Stock Exchange Center

The Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology University of Warsaw (PCMA UW; Polish: Centrum Archeologii Śródziemnomorskiej UW im. Kazimierza Michałowskiego) operates as an independent research institute of the University of Warsaw under the present name since 1990. It is dedicated to organizing, implementing and coordinating archaeological research, both excavations and study projects, as well as conservation, reconstruction and restoration projects, in northeastern Africa, the Near East and Cyprus. Projects include sites covering a broad chronological spectrum from the dawn of civilization (prehistoric times) through all the historic periods of the ancient Mediterranean civilizations to Late Antiquity and early Islam. Tasks beside fieldwork include comprehensive documentation of finds, archives management and publication of the results in keeping with international research standards. The PCMA manages the Research Centre in Cairo and Polish Archaeological Unit in Khartoum.

The Charles de Gaulle Monument, also known as the Statue of Charles de Gaulle, is a monument in Warsaw, Poland, in the Downtown district placed near the Charles de Gaulle Roundabout, and in front of the Banking and Financial Centre building. It consists of the bronze statue of Charles de Gaulle, a Charles de Gaulle, military officer and statesman who led the Free French Forces against Nazi Germany in World War II, and served as the President of France. The stague was designed by sculptor Jean Cardot, while its pedestal and surrounding area, by Andrzej Kiciński, Marcin Bednarczyk, and Robert Jaworski. It was unveiled on 15 May 2005.

Bożydar-Kałęczyn was the name of a former jurydyka founded in 1702 near Warsaw. It was founded partly on the land of an existing village called Kałęczyn. The city hall was located at today's address, Nowy Swiat 8/10, by J. Szwarcenberg-Czerny.An informal Jewish settlement called Nowa Jerozolima (New Jerusalem in Polish) existed here (in the western part of what is now the city of Warsaw). Built by August Sułkowski, the settlement was demolished shortly after its foundation and most of the Jews eventually moved to the city itself. However, it gave the name to one of the principal streets of Warsaw, the Aleje Jerozolimskie.

The Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), Polish: Giełda Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie, is a stock exchange in Warsaw, Poland. It has a market capitalization of PLN 1.05 trillion (EUR 232 billion; as of December 23, 2020).The WSE is a member of the Federation of European Securities Exchanges. On 17 December 2013, the WSE also joined the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative.

Frascati (Polish pronunciation Frah-skah-tee) is a historic neighbourhood and inner-suburb in central Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The area extends eastward from the Three Crosses Square and covers the broad parkland and housing estates surrounding Frascati and Nullo streets, located between the Polish parliament building, the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the National Museum. The neighbourhood was named after the Italian city of Frascati.

The Central Securities Depository of Poland (Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych, KDPW) is a Polish central securities depository responsible for the management and supervision of the depository-settlement system as it relates to the trading of financial instruments in Poland. Polish CSD holds securities in uncertificated (dematerialized) form. It is a joint-stock company owned by 3 shareholders: the Polish Ministry of Treasury, the Warsaw Stock Exchange, and the National Bank of Poland. CSD of Poland has operated as a department of the Polish Stock Exchange since 1991, and has been a joint-stock company since November 1994. It participates in Association of National Numbering Agencies and European Central Securities Depositories Association.

Pozdrowienia z Alej Jerozolimskich (meaning "Greetings from Jerusalem Avenues") is an artistic construction in the form of an artificial date palm, designed by Polish artist Joanna Rajkowska, located on the Charles de Gaulle's Roundabout (rondo gen. Charles’a de Gaulle’a) in the Polish capital of Warsaw since December 12, 2002.

The Griffin Tenement (Polish: Kamienica Pod Gryfami) is a Renaissance Revival tenement house in Warsaw, Poland, at 18 Three Crosses Square, within the South Downtown neighbourhood. It designed by Józef Huss, and opened in 1886. Currently, it is used as an office building.

Smolna (Polish: Ulica Smolna) is one of the streets of Warsaw's city centre. It is entirely contained in the Śródmieście district, and runs for approximately 400m, orthogonal to the Vistula river. It is a one-way street, running eastwards from Charles de Gaulle roundabout to Jerusalem Avenue, approximately 1 km west of the river.

The Branicki Residential House is an eclectic-style historic building dating back to 1903, located on Smolna Street in Warsaw, Poland. It currently houses a four-star boutique Hotel Indigo Warsaw, a brand of InterContinental Hotels Group.

Three Crosses Square (Polish: Plac Trzech Krzyży, [ˈplat͡s ˈtʂɛx ˈkʂɨʐɨ], also "Square of Three Crosses", "Three Cross Square", and "Triple Cross Square") is an important square in the central district of Warsaw, Poland. It lies on that city's Royal Route and links Nowy Świat (New World) Street, to the north, with Ujazdów Avenue to the south. Much of the square's area is devoted to a major thoroughfare.

St. Alexander's Church (Polish: kościół św. Aleksandra) is a Roman Catholic church situated on Three Crosses Square in central Warsaw, Poland. It marks the historical southernmost entry into New World Street (Nowy Świat), the Royal Route and the Old Town. The temple is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Warsaw. It was designed in the neoclassical style by renowned Polish architect Chrystian Piotr Aigner, and constructed in the years 1818–1825. In the late 19th century, St. Alexander's was remodelled into a larger, more grandiose Neo-Renaissance church, with two side towers and a higher ornate dome. It was destroyed during World War II and reconstructed in its initial simpler form by 1952.
