Schiffenensee

Barberêche Castle is a castle in the former municipality of Barberêche (now part of Courtepin) in the Canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It is a Swiss Heritage Site of National Significance.It is located on the edge of the nearby plateau, above the Schiffenensee lakeshore.

Barberêche (German: Bärfischen; Arpitan: Barberèche, locally Barberêtse [baʁbəˈʁɛtsə] (listen)) is a former municipality in the district of Lac in the Swiss canton of Fribourg. It lies on the "language boundary" between the French- and German-speaking parts of Switzerland. On 1 January 2017 it merged with Villarepos and Wallenried into the extant municipality of Courtepin.

Petit-Vivy Castle is a castle in the former municipality of Barberêche (now part of Courtepin) in the Canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It is a Swiss Heritage Site of National Significance.It is located near the dike surrounding the Schiffenensee and northeast of Barberêche. It is among the oldest preserved castles in the region. The still-preserved, mighty, four-sided keep was built in the second half of the 13th century, and has 3.5 m (11 ft) thick walls. Around the keep are the remains of former surrounding walls, arranged in triangular form. The residential buildings were built in the 16th century.

Düdingen (German: [ˈdyːdɪŋən]; French: Guin [ɡɛ̃]; Arpitan: Duens, locally Dyin [ɟɛ̃] (listen)) is a municipality in the district of Sense in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It is one of the municipalities with a large majority of German speakers in the mostly French speaking Canton of Fribourg.

Grand-Vivy Castle is a castle in the former municipality of Barberêche (now part of Courtepin) in the Canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It is a Swiss Heritage Site of National Significance.The furthest to the north-east, of Barberêche's three castles, Grand-Vivy Castle is located on a narrow outcrop between the Schiffenensee and a small side stream. This was also the site of a mediaeval castle, but this was replaced by today's late-Gothic structure with its semicircular stairway tower, and other tower construction. The chapel next to the castle was built in the 17th century.

Düdingen railway station (German: Bahnhof Düdingen) is a railway station in the municipality of Düdingen, in the Swiss canton of Fribourg. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Lausanne–Bern line of Swiss Federal Railways.

The Grandfey-Viaduct is on the railway line from Bern to Fribourg and is one of the largest bridges in Switzerland.

Pensier railway station (French: Gare de Pensier) is a railway station in the municipality of Courtepin, in the Swiss canton of Fribourg. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Fribourg–Ins line of Transports publics Fribourgeois.

BCF Arena (formerly Patinoire Saint-Léonard) is an indoor sporting arena in Fribourg, Switzerland. Built in 1983 and then completely rebuilt from 2018 to 2020, the capacity of the arena is 8,934 spectators. It is the home arena of ice hockey team HC Fribourg-Gottéron of the National League. Major renovations began in the summer of 2018 to increase the arena's capacity from 6,500 to 8,934 and were completed two years later in the summer of 2020. The completely renovated arena features 6,434 seats and a standing capacity of 2,500. There are also 6 restaurants and 12 concessions stands, 336 seats in various suites and 76 Dine & View seats.

Stade Universitaire Saint-Léonard is a stadium in Fribourg, Switzerland, located next to Patinoire Saint-Léonard. It is currently used for football matches and is the home ground of FC Fribourg. The capacity is 9,000, consisting of 1000 seats and 8,000 standing places.

Fribourg/Freiburg Poya railway station (French: Gare de Fribourg Poya, German: Bahnhof Freiburg Poya) is a railway station in the municipality of Fribourg, in the Swiss canton of Fribourg. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Lausanne–Bern line of Swiss Federal Railways. The station opened at the end of 2014 and is adjacent to BCF Arena, home of the HC Fribourg-Gottéron professional ice hockey team.

Courtaman is a village and former municipality in the district of See in the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. It was first recorded in 1309 as Cortemant. The municipality is bilingual, with 55% French and 44% German speakers in 2000. The municipality had 66 inhabitants in 1811, which increased to 129 in 1850, 156 in 1900 and 252 in 1930. It then declined somewhat to 221 in 1950, before skyrocketing to 1054 in 2000. In 2005 the municipality was incorporated into the larger, neighboring municipality Courtepin.
