75 Federal Street

101 Federal Street is a skyscraper on Federal Street in the Financial District neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Completed in 1988, the 116 meter (381 ft) building was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC. The building is also known as 75–101 Federal Street These buildings contain 800,000 sq ft (74,000 m2) of office space.

The Odeon (1835 – c. 1846) of Boston, Massachusetts, was a lecture and concert hall on Federal Street in the building also known as the Boston Theatre. The 1,300-seat auditorium measured "50 feet square" with "red moreen"-upholstered "seats arranged in a circular order, and above them ... spacious galleries." The Boston Academy of Music occupied the Odeon in the 1830s and 1840s Notable events at the Odeon included "the first performance in Boston of a Beethoven symphony."

The Federal Street Theatre (1793–1852), also known as the Boston Theatre, was located at the corner of Federal and Franklin streets in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. It was "the first building erected purposely for theatrical entertainments in the town of Boston."

100 Federal Street, formerly known as the First National Bank Building and nicknamed the Pregnant Building, is a skyscraper located in the Financial District of Boston, Massachusetts. The skyscraper, rising 591 feet (180 m) and 37 floors, is Boston's 9th-tallest building. The building was completed in 1971, and formerly served as the world headquarters of Bank of Boston/BankBoston. When Fleet Financial Group of Providence, Rhode Island merged with BankBoston to form FleetBoston Financial, it became the merged company's headquarters until Bank of America acquired it in 2004. The building is now the center of Bank of America's New England operations. The building was purchased by Boston Properties, Inc. in March 2012 for $615 million (USD). As part of the sale, Bank of America will continue to occupy office space in the building with a long-term lease. The name of the building was also officially changed to its street address, 100 Federal Street.

The Federal Street Church (established 1729) was a congregational Unitarian church in Boston, Massachusetts. Organized in 1727, the originally Presbyterian congregation changed in 1786 to "Congregationalism", then adopted the liberal theology of its fifth Senior Minister, William Ellery Channing, (1780–1842). For most of the 18th century the church was known as the Long Lane Meeting-House. In 1788, state leaders met in the relatively spacious building to determine Massachusetts' ratification of the United States Constitution. Thereafter the church renamed itself the Federal Street Church in honor of the event. In 1803, it called William Ellery Channing, (1780–1842), as its minister who defined "Unitarian Christianity" and launched the Unitarian movement, making the Federal Street Church one of the first to define itself as Unitarian.

Franklin Street (established c. 1798) is located in the Financial District of Boston, Massachusetts. It was developed at the end of the 18th century by Charles Bulfinch, and included the now-demolished Tontine Crescent and Franklin Place.

Winthrop Center, is an under construction skyscraper in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. When completed, Winthrop Center would stand as the fourth-tallest building in Boston, Massachusetts. The tower is being built on the site of the defunct Winthrop Square Garage in the Financial District.

The Church of the Holy Cross (1803-ca.1862) was located on Franklin Street in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1808 the church became the Cathedral of the Holy Cross. It was designed by Charles Bulfinch and was the first church built for the city's Roman Catholics. The last Mass was celebrated there on September 16, 1860. Demolition took place around 1862. The cathedral was replaced by a new Cathedral of the Holy Cross located in the South End.

Trans National Place, also known as 115 Winthrop Square, was a proposed supertall skyscraper in Boston, Massachusetts, US. Original designs were completed by architect Renzo Piano (with Boston firm Childs Bertman Tseckares Inc.) who later left the project in March 2007. Trans National Place was intended to stand as the tallest building in Boston, Massachusetts, and New England, surpassing the 60-story John Hancock Tower by 15 stories and at least 210 feet (64 meters) to become the tallest building in the city. The developer was local businessman Steve Belkin, who also owns an adjoining mid-rise building, which would have been torn down as part of the project. The tower was cancelled in 2008 amid a declining commercial real estate market and after the Federal Aviation Administration objected to the building's proposed height, deeming the structure a possible flight obstruction to the air traffic of nearby Logan International Airport. The project was superseded by the Winthrop Center, a proposed skyscraper for which a design was selected in 2016.

Winthrop Square is a public square in Boston, Massachusetts. It is located in the city's financial district, in a small plot between Otis Street to the west and Devonshire Street to the east. It is three blocks south of the Old State House and two blocks west of Post Office Square.

The Boston Stock Exchange (now NASDAQ BX, formerly BSE) is a regional stock exchange located in Boston, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1834, making it the third-oldest stock exchange in the United States. On October 2, 2007, NASDAQ agreed to acquire BSE for $61 million.
