Glenala State High School is a high school located on Glenala Road in Durack, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on the border with Inala. It was originally called Inala State High School. Inala High School serviced the Inala community from 1962 until 1995. The school motto was "Onwards and Upwards". In 1995–96 Inala High merged with Richlands High, on the original Inala High campus, and was renamed Glenala High. The new school motto was “Believe and Achieve”.

Inala bus station also has connections to Forest Lake Village Shopping Centre, Mount Ommaney Shopping Centre, Garden City Shoppers Centre, Princess Alexandra Hospital and QEII Hospital, Salisbury, Moorooka and Coopers Plains railway stations, and to Woolloongabba busway station, South Bank and the Brisbane City via the frequent express bus route 100 that operates from early morning until late night.

Archerfield Airport is a leased federal airport located in Archerfield, 11–12 km (6.8–7.5 mi) to the south of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. For some time it was the primary airport in Brisbane, it is now the secondary airport. During World War II it was used as a Royal Australian Air Force station. Airport traffic peaked in the 1980s. In December 2010, a development plan was released for public comment which included a new parallel runway.

No. 2 Elementary Flying Training School (No. 2 EFTS) was a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) pilot training unit that operated during World War II. It was one of twelve elementary flying training schools employed by the RAAF to provide introductory flight instruction to new pilots as part of Australia's contribution to the Empire Air Training Scheme. No. 2 EFTS was established in November 1939 as No. 3 Flying Training School at Archerfield, Queensland, and partially utilised aircraft and facilities of the civilian air training organisations based there. The school was renamed No. 2 EFTS in January 1940. It was disbanded in March 1942, and its operations transferred to No. 5 Elementary Flying School at Narromine, New South Wales, and No. 11 Elementary Flying School at Benalla, Victoria.

In the 2016 census, Oxley had a population of 8,336 people.Oxley is located approximately 10.8 kilometres (6.7 mi) from the Brisbane CBD, but it is 14.8 kilometres (9.2 mi) from the Brisbane GPO by road. The suburb contains a mix of residential and industrial land.

Acacia Ridge Air Raid Shelter is a heritage-listed former air raid shelter at 174 Mortimer Road, Acacia Ridge, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was built from c. 1942 to c. 1943 by Allied Works Council. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 6 April 2005.
