Weston Park Hospital is a health facility specialising in the treatment of cancer in Broomhill, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is managed by the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The York and Lancaster Regiment War Memorial (or York and Lancaster Memorial) is a war memorial to members of the York and Lancaster Regiment, in Weston Park, Sheffield, England. It was erected in the park in 1923 to commemorate the 8,814 members of the regiment who died in the First World War. The original inscription (all in upper case) reads: An inscription commemorating the victims of the Second World War was added after that conflict ended: The monument consists of a winged female figure, variously described as Liberty or Victory, mounted on a granite ashlar obelisk with a stone stepped-base, with two attendant bronze figures of a helmeted officer with a drawn pistol, and a private with a Lee-Enfield rifle. The memorial cost £12,000, which was raised by a 'York and Lancaster Memorial Committee', through public subscription.Sheffield Technical School of Art were invited to design the memorial. The female figure is by a lecturer, Francis Jahn, while the statues of soldiers, inscribed "E J Parlanti founder, London", are by two students, Roy Smith (the officer) and G N Morewood. Other students acted as models. Smith also provided the stone carving at the base of the reverse of the monument, as well as the overall design, which was previously and erroneously attributed to Charles Sargeant Jagger, who had also taught at Sheffield.The memorial was unveiled by Field Marshall Herbert Plumer on 7 July 1923.It was Grade II listed in June 1973, giving it legal protection from unauthorised alteration or demolition.The memorial should not be confused with the York and Lancaster Regiment Boer War memorial, which stands adjacent.

The West End is a loosely defined area of Sheffield, consisting of part of the City Centre, in addition to some of the western suburbs. The term has been in use for at least 150 years.

The University of Sheffield (informally Sheffield University or TUOS) is a public research university in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Its history traces back to the foundation of Sheffield Medical School in 1828, Firth College in 1879 and Sheffield Technical School in 1884. University College of Sheffield was subsequently formed by the amalgamation of the three institutions in 1897 and was granted a royal charter as University of Sheffield in 1905 by King Edward VII. Sheffield is formed from 50 academic departments which are organised into five faculties and an international faculty. The annual income of the institution for 2021–22 was £817 million, of which £204.8 million was from research grants and contracts, with an expenditure of £889.5 million. According to the latest Research Excellence Framework 2021, Sheffield is ranked 11th in the UK for research power calculated by multiplying the institution's GPA by the total number of full-time equivalent staff submitted.There are eight Nobel laureates affiliated with Sheffield and six of them are the alumni or former long-term staff of the university. They are contributors to the development of penicillin, the discovery of the citric acid cycle, the investigation of high-speed chemical reactions, the discovery of introns in eukaryotic DNA, the discovery of fullerene, and the development of molecular machines. Alumni also include several Heads of state, Home Secretaries, Court of Appeal judges, Booker Prize winners, astronaut and Olympic gold medallists.

Weston Park is a public park with an area of just over 5 hectares in the City of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It lies immediately west of the City Centre, alongside the Weston Park Museum. It is situated next to the University of Sheffield Library, Geography and Firth Court buildings, and across the road from Sheffield Children's Hospital. Along with Crookes Valley Park and The Ponderosa it is one of the three Crookesmoor parks.

The Drama Studio is an intimate 177 seat theatre venue owned by the University of Sheffield and operated by the University’s Performance Venues department. Opened in 1970, it is housed in the former Glossop Road Baptist Church and retains many of the original architectural features. The studio also offers 3 individual rehearsal spaces that are available to hire. The Drama Studio offers an adaptable playing space that can be configured in many different ways. The standard main stage area is 8mx7m, with options to add more seating or staging as required. The studio is also equipped with a full professional lighting and sound system.The studio is used throughout the year by University affiliated theatre groups, local amateur dramatics societies and professional touring artists & musicians. The bi-annual Enable US festival is also resident in the Drama Studio. Enable US is a project within the University’s Performance Venues for creative expression, exploration, development and debate, which aims to provide new and innovative performing arts companies a platform to perform in Sheffield.

Firth Court is a Grade II listed Edwardian red-brick building that forms part of the Western Bank Campus of the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. Located on the northern side of Western Bank, it is the main administrative centre for the university and also houses the Departments of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and Biomedical Science. The main entrance to Firth Court is on floor C, from this point up there are four complete floors (up to F floor which houses the first of the Molecular Biology and Biotechnology lecture theatres (F2) and research labs) and then G floor which is divided into several sections (housing the second lecture theatre (G2) and seminar rooms). This gives the five floors sometimes quoted, however the department's nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) facility extends downwards from floor C and is housed on B (which is ground level at the back of the building), A and a further floor below this which has no official designation. In places the building extends above G floor, these towers do not have official floor letters but extend to what would be I floor. Counted from the bottom of the NMR pit to the highest research laboratory (that of Milton Wainwright) Firth court is 10 floors. The Main Block of Firth Court is linked, via the Addison Building, to the Alfred Denny Building. The Edwardian Block also links the North Block to the Perak Laboratories.

The Fuzz Club was an indie rock night hosted by University of Sheffield Union of Students, which ran from 1999 to 2009. It claimed to be the biggest students union rock night in the UK outside London. The night ran weekly on Thursdays throughout term time and hosts new bands; sometimes local, sometimes national. The club provided a variety of music from heavy rock in the Bleach room to indie in the main fuzz room. The night was created by Penny Blackham, who is currently Chair of the South Yorkshire Music Board.Fuzz Club was part of the circuit for new bands trying to make a name for themselves. In recent years, it had hosted Keane, The Long Blondes, Editors, The Zutons, The Killers, Bloc Party, The xx, La Roux, Future of the Left, British Sea Power, 65daysofstatic, Ida Maria, Hot Chip, Florence and the Machine and The Others.In the mid-2000s, the club also hosted one day festivals, called Fuzztival with acts like Metronomy, Ebony Bones, Hot Chip and Toddla T on the line-up.The club night ran since 1999 and initially alternated with Bleach, a heavier rock night, which instead became resident in the Fuzz Club's second room - essentially part of Fuzz Club. At the end of the academic year 2008/09, the last night of the Fuzz Club was held on 11 June 2009. The night has now been replaced with Live Wire, opening 23 September 2010.

Weston Park Museum is a museum in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is one mile west of Sheffield city centre within Weston Park. It is Sheffield's largest museum and is housed in a Grade II* listed building and managed by Museums Sheffield. Until 2006 it was called Sheffield City Museum and Mappin Art Gallery.

University House is a large 6 floor building in the centre of the University of Sheffield's campus.

Forge FM was a youth-led community radio station and educational charity in Sheffield in the 1990s. Run by volunteers, the station brought together a wide range of specialist music shows and speech-based programming with the aim of involving all members of the community, the first of its kind in the city.

Sheffield Students' Union, officially known as the University of Sheffield Students' Union, is the representative body of students at the University of Sheffield. It is run by a team of thirteen elected officers (7 full-time officers and 6 part-time officers).
