Corby is a town and civil parish in the North Northamptonshire district, in the ceremonial county of Northamptonshire, England, located 23 miles (37 km) north-east of Northampton. From 1974 to 2021, the town served as the administrative headquarters of the Borough of Corby. At the 2011 Census, the built-up area had a population of 56,810, while the borough, which was abolished in 2021, had a population of 75,571 in 2021.Figures released in March 2010 revealed that Corby had the fastest growing population in both Northamptonshire and the whole of England. The town was at one time known locally as "Little Scotland" due to the large number of Scottish workers who came to Corby for its steelworks. Recently, Corby has undergone a large regeneration process with the opening of Corby railway station and Corby International Pool in 2009 and the Corby Cube in 2010. The Cube was home to the (former) Corby Borough Council offices and also houses a 450-seat theatre, a public library and other community amenities.

The Corby toxic waste case was a court case decided by The Hon. Mr. Justice Akenhead at the High Court of Justice, London, on 29 July 2009 in the case of Corby Group Litigation v. Corby Borough Council [2009] EWHC 1944 (TCC). The judge found Corby Borough Council liable in negligence, public nuisance and a breach of statutory duty for its reclamation of a Corby Steelworks in the town of Corby, Northamptonshire, between 1985 and 1997. The landmark decision was historically significant as the first in the world to establish a link between atmospheric toxic waste and birth defects - all previous cases have involved water pollution - and held implications for other council reclamation programs and the methods of conducting reclamation in England and Wales.The case has been described as "the British Erin Brockovich".

Corby Cube is a municipal building in the town of Corby, Northamptonshire, England. Built in 2010, it is occupied by North Northamptonshire Council as its headquarters, but was originally built for Corby Borough Council (abolished in 2021). The building houses a council chamber, a register office, a public library, a 450-seat theatre and a 100-seat studio theatre.

Corby East Midland International Swimming Pool (also known as Corby Pool) is a sports facility located in Corby, Northamptonshire, England, which is owned and run by Corby Borough Council. The centre, which cost £19 million, was opened in July 2009 and is regularly used by the Northants ASA to host competitive swimming galas and their annual championships. The pool is used by Corby Swimming Club and Corby Steel Diving Club as their main training facility. It is also used by Northampton Swimming Club for training and for hosting open meets.

Little Stanion is a Corby Borough Estate which is more commonly referred to as a village, in the North Northamptonshire district of Northamptonshire on the edge of Rockingham Forest, 1.1 miles (1.82 km) southeast from the centre of Corby and 7 miles from Kettering. It is a housing estate which, as of October 2016, has 733 completed houses with current plans to build up to 970. The first houses were completed in 2008. The estate neighbours Stanion, Brigstock and Geddington and although can be found under a Corby postcode it is deemed to be its own village. Little Stanion already has some 37 acres of completed parkland, with a network of 3.5 km of paths, an outdoor gym area, two children’s play parks, and a much sought after primary school. Little Stanion Primary School is a one-form entry school which opened in 2012. The school was assessed as “Good” by Ofsted in October 2015. Little Stanion is privately owned and managed by Little Stanion Farm Management Company. The estate is within the parish of Little Stanion, a new independent parish was established for the village on 1 April 2018.The Little Stanion Village Association (LSVA) was established in 2011 to ensure that residents of the village had a central point to receive information, share their views and have their questions answered. LSVA has been very active since its inception arranging a number of community events and working closely with local organisations to promote the new village and protect its interests. There is just a single access route to the village from the A43/A6116 roundabout.

Little Oakley is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Newton and Little Oakley, in the North Northamptonshire district, in the ceremonial county of Northamptonshire, England. It is situated between Corby and Kettering. In 1931 the parish had a population of 85. On 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Great Oakley to form Oakley. Inside the village is St. Peter's church, which dates from the thirteenth century. Opposite the church is Primrose Cottage, a stone-built cottage dating back to the seventeenth century, where several generations of one family once lived and are now buried in the church yard. The villages name means 'Oak-tree wood/clearing'.

Oakley Vale is a 436-acre (1.76 km2) housing development situated in the south west of Corby, England. The development was begun in 2001 by Cofton, and over 2000 houses have now been built. The adjacent area of Snatchill, developed from around the mid-1990s, is often regarded as being within the Oakley Vale development boundary. Oakley Vale contains a mix of housing types ranging from small apartments to large 5 or six bedroomed family homes. The cost of housing at levels lower than the UK average and the proximity to the East Midlands main line have attracted homebuyers from more expensive surrounding areas and even as far afield as London. Local services in Oakley Vale includes a parade of shops at Charter Court on Butland Road. Oakley Vale Primary school was opened in 2008 and Brooke Weston Academy is located in the Oakley Vale development. Located in the south west of Corby, Oakley vale is within a few miles of the A14 road (England) and just 23 miles (38 km) of the UK motorway network via the M1 motorway (Great Britain) and the M6 motorway The development is 2 miles (3 km) from Corby railway station providing fast links to London St Pancras station.

Kettering Science Academy is a secondary and sixth form school in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England, teaching pupils from age 11 to 18. It is a member of the Brooke Weston Trust and moved into a new building in September 2012.
