The Elijah Kellogg House is an historic house on Barton Lane in Harpswell, Maine. It is a well-preserved Greek Revival house, built in 1849 by Elijah Kellogg, a Congregationalist minister at the nearby church, and a lecturer and author of popular boy's adventure books. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 28, 1975.

Maquoit Bay is a bay in Cumberland County, Maine, in the northern part of Casco Bay. It is located between South Freeport and Mere Point, Brunswick, and is a Focus Area of Statewide Ecological Significance and one of the state's Important Bird Areas.The mouth of Maquoit Bay faces southwest, which results in its becoming a receptacle for nutrients flowing in from Casco Bay. The mixing of these nutrients with the organic material of the bay's salt marshes, a process assisted by the tides and the confluences of surrounding watercourses, creates a rich environment for marine life. On top of the large amounts of shellfish, the bay is also home to thousands of waterfowl, wading birds and shorebirds all year round. Shorebirds, in particular, undertake complete annual migration round trips of up to 20,000 miles, taking them to nesting areas in the Arctic and winter homes in South America, and many hundreds of them stop in Maquoit Bay to rest for the next leg of their journey.

The James Pennell Mansion is a mansion that stands at 257 Pennellville Road in the Pennellville Historic District in Brunswick, Maine.

Pennellville Historic District is a residential district located in Brunswick, Maine. To locals, the neighborhood is known simply as "Pennellville." There are several historic ship captains' houses in the District; much of the real estate is waterfront property. The area's historic significance centers on the shipbuilding company and shipyard, Pennell Brothers, on Middle Bay Cove. Pennell Brothers built wooden ships for the 18th and 19th century shipping trade. About 90 tall ships were produced at the yard.

Union Church is a historic church on Harpswell Neck Road (Maine State Route 123) in North Harpswell, Maine. Built in 1841, it is architecturally a distinctive and well-preserved combination of Greek Revival and Gothic Revival styles. It was used over the years by a variety of religious groups, and is now maintained by the Harpswell Garden Club. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Merriconegan Farm, or Merrucoonegan Farm, is a historic farm property on Maine State Route 123 in North Harpswell, Maine. The farmstead, most of which dates to the 1830s, is a remarkably well preserved and extensive example of a connected farm complex. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Brunswick High School is located at 116 Maquoit Rd in Brunswick, Maine, United States. It is a part of the Brunswick School Department.

Birch Island is an island and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Harpswell, Maine, United States. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area. Birch Island is thought to have been among several in Casco Bay where indigenous people establish summer fishing camps. The first colonial settler homestead on Birch Island is believed to have been established in about 1740, with up to a dozen families living on Birch Island during the 19th century. A school was established that ran until 1845. By the end of the decade, many of the island's residents departed during the California gold rush.

The Deacon Andrew Dunning House is a historic house on Mountain Road in North Harpswell, Maine. Built about 1757 by one of Harpswell's early settlers, it is one of the town's oldest buildings. It was also the subject of a well-meaning but ill-informed Colonial Revival "restoration" in the 1940s, illustrating some of the issues with those types of actions. The property, which includes the Dunning family cemetery, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Crystal Spring Farm is a historic farm property at 277 Pleasant Hill Road in Brunswick, Maine. The 160-acre (65 ha) property has an agricultural history dating to the early 19th century, although most of its buildings are now of mid-20th century origin. The property is now owned by the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust, and is operated as a community farm. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The geographically smaller of the state's two congressional districts, the district covers the southern coastal area of the state. The district consists of all of Cumberland, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, and York counties and most of Kennebec County. Located within the district are the cities of Portland, Brunswick, and Saco. The district is currently represented by Democrat Chellie Pingree.

The Tarr–Eaton House, also known as Tarr–Eaton–Hackett House, is an historic house at 906 Harpswell Neck Road in Harpswell, Maine. Built before 1783 and enlarged about 1840, it is a well-preserved 18th-century Cape with added Greek Revival features, and one of Harpswell's few surviving pre-Revolutionary War buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
