Villa-Lobos State Park (Portuguese: Parque Estadual Villa-Lobos) is a park in São Paulo, Brazil. It is named after composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, and is located next to Pinheiros River. It was created in 1989 on a site that was previously used as a rubbish tip. The park now has around 37,000 trees. It hosts the annual Aberto de São Paulo.

Estádio Universitário São Paulo is a multi-use stadium located in São Paulo, Brazil. It is used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of University of São Paulo. It was built in 1954. The stadium has a capacity of 30,000 people.

The Curso de Ciências Moleculares (in English: Molecular Sciences Course), also known as CCM, CM, or CECM, is an undergraduate option at the University of São Paulo aimed at students seeking a professional career in research and development. Its curriculum emphasizes academic freedom, interdisciplinarity, and multidisciplinarity. The ideal duration is eight semesters, divided into two cycles: in the first two years (the “basic cycle”), students take classes in biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and computer science. In the final two years (the “advanced cycle”), students undertake scientific initiation or internships in research and development, building a schedule with courses offered at any recognized higher education institution worldwide, including graduate-level courses. Previously located in “Favo 22” of the “Colmeias” (“the Hives”), the course is now housed in the Inova USP (Research and Innovation Center), located on the University City campus, in the Butantã district of São Paulo.

The Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo (or the Engineering School of the University of São Paulo, Portuguese: Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo) (usually called Poli, Poli-USP or EPUSP) is an engineering school at the University of São Paulo (USP) in São Paulo, Brazil. It was founded in 1893 - before the creation of USP itself - and was the first engineering school in the state of São Paulo. Its original name was "Escola Politécnica de São Paulo". It was incorporated by USP in 1934. Its students are known as "politécnicos". Since many graduates from the Escola Politécnica have, throughout Brazilian history, occupied positions with public exposure and/or business and industry leadership, including ten mayors of São Paulo and six state governors, it has a reputation of "training leaders". The Escola Politécnica is part of the University of São Paulo, widely regarded as one of the best higher education institutions in Latin America, but has acquired a reputation in its own right, having its civil, electrical, mechanical, and chemical engineering courses ranked as the best in the country in 2014.Internationally, along with the other engineering schools of USP (São Carlos School of Engineering and Lorena School of Engineering), the Escola Politécnica was ranked among the top 100 engineering schools worldwide by Academic Ranking of World Universities. The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP, Portuguese: Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo) is a public foundation located in São Paulo, Brazil, with the aim of providing grants, funds and programs to support research, education and innovation of private and public institutions and companies in the state of São Paulo. It was founded in 1962 and is maintained by endowments by the State government which are guaranteed as a fixed percentage of the State's tax, besides the income generated by the financial revenues of its own assets. FAPESP is an important institution for Brazilian science. Its investment on directed and priority projects, such as genomic science and industrial innovation, has resulted in a great international visibility for Brazilian science and technology. The University of São Paulo (Portuguese: Universidade de São Paulo, USP) is a public university in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. It is the largest Brazilian public university and the country's most prestigious educational institution, the best university in Ibero-America, and holds a high reputation among world universities, being ranked 100 worldwide in reputation by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. USP is involved in teaching, research and university extension in all areas of knowledge, offering a broad range of courses. The Architecture and Urbanism College, University of São Paulo (Portuguese: Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo) (usually called FAU, or FAUUSP) is an architecture and design school in the University of São Paulo in Brazil. It was founded in 1948 by a group of teachers from Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo.The current school building was designed by João Batista Vilanova Artigas. It contains a central atrium representing the power of collaboration, with a main ramp up through the building, and skylights. The atrium was designed both to host political and cultural events, and to foster conversation. Classrooms are around the outside edge of the building. It was built in 1968, and designed to reflect austerity rather than consumerism. It was inaugurated in 1969 and is considered one of the main representatives of architectural modernism in Brazil.Vilanova Artigas was a faculty member of the school, and also helped create the original school's curriculum, a Bauhaus-style program giving equal footing to technical skills, history, and design. During the early 2000s, there were internal discussions in the University that led to the creation of the Design course in 2006.
