Xinyi District or Sinyi District is the seat of the Taipei City Government and Taipei City Council. The district includes Taipei 101, Taipei International Convention Center, Taipei World Trade Center, National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and various shopping malls and entertainment venues, making it the most cosmopolitan district of Taipei. Xinyi District is also considered the financial district of Taipei. The district is a prime shopping area in Taipei, anchored by a number of department stores and malls. In addition, numerous high-end restaurants are located in the area.

The Kelti Group Headquarters (Chinese: 克緹國際大樓) is a 19-story, 91 metres (299 ft) office building designed by Taiwanese architect Kris Yao and completed in 2009 in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The building houses the corporate headquarters of Kelti Group as well as the Taipei Branch of the Bank of China.

FEDS Xinyi A13 (Chinese: 遠百信義A13) is a shopping mall located in the Xinyi Planning District of Taipei, Taiwan that started trial operation on 25 December 2019 and officially opened on 19 January 2020. With a total floor area of 78,217 m2 (841,920 sq ft), it has 14 floors above ground and 3 floors below ground. Main core stores include Vieshow Cinemas, Lego Store Taipei (the first Lego certified store in Taiwan) and Apple Store Xinyi A13 (the second Apple Store in Taiwan). The mall's revenue in 2020 is around NT$3.8 billion. This is the 11th store of the Far Eastern Department Stores company.

The Hua Nan Bank Headquarters, also known as Hua Nan Bank World Trade Building (Chinese: 華南銀行總行世貿大樓; pinyin: Huánán yínháng zǒngháng shìmào dàlóu), is a 154.5 m tall skyscraper built from 2011 to 2014 in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The building houses offices on 27 floors and 2 basement levels served by a total of 10 elevators, with a total floor area of 52,131.74 m2. The building has been LEED Gold certified for its consideration of environmental issues and is designed by the Taiwanese architect Kris Yao.

Xinyi Special District (Chinese: 信義計畫區), also known as Xinyi Planned Area, is located in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The total area of Xinyi Special District is 153 hectares. It was designed in the 1970s and developed from the 1980s onward. Xinyi Special District is the prime central business district of Taipei. Important infrastructure, such as Taipei 101, Taipei City Hall, Taipei International Convention Center and Taipei World Trade Center, is located within this area. Its historical development began in 1976, when the Taipei Municipal Government accepted the proposal to redevelop the area east of the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. The goal of this redevelopment was to set up a secondary commercial center away from the more crowded old city center (Taipei Station, Ximending area). The redevelopment hoped to increase the prosperity of the eastern district and the convenience of urban life for existing residents. The development framework was planned by the Japanese architect Guo Maolin, an architect with planning experience with the Nishi-Shinjuku, a previously planned development in Tokyo. The center's purpose was to expand business investment in the area and attract international financial services and technology firms. It also planned for residential development by building a completely new community. The Xinyi Project Area is the only commercial development area in Taipei with a wholly planned street and urban design. In addition to attracting corporations, it also features large retail spaces, department stores, and shopping malls. There are currently 15 department stores in Xinyi Special District, forming the Xinyi Commercial District. Department stores in the commercial district include Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi New Life Square (A4, A8, A9, and A11), Taipei 101 Mall, Vieshow Cinemas, ATT 4 FUN, Uni-President Hankyu Department Store, BELLAVITA, Eslite Bookstore, Breeze Xin Yi, Breeze Song Gao, Breeze Nan Shan, Neo19, and Far Eastern Xinyi A13. Taipei Sky Tower Mall is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed in 2022. With at least 5 department stores in a mere 50-hectare site, Xinyi Commercial District is said to be the world's densest commercial district.

Taipei Nan Shan Plaza (Chinese: 臺北南山廣場; pinyin: Táiběi Nánshān Guǎngchǎng) is a skyscraper in Xinyi Special District, Xinyi, Taipei, Taiwan. It is the second tallest building in Taipei (after Taipei 101) and the third tallest building in Taiwan (after Taipei 101 and 85 Sky Tower). As of 2019, it is the 146th-tallest building in Asia and 248th-tallest building in the world.

Le Méridien Taipei (Chinese: 台北寒舍艾美酒店) is a 21-storey, 99 m (325 ft) skyscraper hotel completed in 2010 in Xinyi Special District, Taipei, Taiwan. Managed by Le Méridien, the hotel is one of the top luxury hotels in Taipei.

Chinatrust Financial Building, or Chinatrust Group Tower (Chinese: 中國信託松壽大樓), was a 22-storey, 279 ft (85 m) office building completed in 1996 and located in Xinyi Special District, Taipei, Taiwan. The building had a total floor area of 62,492 m2 (672,660 sq ft) with two basement levels. The building served as the corporate headquarters of the Taiwanese bank CTBC Financial Holding, before it was demolished in 2016 to make way for Taipei Sky Tower. CTBC Financial Holding's new corporate headquarters was then subsequently relocated to CTBC Financial Park in Nangang District.

The Sky Taipei (Chinese: 台北天空塔) is a skyscraper under construction in Taipei, Taiwan. Upon completion, it will be the third-tallest building in Taiwan and the second-tallest in Xinyi Special District and Taipei, and will house two luxury hotels by Hyatt: Andaz Taipei and Park Hyatt Taipei. The height of the building will be 280 m (920 ft) with a floor area of 87,464.32 m2, comprising 56 floors above ground as well as 5 basement levels. The planned completion date is the end of 2023.

Neo19 is a shopping mall in Xinyi Special District, Taipei, Taiwan that opened on 27 October 2001. Main core stores of the shopping mall include shops, restaurants, nightclubs and a gym. The Nike store is located on the first floor, while the American chain restaurant Chili's is on the second floor along with VeryThai, Mo-Mo-Paradise and Mala-1 Hot Pot. Fitness Factory is located on the fourth floor. Ikon, Huckleberry, and Klash nightclubs are all located in B1 and the fifth floor houses another nightclub called Cocco & Co and bar called Barcode.

ATT 4 FUN is a shopping mall in Xinyi Special District, Taipei, Taiwan that opened on August 29, 2011. The name "ATT" stands for "attractive". Using the homonym of "FOR", the letters are changed to the number "4", which represents the four major industries of fashion, cultural creation, entertainment, and food. "FUN" combines fashion shopping with eating, drinking, playing, and fun, bringing all-round joy to a better life.

Nanshan A26 (Chinese: 南山A26), is an under construction, 153.3 m (503 ft), 30-storey skyscraper office building located in Xinyi Planning District, Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. With a total floor area of 83,076.65 m2 (894,229.6 sq ft), the building is expected to be completed in 2027.
