Rush Green is a suburban area in Romford in East London, England. It straddles the boundary of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and the London Borough of Havering, and is located 13.5 miles (22 km) east-northeast of Charing Cross.

Romford Greyhound Stadium, referred to as Coral Romford Greyhound Stadium is a greyhound racing track located in Romford town centre in the London Borough of Havering in east London which is owned and operated by the Ladbrokes Coral group. The stadium has a capacity for over 1,700 people. The stadium has won several awards including the British Greyhound Racing Board's 'Racecourse of the Year' award in 1998 and again in 2003. Following the closure of Wimbledon Stadium in March 2017, it is one of only two stadiums left in London or Greater London, the other being Crayford Stadium.

Queen's Hospital is a large teaching hospital in Romford in the London Borough of Havering. It was built on the site of the former Oldchurch Park, a short distance south of the town centre. It is run by Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Crowlands railway station was a proposed station on the Great Eastern Main Line near Romford, London, to be sited between Chadwell Heath and Romford, just west of Jutsums Lane where the railway passes over the road on a narrow bridge. It was first proposed in 1900 by the Great Eastern Railway and platform foundations were laid, but construction was never completed. The London and North Eastern Railway, which inherited the route after the 1923 grouping of railway companies, resurrected the plans for Crowlands station in 1935 as part of their electrification plans, but nothing came about and the plans were ultimately shelved after the Second World War. Thus, today there is a relatively significant distance of 2 miles 31 chains (3.8 km) on the line between Chadwell Heath and Romford stations. The platform foundations at Crowlands are still in existence in the undergrowth, although they are not visible from street level as the railway is on an embankment. Railway infrastructure in the area that was completed included a signal box just west of the station site, which closed in 1949 as part of the Shenfield electrification project, as well an overhead electrification depot, to the east of Jutsums Lane.

Romford Ice Arena was an ice rink located in Romford in the London Borough of Havering, England. The venue was built in the 1980s and at the time of opening in 1987 was equipped with a full range of facilities, including a cafe and arcade games. The venue closed in April 2013. It has now been replaced by the Sapphire Ice and Leisure Centre, which opened in 2018 on a nearby site and was named in honour of Queen Elizabeth II's Sapphire Jubilee (65 years as monarch).

The Star Brewery was a brewery in Romford, England. For much of its history, it was a main industry and a significant employer in the area. It was closed in 1993.The site was redeveloped as a shopping centre named The Brewery, which opened in 2001. The brewery produced John Bull Bitter, named after the archetypal English farmer.

At the time of the sale, its location in east London, mix of retail and leisure uses, and the Sainsbury's anchor store were explained as factors for its sustained success during the late-2000s recession.Leisure uses in the centre include a bowling and amusement arcade unit, a cinema, and a number of restaurants. The Brewery is located within Romford's town centre and is near to Romford railway station. A number of London Buses serve the centre and route 165 terminates within The Brewery car park.

Havering Museum is a local museum located in the town of Romford, in the London Borough of Havering. It is primarily focused on the studies and artifacts from the five towns that encompass the borough of Havering. Located in what remains of the old Ind Coope Romford Brewery, it is one of the last reminders of Romford's brewing history. Completely volunteer run, the museum is self-funded through various Events, Groups and Sponsors. Relating to the history of the London Borough of Havering, providing a home for exhibits of Havering's past defining what makes Havering Havering, celebrating the achievements of local people past and present.

Romford is a large town in East London and the administrative centre of the London Borough of Havering. Historically, Romford was a market town in the county of Essex, and formed the administrative centre of the liberty of Havering before that liberty was dissolved in 1892. Good road links to London and the opening of the railway station in 1839 were key to the development of the town. The economic history of Romford is characterised by a shift from agriculture to light industry and then to retail and commerce. As part of the suburban growth of London throughout the 20th century, Romford significantly expanded and increased in population, becoming a municipal borough in 1937 and was incorporated into Greater London in 1965. Today, it is one of the largest commercial, retail, entertainment and leisure districts in London and has a well-developed night-time economy. Its population, as of 2011, was 122,854.
