Central Park is a major mixed-use urban renewal project in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia located on Broadway in the suburb of Chippendale. The development is focused on a new public park located just off Broadway of approximately 6,500 square metres (70,000 sq ft) in size. For many decades the southern side of Broadway was dominated by a brewery, which closed in the 2000s and the site was put up for sale. Frasers Property purchased the site from the Foster's Group on 29 June 2007. On a difficult site, the design fitted the towers around the streets, created new public spaces and connections to the city, added 30,000 specially selected plants, included art work, and incorporated pedestrian as well as vehicular access.The project includes the award-winning high-rise building One Central Park, an apartment complex known for its hanging vertical gardens.

One Central Park is a mixed-use dual high-rise building located in the Sydney suburb of Chippendale in New South Wales, Australia. Developed as a joint venture between Frasers Property and Sekisui House, it was constructed by BESIX Group subsidiary Watpac as the first stage of the Central Park urban renewal project.The building itself comprises two residential apartment towers, an east and west tower, in addition to a six level retail shopping centre at the base of the towers. In 2013, One Central Park was awarded a 5 star Green Star – ‘Multi-Unit Residential Design v1’ Certified Rating by the Green Building Council of Australia, making it the largest multi-residential building (by net lettable area) in Australia to receive such a designation.

Halo is a wind powered kinetic sculpture in Sydney, Australia. Located at Central Park, the artwork is part of a major mixed-use urban renewal project to redevelop the old Kent Brewery site in Broadway.It was designed by artists Jennifer Turpin and Michaelie Crawford of Turpin + Crawford Studio while engineering firm, Partridge, was responsible for the delivery. The sculpture consists of a 12-metre diameter tapered yellow ring held by a 6-metre-long (20 ft) silver cantilevered arm pivoting off-centre atop a 13-metre-high (43 ft) angled silver mast. The arm also serves as a sail, allowing the ring to turn and tilts in response to live winds.Commissioned by the developers of Central Park in collaboration with the local government, Halo was officially opened on 14 August 2012 and has since been donated to the City of Sydney as part of its City Art Collection.

Chippendale is a small inner-city suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on the southern edge of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Sydney. Chippendale is located between Broadway to the north and Cleveland Street to the south, Sydney Central railway station to the east and the University of Sydney to the west.

UTS Central, also known as Building 2, is the building housing the Faculty of Law and UTS Library at the University of Technology Sydney. It is the final building to be opened under the A$1 billion City Campus Master Plan. The building is designed by Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp (FJMT), with elements of an original podium design by Lacoste+Stevenson in association with DJRD. Construction was overseen by head contractor Richard Crookes Constructions. The building is located next to the UTS Tower in Ultimo. It opened in August 2019.

Balfour Street Park is a public pocket park located in an inner-city suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The park is located in the suburb of Chippendale, at the corner of Balfour Street and O’Connor Street. Balfour Street Park acts as a pedestrian gateway to Central Park and was designed by the City of Sydney in collaboration with JILA, and constructed by Design Landscape for Frasers Property. It won the Horbury Hunt Brick Award for Urban Design and Landscape Architecture in 2010.

St Barnabas Anglican Church, Broadway, is an Anglican church in the Diocese of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The church property is located on Broadway, near the University of Sydney and University of Technology, Sydney.Commonly called "Barneys", the church is well known in Sydney for its church signs, including a celebrated "battle" with the publican across the road. The church would put up one sign and the hotel would have another with a witty reply to the church's sign. Some of the signs attracted the attention of the Sydney media. Arthur Stace, the "Eternity" man, was a member of the church.

UTS Building 1, also known as the UTS Tower, is prominent landmark on Broadway at the southern gateway to Sydney's central business district. Many of the administrative units of the University of Technology, Sydney are located across the building's 27 occupied floors. Completed in 1979 in the brutalist architectural style from a 1968 plan by Michael Dysart of the NSW Government Architect's Office, the Tower was officially opened by NSW Premier Neville Wran.

The Afghan Files are a set of Australian Defence Force documents about the operation of Australia's special forces in Afghanistan. The documents were leaked to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) by David McBride, upon which seven stories were published. The documents covered a wide range of topics, however most notably it detailed multiple cases of possible unlawful killings of unarmed men and children. In response to the leak, the Australian Federal Police raided the ABC's offices in June 2019, confiscating all material related to the matter.
