Chandler is an outer south-eastern suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, Chandler had a population of 1,442 people.

The Leslie Harrison Dam is an earth-fill embankment dam across the Tingalpa Creek that is located in the South East region of Queensland, Australia. The main purpose of the dam is for potable water supply of the Redland City in Brisbane. The impounded reservoir is called Tingalpa Reservoir. The dam was named after Robert Leslie Harrison, a Queensland parliamentarian who died in April 1966.

The Capalaba Bus Station, at Capalaba, Queensland, is serviced by TransLink bus routes. It is part of the Capalaba Shopping Precinct and is the primary interchange for TransLink's Eastern Region. It is in Zone 2 of the TransLink integrated public transport system. The Interchange is laid out in square island with platforms (A-D) on each side surrounding landscaping work, community art pieces, shelters and an amenities block. Each platform can accommodate two buses and on the opposite side of Platforms A and B is parking for up to six buses. A fifth platform (E) is located on the opposite side of Redland Bay Road and it services morning express routes and some school services.

Capalaba Library is one of three mainland branch libraries of the Redland City Council, Queensland, along with those at Cleveland and Victoria Point; there are other branches on the Redland City Council’s islands.

US Army Radio Receiving Station, Capalaba is a heritage-listed former radio receiving station at 362-388 Old Cleveland Road East, in Capalaba (now within Birkdale), City of Redland, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1942 to 1943. It is also known as the Capalaba receiving station. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 26 June 2020.

Capalaba State College is a P-12 state school. The College consists of both Junior (Prep-Year 6) and Senior (Year 7 - Year 12) campuses. It is situated in the Redlands. Originally made up of separate Primary and Secondary Schools, they both amalgamated in 2005, and formed Capalaba State College.

The 2010 Australian Short Course Swimming Championships were held at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre from Wednesday 14 July to Sunday 18 July. They were organised by Swimming Australia and sponsored by Telstra. The events were spread over five days of competition featuring heats in the morning, with semifinals and finals in the evening session. The format of the meet consisted of heats for all individual events with semifinals in the 50 and 100 m individual events. The 200 and 400 m events consisted of A and B finals with no semifinals whilst the 800 and 1500 m freestyle and relay events consisted of timed finals only.

Thorneside railway station is located on the Cleveland line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the suburb of Thorneside in Redland City.

The second edition of the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, a long course (50 m) event, was held in 1987 at the Chandler Aquatic Centre in Brisbane, Australia, from August 13–16.

The Sleeman Centre (also known as Sleeman Sports Complex) is a sporting and entertainment facility located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Construction of the Centre was completed in 1982. Located on Old Cleveland Road in the suburb of Chandler, the Centre is 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) east of Brisbane's CBD and is home to an aquatic Centre, velodrome, sports arena, gymnastics training hall, gymnasium, and auditorium. The centre currently offers a range of services to the public, including indoor and outdoor community activities such as swimming, diving, health and fitness classes, a gymnasium, childcare facilities, and a children's pool and water slide.
