Corby railway station, owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Railway, is in Corby, Northamptonshire, England. The current station, opened on 23 February 2009, replaces an earlier one dating from 1879, first closed on 18 April 1966 but reopened between 1987 and 1990. Plans for the current station, opposite the original, were approved in late 2007. It opened with just one daily train each way on Mondays to Fridays. The full current service of hourly trains to and from London began on 27 April 2009, after East Midlands Trains had taken delivery of the additional trains needed for its implementation.

Little Stanion is a Corby Borough Estate which is more commonly referred to as a village, in the North Northamptonshire district of Northamptonshire on the edge of Rockingham Forest, 1.1 miles (1.82 km) southeast from the centre of Corby and 7 miles from Kettering. It is a housing estate which, as of October 2016, has 733 completed houses with current plans to build up to 970. The first houses were completed in 2008. The estate neighbours Stanion, Brigstock and Geddington and although can be found under a Corby postcode it is deemed to be its own village. Little Stanion already has some 37 acres of completed parkland, with a network of 3.5 km of paths, an outdoor gym area, two children’s play parks, and a much sought after primary school. Little Stanion Primary School is a one-form entry school which opened in 2012. The school was assessed as “Good” by Ofsted in October 2015. Little Stanion is privately owned and managed by Little Stanion Farm Management Company. The estate is within the parish of Little Stanion, a new independent parish was established for the village on 1 April 2018.The Little Stanion Village Association (LSVA) was established in 2011 to ensure that residents of the village had a central point to receive information, share their views and have their questions answered. LSVA has been very active since its inception arranging a number of community events and working closely with local organisations to promote the new village and protect its interests. There is just a single access route to the village from the A43/A6116 roundabout.

The Corby toxic waste case was a court case decided by The Hon. Mr. Justice Akenhead at the High Court of Justice, London, on 29 July 2009 in the case of Corby Group Litigation v. Corby Borough Council [2009] EWHC 1944 (TCC). The judge found Corby Borough Council liable in negligence, public nuisance and a breach of statutory duty for its reclamation of a Corby Steelworks in the town of Corby, Northamptonshire, between 1985 and 1997. The landmark decision was historically significant as the first in the world to establish a link between atmospheric toxic waste and birth defects - all previous cases have involved water pollution - and held implications for other council reclamation programs and the methods of conducting reclamation in England and Wales.The case has been described as "the British Erin Brockovich".

Built in 2010, it is occupied by North Northamptonshire Council as its headquarters, but was originally built for Corby Borough Council (abolished in 2021). Little Oakley is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Newton and Little Oakley, in the North Northamptonshire district, in the ceremonial county of Northamptonshire, England. It is situated between Corby and Kettering. In 1931 the parish had a population of 85. On 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Great Oakley to form Oakley. Inside the village is St. Peter's church, which dates from the thirteenth century. Opposite the church is Primrose Cottage, a stone-built cottage dating back to the seventeenth century, where several generations of one family once lived and are now buried in the church yard. The villages name means 'Oak-tree wood/clearing'.

Corby East Midland International Swimming Pool (also known as Corby Pool) is a sports facility located in Corby, Northamptonshire, England, which is owned and run by Corby Borough Council. The centre, which cost £19 million, was opened in July 2009 and is regularly used by the Northants ASA to host competitive swimming galas and their annual championships. The pool is used by Corby Swimming Club and Corby Steel Diving Club as their main training facility. It is also used by Northampton Swimming Club for training and for hosting open meets.

Stanion is a village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, England. At the time of 2001 census, the parish's population was 873 people, increasing to 1,252 at the 2011 Census. There is a Church of England primary school.
