Wagram (French pronunciation: ​[vaɡʁam]) is a station on Paris Métro Line 3, located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. Alphabetically, the station is the last on the Paris Métro system.

On 17 September 1982 a car bomb exploded near Lycée Carnot in Paris, France, injuring 51 people. The attack was claimed by the Lebanese Armed Revolutionary Factions (FARL) in the context of anti-Israeli terrorism. The attack was not fatal, though most of the wounded were Carnot students. The bomb exploded in the car of Amos Manel, an Israeli diplomat, a Peugeot 504. The FARL had previously committed the assassinations of American lieutenant colonel Charles Ray in January and that of Israeli diplomat Yacov Barsimantov in April, both of whom were shot dead in Paris, amongst other attacks - some of which were done with the assistance of the Action Directe group. The attack happened on the eve of Rosh Hashanah and a few months after the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

The Lycée Carnot is a public secondary and higher education school at 145 Boulevard Malesherbes in the 17th arrondissement, Paris, France. The Lycée Carnot was founded in 1869, first bearing the name of École Monge and then renamed in 1895. Some of its former students have been among the most-influential personalities in the country, including Jacques Chirac, the former French President, and Pascal Lamy, the former president of the World Trade Organization since (2005–2013). The Orthodox theologian Fr. Alexander Schmemann attended the school. Daft Punk musicians Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo met there in 1987. The poet Louis Aragon also attended Carnot. The Lycée has served as a filming location for many films, and often hosts fashion shows during Paris fashion week. The heart of the building is a large hall measuring 80 by 30 meters covered with a glass roof mounted on a metal frame on a project by Gustave Eiffel. The Lycée Carnot has a middle school section and a high school section. There are also preparatory classes for grandes écoles, in economic and commercial sections as well as in sciences.

Place de Wagram is a square in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, at the junction of Boulevard Malesherbes, Boulevard Pereire and Avenue de Wagram. It forms one end of Avenue de Wagram (the other is Place de l'Étoile) and was renamed after the 1809 French victory at Wagram in 1868.

The Muséum national Jean-Jacques Henner is an art museum dedicated to the works of painter Jean-Jacques Henner (1829–1905), and located in the 17th arrondissement at 43, avenue de Villiers, Paris, France. The museum in housed within an 1878 mansion, formerly owned by the painter Guillaume Dubufe, acquired by Henner's niece in 1921. It was inaugurated as a museum in 1924, and became a national museum in 1943. Today the museum contains a large collection of paintings and drawings by Alsatian painter Jean-Jacques Henner, including some 1,000 sketches, documents, and souvenirs distributed in seven rooms on four floors of exhibition space. The collection includes more than 130 portraits, as well as mythical themes and figures in dream landscapes that approached Symbolism. Many studies are displayed with finished paintings, together with descriptions by major critics of the day.

The 17th arrondissement of Paris (XVIIe arrondissement) is one of the 20 arrondissements of the capital city of France. In spoken French, this arrondissement is referred to as dix-septième (pronounced [di sɛtjɛm]). The arrondissement, known as Batignolles-Monceau, is situated on the right bank of the River Seine.

The École Normale de Musique de Paris "Alfred Cortot" (ENMP) is a leading conservatoire located in Paris. At the time of the school's foundation in 1919 the term ecole normale (English: normal school) meant a teacher training institution, and the school was intended to produce music teachers as well as concert performers. Located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, it was founded by Auguste Mangeot and pianist Alfred Cortot. It is officially recognised by the Ministry of Culture and Communication and is under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The school is not recognised by the Bologna Process.

Kehilat Gesher is a Liberal Jewish synagogue located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris and founder of the Francophone Federation of Liberal Judaism and the Assembly of Liberal Judaism of France. Its Rabbi, American Tom Cohen, founded the synagogue to be Jewish and Franco American. The synagogue was founded in 1993 and today has around 190 families. Cohen is married to Pauline Bebe, the first female Rabbi in France and the founder of the Communauté juive libérale d'Île-de-France (CJL). Prayers are held in Hebrew, English and French.

Svenska Skolan Paris (French: Ecole Suédoise de Paris) is a Swedish international school in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, France. It serves maternelle (preschool), primaire (primary), collège (junior high school), and lycée (senior high school).

The statue of Frédéric Chopin (French: statue de Frédéric Chopin) is a marble sculpture in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, France, located in the Monceau Park, near the corner of Courcelles Boulevard and Alfred de Vigny Street. It is dedicated to Frédéric Chopin, a 19th-century composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic period. The monument was designed by Jacques Froment-Meurice and unveiled in 1906.

Courcelles (French pronunciation: [kuʁsɛl] (listen)) is a station on Paris Métro Line 2, under the Boulevard de Courcelles on the border of the 8th and 17th arrondissement of Paris.

Monceau (French pronunciation: ​[mɔ̃so]) is a station on Paris Métro Line 2 near the Parc Monceau on the border of the 8th and 17th arrondissement of Paris.
