River Lights

Stephenson Underwear Mill is a historic textile mill located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1916, and is a three-story, rectangular, nine-bay reinforced concrete building with brick curtain walls. It features a parapet with concrete coping and concrete panels on each side of the front panels. The building was rehabilitated for use as apartments in the early-1990s.: 5, 12 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Century Center Convention Center, designed by architects Philip Johnson and John Burgee, broke construction in 1974 and opened in 1977, has been managed by SMG since July, 2013. The center, built on the banks of the West Race canal, overlooks the St. Joseph River in downtown South Bend, Indiana, United States. It features over 75,000 sq ft (7,000 m2). of convention space and is home to Island Park, an 11-acre (45,000 m2) riverfront park attached to the convention center via a cross walk over the West Race canal. Century Center includes a 25,000 sq ft (2,300 m2) Convention Hall that can be split into two smaller halls. This level also offers a 12,000 sq ft (1,100 m2) Discovery Ballroom that can be separated into two equal halls. Century Center Convention Center's 16,000 sq ft (1,500 m2) Great Hall is includes a 30 ft (9.1 m) glass wall which overlooks the St. Joseph River. Eighteen meeting rooms, with over 35 combinations, complement the overall space. A pre-function area is located on the lower level adjacent to the Great Hall. A two-story high glass wall encompasses the Great Hall, with a view of the St. Joseph River. The Century Center Convention Center provides access via an enclosed, climate-controlled skywalk to a 300-room DoubleTree hotel. It houses the South Bend Museum of Art and is connected by a tunnel to the former College Football Hall of Fame.

I and M Electric Co. Building-Transformer House and Garage are three historic buildings located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. The garage was built in 1929, and is a three-story, rectangular brick building. It features decorative coping and belt courses and a parapet. the transformer house is a 1+1⁄2-story brick building with terra cotta coping constructed in 1929. The I and M Electric Co. Building was built in 1911, and is a four- to five-story, Classical Revival style brick and stone building. The buildings were built for the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company, which operated an electric plant on the site into the 1970s.: 5, 7 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

La Salle Street Bridge is a historic Spandrel Arch bridge located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1907, and is a three-span, reinforced concrete bridge that crosses the St. Joseph River. It measures 279 feet long and 51 feet wide.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

South Bend Community School Corporation (SBCSC), located in South Bend, Indiana, is St. Joseph County's oldest and largest school corporation, and the fifth largest in the state. They have 30 schools and seven support facilities in a geographical area covering 160 miles. It serves most of South Bend, Indian Village, Notre Dame, and Roseland, as well as portions of Granger and Mishawaka.

Downtown South Bend is the central business district of South Bend, Indiana. The boundaries downtown are generally considered to be the following: on the west bank of the St. Joseph River, north of Sample Street and east of Lafayette Boulevard. It features many local businesses as well as a hospital, hotels, museums, and office buildings.

Palais Royale Building, also known as the Lippman Building, is a historic commercial building located in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1922 along with the neighboring Palace Theater by the Palace Theater Corporation. It is a three-story, rectangular, Spanish Renaissance Revival-style brick building with finely crafted terra cotta ornamentation. It features a series of monumental semi-elliptical arched windows. The interior originally housed a two-story ballroom. A bombing on January 10, 1935, blew out most of the storefront windows and destroyed the corner suite.: 2–4 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

W. N. Bergan–J. C. Lauber Company Building is a historic manufacturing complex located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. The original Bergan Building was built in 1882, and is a two-story, Italianate style brick industrial building. It features an ornate cornice and frieze. Also on the property are two one-story contributing brick buildings. The buildings have housed the J. C. Lauber Sheet Metal Company, Inc. since 1900.: 5, 7  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The J.C. Lauber Company Building is a historic building on the east side of South Bend, Indiana. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. The company produced much of the sheet metal and roofing for buildings in early-20th-century South Bend.

All American Bank Building is a historic bank building located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1924, and is a four-story, Classical Revival style Indiana limestone building. It was designed by Chicago architects Vitzthum & Burns. The first floor has large round-arched openings, above which are Corinthian order pilasters that separate a continuous series of windows. The All American Bank occupied the building until 1970.: 60 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Dille-Probst House, also known as the Colonel Otto Probst House, is a historic home located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1888, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, "T"-plan, Queen Anne style frame dwelling with a brick veneer. It has a steeply pitched hipped roof and features a polygonal tower and Eastlake movement style front porch.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Charles McCormick Building is a historic commercial building located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1904, and is a two-story, rectangular, brick building on a concrete and stone foundation. It housed commercial enterprises on the first floor and apartments on the second.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
