Kōfuku-ji

Sento-kun (せんとくん) is a yuru-chara mascot created by Nara City Office to commemorate the 1300th anniversary of Nara Heijō-kyō, the ancient capital of Japan, in 2010. The city of Nara has a long tradition of adopting guardian deities such as Nio (a pair of temple guardians), Asura, Jūni Shinshō (Twelve Heavenly Generals) and Shitenno (Four Guardian Kings). The new mascot was chosen by the city office to inherit their mission, and as a "personification of the energy" of the ancient capital dotted with temples, gardens and shrines. Sento-kun is meant to resemble an amiable young boy who has the antlers of a deer, an animal which has long been regarded as a heavenly protector of the city.

Nara Prefectural Museum of Art (奈良県立美術館, Nara kenritsu bijutsukan) opened in Nara, Japan in 1973. The collection numbers some 4,100 items and special exhibitions are also held.

Kintetsu Nara Station (近鉄奈良駅, Kintetsu-Nara-eki) is a railway station on the Nara Line in Nara, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Kintetsu Railway.

Nara Hotel (奈良ホテル) is a five star hotel in Nara, Japan. The hotel is located on the hillside overlooking Nara Park. Opened on October 17, 1909, it is one of the most historic hotels in Japan. It was designed by Tatsuno Kingo who was also the designer of the Bank of Japan building and the Marunouchi building of Tokyo Station and is known as the teacher of Kenkichi Yabashi, the designer of National Diet Building, and Kataoka Yasushi who was also the designer of Osaka City Hall. It is partially owned by the West Japan Railway Company. In 2009 the first centennial anniversary of the hotel was celebrated.

The Nara National Museum (奈良国立博物館, Nara Kokuritsu Hakubutsukan) is one of the pre-eminent national art museums in Japan.

Gangō-ji (元興寺) was one of the first Buddhist temples in Japan, and was ranked as one of the powerful Seven Great Temples, in Nara, Japan. It was mostly destroyed in the Muromachi period and the old town of Naramachi occupies most of what was once the temple's precincts. Three small portions of the temple have survived to the present day, and each is now a separate temple.

Yoshiki-en (吉城園) is a Japanese garden in Nara, Japan, to the immediate southwest of Isui-en.

Nara Women's University (奈良女子大学, Nara joshi daigaku) is a national women's university located in Nara, Nara Prefecture, Japan. It is one of two national women's universities in the country, the other being Ochanomizu University.

The Historical Materials Preservation House (史料保存館, shiryō hozon kan) opened near Gangō-ji in Nara, Japan, in 1993. The facility investigates, preserves, and displays old documents and other historical materials relating to Naramachi (ならまち) and Nara City more generally, and the exhibitions change monthly. The large cornerstone in the courtyard is thought to be from the Gangō-ji shōrō.

Neiraku Museum (寧楽美術館, Neiraku Bijitsukan) is an art museum in the city of Nara, central Japan. The museum opened in April 1969. It contains the works collected by Nakamura Junsaku (1875–1953), who was the founder of the Isuien Garden. The collection totals over 2000 items, which includes bronze wares, seals and mirrors of ancient China as well as pottery of ancient Korea. The museum building was built in a traditional style and features rotating exhibitions.

Himuro Shrine (氷室神社, Himuro Jinja) is a Shinto shrine in Nara, Nara Prefecture, Japan. It was established in 710. Kami enshrined here include Tsugenoinagi oyamanushi no mikoto, Emperor Nintoku and Nukata no Onakatsuhiko no Mikoto (額田大仲彦命). The shrine's main festival is held annually on October 1. Tsugenoinagi oyamanushi no mikoto was a folk figure said to have invited a way to preserve ice. Prince Nukata no Onakatsuhiko no Mikoto, a brother of Emperor Nitoku, met with Tsugenoinagi oyamanushi no mikoto and brought the method to preserve ice to the Emperor

Isui-en (依水園, Isuien) is a Japanese garden located in Nara, the old capital of Japan near Kyōto. It has been preserved since its creation in the Meiji era, and is the only walking garden (kaiyushiki teien) in Nara. It is divided into two sections, which were originally two separate gardens, and each features a pagoda.
