Lariboisière Hospital (French: Hôpital Lariboisière) is a hospital in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, France. The hospital was one of several built following the second cholera pandemic, which had reached Paris in 1832, and which led to a new emphasis on hygienic practices in hospitals. It was built from 1846 to 1853 under architect Pierre Gauthier, with six buildings arranged around a central courtyard, connected by colonnaded walkways. The grounds include the funeral monument, by Carlo Marochetti, of Élisa de Lariboisière, who donated a large portion of the funds for the hospital's construction.It is a teaching hospital of University of Paris.

On 7 January 2016 in Paris, a man wearing a fake explosive belt attacked police officers with a meat cleaver while shouting "Allahu Akbar!" He was shot and killed by officers when he failed to obey an order to stop.The attempted attack took place on the first anniversary of the 2015 Charlie Hebdo shooting.

Barbès–Rochechouart (French pronunciation: ​[baʁbɛs ʁɔʃ(ə)ʃwaʁ]) is a station on Line 2 and Line 4 of the Paris Métro. Situated at the location where the 9th, 10th and 18th arrondissements all share a border point, the station is at the junction of Boulevard Barbès, named for the revolutionary, Armand Barbès, the Boulevard de Rochechouart, named for the abbess, Marguerite de Rochechouart, Boulevard de la Chapelle and Boulevard de Magenta.

The Lanterne Verte (Fr. Green Lantern) was a brothel in Paris. It was located on the corner of Rue de Chartres and Rue de la Goutte d'Or in the Goutte d'Or district in the 18th arrondissement, and was one of the more moderate brothels of Paris. The unusual thing about this brothel was that it had no rooms. The writer and poet Sylvain Bonmariage describes it in his book Gagneuses as follows: "The Lanterne Verte was a brothel; it was declared as such, and in its large hall, furnished as a cafe, naked girls served the offer of the house. A schoppen white wine cost a franc and who wanted to fuck with the girls or wank one, the waitress was paid forty sous. Everything happened on a bench or chair of the establishment: there were no rooms. Customers entering were usually surprised at two or three pairs who were just in full swing. This Lanterne Verte was a prosperous business; each waitress served thirty customers on average between twelve o'clock and five o'clock in the morning, which brought her sixty francs". In contrast to other brothels of Paris, such as Le Fourcy, the prostitutes were treated more justly there. "[...] a quarter of them gave off the Puffmutter. The daily wages of a worker were then at most ten francs!" But it was not all good in the green lantern: "The chairs were in broken condition, [...]" The Lanterne Verte was closed in 1921.

The Gare du Nord (pronounced [ɡaʁ dy nɔːʁ]; English: North Station), officially Paris-Nord, is one of the seven large mainline railway station termini in Paris, France. The station accommodates the trains that run between the capital and northern France via the Paris–Lille railway, as well as to international destinations in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Located in the northern part of Paris near the Gare de l'Est in the 10th arrondissement, the Gare du Nord offers connections with several urban transport lines, including Paris Métro, RER and buses. The majority of its passengers have been commuters travelling between the northern suburbs of Paris and outlying towns. It is the busiest railway station in Europe by total passenger numbers; in 2015, the Gare du Nord saw more than 700,000 passengers per day.The current Gare du Nord was designed by French architect Jacques Ignace Hittorff, while the original complex was constructed between 1861 and 1864 on behalf of the Chemin de Fer du Nord company. The station replaced an earlier and much smaller terminal sharing the same name, which was operational between 1846 and 1860. A substantial refurbishment programme being performed during the late 2010s and early 2020s will greatly redesign the station. The plans for this include a significant expansion of the station's footprint and ability to handle passengers, expanding onsite amenities and establishing a new departure terminal in preparation for the 2024 Summer Olympics. As a consequence of this redevelopment, the Gare du Nord will become the largest railway station in Europe.

Saint-Bernard-de-la-Chapelle (French pronunciation: ​[sɛ̃.bɛʁ.naʁ.də.la.ʃa.pɛl]), is a Neo-gothic Roman Catholic parish church in the Goutte d'Or neighborhood of the 18th arrondissement of Paris, located at the intersection of the Rue Saint-Bruno and the Rue Affre.Saint-Bernard is also the name of the chapel of the Gare Montparnasse.

Gare du Nord (French: [ɡaʁ dy nɔʁ]) is a station on Line 4 and Line 5 of the Paris Métro. It is the busiest station in the system (not including RER stations), with 48 million entrances a year. It is connected to the SNCF railway station Gare du Nord (literally, "North Station", until 1938 run by the well-known company Chemins de Fer du Nord), which is served by RER B, RER D and Transilien Nord commuter trains as well as interurban trains to northern France, Eurostar trains to London and Thalys trains to Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne. The station is also connected to the La Chapelle Métro station on Line 2 and to the Magenta RER station on RER E.

The Goutte d'Or (French pronunciation: ​[ɡut dɔʁ], Drop of Gold) is a neighbourhood in Paris, located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. The neighbourhood has large numbers of North African and sub-Saharan residents. It is known for its open-air market, le marché Dejean.

The Church of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul (Église Saint-Vincent-de-Paul) is a church in the 10th arrondissement of Paris dedicated to Saint Vincent de Paul. It gives its name to the Quartier Saint-Vincent-de-Paul around it.

Château Rouge (French pronunciation: ​[ʃɑto ʁuʒ]) is a station on Line 4 of the Paris Métro in the 18th arrondissement. The station opened on 21 April 1908 as part of the first section of the line from Châtelet to Porte de Clignancourt. It is named for the Place du Château Rouge, named for a handsome residence of red bricks built nearby in 1760 and demolished in 1875. The nearby Goutte d'Or district is a vibrant, multicultural area and the Rue Dejean street market operates every day except Monday.
