Bierstadt is a borough of the city of Wiesbaden, capital of the state of Hesse, Germany. It is located in the eastern part of the city, directly east of downtown Wiesbaden, and has about 12,300 inhabitants. Formerly an independent municipality, the settlement was incorporated into Wiesbaden on April 1, 1928. While Bierstadt can be translated "Beer Town," the name is actually derived from Brigid of Kildare (German: Brigida von Kildare), patron saint of Bierstadt (Birgidstadt).

The Wiesbaden Bismarck Tower was one of approximately 240 monuments built in honour of Otto von Bismarck between 1869 and 1934. Wiesbaden's Bismarck Tower was the tallest Bismarck memorial with a height of 50 metres (160 ft). The wooden tower was built in 1910 close to the former watch tower on the Height of Bierstadt. It was planned only as interim solution to be later replaced by a solid structure with a lift. However, this project did not materialise due to lack of funding. In 1916 the tower, nicknamed the "Eiffel Tower of Wiesbaden", was closed to visitors and used as military observation post. In 1918 it was demolished due to its poor state of repair.

Wiesbaden High School (formerly General H. H. Arnold High School) is an American high school located in Wiesbaden, Germany, and is a part of the Department of Defense Dependents Schools, the 9th largest United States School System. Although located in Germany, the school follows a traditional U.S. curriculum and traditional U.S. school activities.

Kloppenheim is a borough of Wiesbaden, capital of the federal state of Hesse, Germany. Kloppenheim was incorporated into Wiesbaden in 1928. The adjacent boroughs are (clockwise, starting in the north) Naurod, Auringen, Medenbach, Igstadt, Bierstadt, and Heßloch.

Sonnenberg is a borough of Wiesbaden, the capital of the state of Hesse, Germany. Formerly an independent municipality, Sonnenberg was incorporated into Wiesbaden on 28 October 1926. The borough has approximately 8,000 residents. Sonnenberg is located in the northeast of the city. Its historic center is located in the foothills of the Taunus in the narrow valley of Rambach. Burg Sonnenberg (Sonnenberg Castle) is situated on a mountain spur above the town. While the castle is now in ruins, the castle tower and parts of the fortifications and the city walls are preserved to a large extent.

Hessloch is a borough of Wiesbaden, the capital of the state of Hessen, Germany. It is the smallest and least-populated of Wiesbaden's boroughs with 663 residents. The formerly independent village was incorporated into Wiesbaden on 1 April 1928. The village is situated in the foothills of the Taunus and surrounded by orchards. It is near Federal Highway 455, about 5 km from Autobahn 3. Adjacent boroughs are Bierstadt, Rambach, Naurod, and Kloppenheim.

The Helene-Lange-School is a comprehensive school in Wiesbaden, Germany. The school received much media coverage for its pedagogic methods. While proponents of comprehensive schools believe it is one of Germany's best schools, opponents believe it is just a run-of-the-mill-school that serves privileged children who would do just as well attending any other kind of school.

Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen (German: [ˈmanfreːt fɔn ˈʁɪçthoːfn̩]; 2 May 1892 – 21 April 1918), known in English as Baron von Richthofen or the Red Baron, was a fighter pilot with the German Air Force during World War I. He is considered the ace-of-aces of the war, being officially credited with 80 air combat victories. Originally a cavalryman, Richthofen transferred to the Air Service in 1915, becoming one of the first members of fighter squadron Jagdstaffel 2 in 1916. He quickly distinguished himself as a fighter pilot, and during 1917 became the leader of Jasta 11. Later he led the larger fighter wing Jagdgeschwader I, better known as "The Flying Circus" or "Richthofen's Circus" because of the bright colours of its aircraft, and perhaps also because of the way the unit was transferred from one area of Allied air activity to another – moving like a travelling circus, and frequently setting up in tents on improvised airfields. By 1918, Richthofen was regarded as a national hero in Germany, and respected by his enemies. Richthofen was shot down and killed near Vaux-sur-Somme on 21 April 1918. There has been considerable discussion and debate regarding aspects of his career, especially the circumstances of his death. He remains one of the most widely known fighter pilots of all time, and has been the subject of many books, films, and other media.

Lothar Siegfried Freiherr von Richthofen (27 September 1894 – 4 July 1922) was a German First World War fighter ace credited with 40 victories. He was a younger brother of top-scoring ace Manfred von Richthofen (the Red Baron) and a distant cousin of Luftwaffe Field Marshal Wolfram von Richthofen. Following the war, he worked for a while on a farm before taking an industrial position. He married in June 1919 and had two children. Yearning for aviation he accepted a position as a pilot, conveying passengers and postal mail between Berlin and Hamburg. He died aged 27 on 4 July 1922 in a flying accident at Fuhlsbüttel.

BRITA-Arena is a football stadium in Wiesbaden, Germany. It is the home ground of 3. Liga side SV Wehen Wiesbaden. The stadium is named after its former main sponsor Brita, a German company specialised in producing water filters, and replaced the Stadion am Halberg in Taunusstein as SV Wehen's home ground. The stadium has a total capacity of 13,500 seats. BRITA-Arena opened in 2007 with a friendly match which SV Wehen lost 2–1 to Borussia Dortmund. The first competitive match in the stadium was played on 21 October 2007 between SV Wehen and 1. FSV Mainz 05, with Mainz celebrating a 3–1 victory. West stand reconstruction After the home game of SV Wehen Wiesbaden against 1860 Munich on 9 March 2019, the West stand of the stadium was closed in order to enable reconstruction to start. Prior to this, tubular steel construction stand was a temporary structure while the new structure will be permanent.Due to the temporary nature, the limited capacity of the stadium, and other requirements regarding TV camera positions, SV Wehen will require a special permit if they are promoted to the 2. Budesliga. Therefore, the rebuilding of a permanent west stand structure was planned and started and the new stand is due to be completed and open by the end of 2020. In February 2018 an agreement was reached between the Stadion Berliner Strasse GmbH & Co. KG (SBS) and the city of Wiesbaden on a new licence. As a result, SV Wehen Wiesbaden will play its games in the Brita Arena until 2047. The new west stand, which will be built from concrete, will cost between eight and nine million euros, with the state of Hesse contributing 3.5 million euros.Until the building has been completed there is only room for 9,100 spectators.

The Helmut-Schön-Sportpark is an American Football stadium for the Wiesbaden Phantoms American football team in Wiesbaden, Germany. It was built in 1907. Capacity of the venue is 11,498 people. It was used as a venue for the 2003 IFAF World Cup. Before 2009, it was called Stadion an der Berliner Straße. Further the association football team SV Wiesbaden 1899 also play at this stadium.

The Kurpark, German for "Spa Park", is a public park in the centre of Wiesbaden, Germany, stretching from the Wilhelmstraße to the southern borders of the district of Sonneberg and lying immediately behind the Kurhaus convention center. It was created in 1852 as an English landscape park and includes a lake where boats can be rented, and a 6 metres (20 ft) tall fountain. It has been described as the most beautiful park in Wiesbaden.
