The arrondissement of Sarcelles is an arrondissement of France in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region. It has 62 communes. Its population is 477,991 (2019), and its area is 371.3 km2 (143.4 sq mi).

Sarcelles (French pronunciation: ​[saʁ.sɛl]) is a commune in the northern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 16.3 km (10.1 mi) from the centre of Paris. Sarcelles is a sub-prefecture of the Val-d'Oise department and the seat of the arrondissement of Sarcelles. In the south of the commune, during the 1950s and 1960s, vast housing estates were built in order to accommodate pieds-noirs (French settlers from Algeria) and Jews who had left Algeria due to its war of independence. A few Jews from Egypt settled there after the Suez crisis, and Jews from Tunisia and Morocco settled in Sarcelles after unrest and riots against Jews due to the Six-Day War and to the Yom Kippur War.

Sarcelles–Saint-Brice station is a railway station located in Saint-Brice-sous-Forêt, France, which also serves Sarcelles. It is on the Épinay-Villetaneuse–Le Tréport-Mers railway. The station is used by Transilien line H trains from Paris to Persan-Beaumont and Luzarches. In 2002, the station served between 2,500 and 7,500 passengers a day. There are three car parks with 163 spaces in total. The Compagnie des chemins de fer du Nord (Nord company) opened the Épinay–Persan-Beaumont via Montsoult section of the Épinay–Le Tréport line in 1877.

Villiers-le-Bel is a commune in the French department of Val-d'Oise, in the northern suburbs of Paris. It is located 17.4 km (10.8 mi) from the center of Paris.

Île-de-France tramway Line 5 (usually called simply T5) is part of the modern tram network of the Île-de-France region of France. Line T5 connects the centre of Saint-Denis (Marché de Saint-Denis) and Garges - Sarcelles station, in the Northern suburbs of Paris. Line T5 was Île-de-France's first rubber-tyred tramway line. The line has a length of 6.6 km (4.1 mi) and 16 stations. It opened to the public on 29 July 2013. First envisioned during the 1990s as a means of providing better public transportation through Paris's northern suburbs, particularly the expanding districts of Pierrefitte-sur-Seine and Lochères in Sarcelles, actual planning activity for the line started during 1999. During February 2005, the defined Line 5 project was publicly announced by the Syndicat des Transports (STIF). Transit operator RATP was appointed as the principal contractor for performing the construction of the new line. During the latter part of 2009, work commenced upon Line 5's civil engineering works; construction commenced upon the track infrastructure and stations almost one year later. Line T5 is operated by the Régie autonome des transports parisiens (RATP) under the authority of Île-de-France Mobilités.

The Château d'Écouen is an historic château in the commune of Écouen, some 20 km north of Paris, France, and a notable example of French Renaissance architecture. Since 1975, it has housed the collections of the Musée national de la Renaissance (National Museum of the Renaissance).The château was built between 1539 and 1555 for Anne de Montmorency, the Connétable de France or Grand Constable, chief minister and commander of the French army for King Francois I, and later for Henri II. It contains important collections of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, stained glass, furniture, textiles and other arts of the French Renaissance.

Saint-Brice-sous-Forêt (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ bʁis su fɔʁɛ] (listen)) is a commune in the Val-d'Oise department in Île-de-France in northern France. Sarcelles–Saint-Brice station has rail connections to Persan, Luzarches and Paris.

Écouen (French pronunciation: [ekwɑ̃] (listen)) is a commune in the Val-d'Oise department, in the northern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 18.4 km (11.4 mi) from the center of Paris. The 19th-century poet and playwright Pierre-Joseph Charrin (1784–1863) died in Écouen. The artist Louis Théophile Hingre lived and worked in Écouen.Écouen houses the Château d'Écouen, home of the Montmorency family. This château, built during the Renaissance, houses the Musée national de la Renaissance, the largest Renaissance museum in France.

Garges–Sarcelles is a railway station in Île-de-France. The station is served by the RER D and serves the communes of Garges-lès-Gonesse and Sarcelles. The station is also the terminus of Île-de-France tramway Line 5.
