79 Mount Street is a Grade II listed house in Mount Street, Mayfair, London W1. The house was built in 1892–1894 by Eustace Balfour and Hugh Thackeray Turner of Balfour and Turner, in "Free Style Queen Anne", or in an Arts and Crafts style. It was Grade II listed in 1987.In the 1930s, it was home to John Powys, 5th Baron Lilford.In 2008, it was refurbished by the Meller family, who used the upper floors as a home and the basement to second floors as offices, with a swimming pool built in the basement. In May 2015, British businessman David Meller sold the 10,000 sq ft six-storey house to the Qatari royal family for £40 million, as part of a growing "Qatari quarter" centred on Dudley House in nearby Park Lane.

The main embassy building is located at Cockspur Street. It was built in 1896–97 to a design by Fairfax Blomfield Wade-Palmer for Lord Windsor, later the Earl of Plymouth. Historic England describe it as using "Arts and Crafts quality of materials and detailing combined with innovatory Free "renaissance" and hints of Grand Siècle classicism, with sumptuous formal interiors."

The house's first owner was George Coventry, 9th Earl of Coventry. Balfour Place was originally known as Portugal Street (honouring the Portuguese wife of King Charles II), until the Grosvenor family renamed it after their chief surveyor.

Aldford House was a grand mansion built on London's Park Lane in 1894–97 for the diamond magnate, Alfred Beit. The architects were the Scottish partnership of Eustace Balfour and Hugh Thackeray Turner. Its style was somewhat Jacobean but it was not well-received and was demolished in 1929. A block of flats with the same name was then constructed on the site by the architectural partnership of George Val Myer and F. J. Watson-Hart, advised by Edwin Lutyens.
