appearance to a renovation undertaken by Christian Tybjerg in 1854. The building was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1989. Café Europa, a café started by fashion designer Jørgen Nørgaard in 1989, is located in the building. Notable former residents include photographer Emil Stæhr, landowner and district governor Nicolai Emanuel de Thygeson and composer and music publisher Andreas Peter Berggreen.

Købmagergade 5 is a 17th-century property situated on the shopping street Købmagergade, close to Amagertorv and Strøget, in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Constructed as part of the rebuilding of the city following the Copenhagen Fire of 1728 it was later heightened with one storey. The building was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1971. Petitgas Eftf., for many years Denmark's oldest hats store, occupied the ground floor from 1857 until 2020.

The Stork Fountain is located on Amagertorv in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It was a present to Crown Prince Frederik (later Frederik VIII) and Crown Princess Louise in connection with their silver wedding anniversary in 1894. It depicts three storks about to set off. Since 1950, it has been a tradition that newly graduated midwives dance around the fountain.

Læderstræde 5 is a Neoclassical property situated on Strædet, close to Højbro Plads, in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. A private synagogue was from 1800 to 1836 and again from 1845 to 1986 based on the first floor of the building. The second synagogue was opened by Moses Levy and was for many years the only alternative to the Great Synagogue in Krystalgade. In his will, Levy converted the building into a foundation under the name Moses Levt's Stiftelse og Synagoge. The building was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1945. The publishing house Tiderne Skifter is now based on the first floor.

Amagertorv 11/Læderstræde 11 is a Neoclassical property situated on the shopping street Strøget in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Constructed in 1798–1802 as part of the rebuilding of the city following the Copenhagen Fire of 1795, it owes its current appearance to two renovation undertaken in 1884 and 1903. The property was from around 1810 to 1845 owned by Gerson Melchior, owner of Moses & Søn G. Melchior. His sons Moses Melchior and Moritz G. Melchior, who would eventually continue the family firm, and Israel B. Melchior, an engineer and photographer, grew up in the building. In 1856, Melchior's heirs sold the property to wholesaler Sabinus Seidelin, whose trading firm S. Seidelin was subsequently operated from the rear wing. In 1903, S. Seidelin relocated to a new head office at Skindergade 7.

Højbro Plads 6 is a listed property located on Højbro Plads in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1918.

Højbrohus is an Art Nouveau-style building situated on the east side of Amagertorv, between Østergade and Store Kirkestræde, in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. It houses Café Norden on the two lower floors and a Hay flagship store on the second floor.

Købmagergade 13 is an 18th-century townhouse situated on the shopping street Købmagergade, between Amagertorv and Valkendorfsgade, in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1974. The complex consists of a four-storey building towards the street, two consecutive, half-timbered side wings along one side of a courtyard, a cross wing, separating the first and second courtyard from each other,, another half-timbered side wing along one side of the second courtyard, and two rear wings. Notable former residents include the businessmen Peter Pierre Tutein, Friederich Tutein and Peter van Gemmert, book printer Andreas Seidelin, educator Jens Ernst Wegener and architect Gottlieb Bindesbøll.

The Warburg House (Danish: Warburgs Gård) is a historic property located at the corner of Sag: Store Kirkestræde (No, 3) and Højbro Plads (No. 3) in the Old Town on Copenhagen, Denmark. The building was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1964. Toga Vinstue (Store Kirkestræde 3), a lunch restaurant and bar, is known as a popular meetingplace for politicians journalists and other people with an interest in politics.

Museum Erotica was a sex museum in Copenhagen, Denmark, located just off of Strøget, Copenhagen's main shopping street. The museum was founded by director/photographer Ole Ege and business manager Kim Clausen. It originally opened in 1992 at Vesterbrogade 31 in Copenhagen. On May 14, 1994, it reopened at Købmagergade 24, where it remained until it closed in March 2009, following the sudden, unexpected death of Kim Clausen in 2008, and then the financial recession. The museum claimed to have had one million visitors [1]. The museum often described itself as having "illustrated some of the sex life of Homo sapiens" [2], which reflects its very historic and holistic approach to its exhibitions. The walk through the museum took a visitor through many exhibits in roughly chronological order. A good deal of written commentary in English and Danish explained and augmented many of the items on display.There were extensive exhibitions on the beginning of erotic photography, a room with Playboy-centerfolds and other American pinups, and a special exhibition on Marilyn Monroe, among other things. One of the final displays in Museum Erotica was a small room with a sofa opposite a large wall of small television screens each showing a different porno video. The selections reflected the eclectic nature of the museum's displays.

Højbro Plads (literally "High Bridge Square") is a rectangular public square located between the adjoining Amagertorv and Slotsholmen Canal in the City Centre of Copenhagen, Denmark. It takes its name from the Højbro Bridge which connects it to the Slotsholmen island on the other side of the canal while Gammel Strand extends along the near side of the canal. The most striking feature of the square is an equestrian statue of Absalon, the warrior-bishop who has traditionally been credited as the founder of Copenhagen. It was inaugurated in 1901 to commemorate the septcentennial of his death.
