Annapolis (formerly Monti) is an unincorporated community in Sonoma County, California, United States. Annapolis is situated near the coastline of northern Sonoma County, and is 5 miles (8.0 km) north-northeast of the nearest community, Stewarts Point. Annapolis has ZIP code 95412. The community is named after Annapolis Orchards, which was founded in the area in the 1880s. As of 2010, Annapolis has about 401 residents.

The Kashia Band of Pomo Indians of the Stewarts Point Rancheria is a federally recognized tribe of Pomo people in Sonoma County, California. They are also known as the Kashaya Pomo. The reservation, Stewarts Point Rancheria, is located in Stewarts Point in northwest Sonoma County, south of Point Arena. As of 2010, 78 people live on Stewarts Point Rancheria.

Rancho German (also called "Rancho de Hermann" or "Rancho de Ross") was a 17,580-acre (71.1 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Sonoma County, California given in 1846 by Governor Pío Pico to Ernest Rufus. Rufus named the ranch after Hermann, the German hero who defeated the Roman legions in the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest at the time of the Emperor Augustus. Herman, in Spanish, would be written "German". The name "Rancho de Hermann" appears on the diseno, but the expediente has "German". The grant extended along the Pacific coast from the Gualala River on the north to Salt Point State Park on the south, and included present day Gualala, Sea Ranch and Stewart's Point.

Stewarts Point is an unincorporated community in Sonoma County, California, United States and part of the "historic" Salt Point Township. Stewarts Point is located on the Pacific coast and California State Route 1, 20 miles (32 km) west of Healdsburg. Stewarts Point was originally part of the German Rancho, and was purchased by William Bihler in 1852. The unincorporated area is named for the first residents, the Stewart family, who moved to the area in 1856. In the official history for the United States Post Office, the name was said to have been given by Lt. Col. S. Stewart in 1888, however newspaper archives refer to the area as Stewarts Point as early as 1867, and attribute the name to the Stewart family who were the first residents in the area. Stewarts Point and the adjacent Fisherman Bay have a long and important history to the indigenous Pomo people, Kashia Band of Pomo Indians of the Stewarts Point Rancheria who have lived in the area for millennia. The large sheltered cove fed by a small creek offered access to the area's bountiful marine and coastal resources. The topographic advantages of this location were equally recognized by Euro-American settlers who set out from San Francisco to take advantage of the coastal redwood forest. John and Andrew Fisk built the first landing at Stewarts Point in 1867. By 1877, three lumber chutes shipped out products from nearby mills.The community was, and still is, an important part of California's timber industry, shipping ports, railroads, lumber mills, and tie camps operated out of the settlement.

The Wheatfield Fork Gualala River is a 35.1-mile-long (56.5 km) stream in the mountains of western Sonoma County, California which empties into the South Fork Gualala River just east of Sea Ranch, California.

The Baker House in Sea Ranch, California was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. It was designed by architect William Turnbull Jr. and was built in 1968.Per a 2019 article in design magazine Dwell, it is the only "Blinker Barn" that is listed on the National Register, and was listed for sale in 2019 at $1,325,000.Its 1968 redwood interior was crafted by Matthew Silvia. It was expanded to the rear in 2010 by addition of a structure connected by a catwalk.

Condominium 1 was the first unit in the Sea Ranch development on the Pacific coast of Sonoma County, California. The complex was designed by Charles W. Moore, Donlyn Lyndon, William Turnbull, Jr. and Richard Whitaker of the MLTW partnership in 1963–1964, and was built by contractor Matthew Sylvia in 1965. The timber-framed structure overlooks the Pacific Ocean. It has been described as one of the most significant architectural designs of the 1960s in California, and has received numerous awards.

Black Point is a cape on the Pacific Coast of northern California in the United States. It is located in the Sea Ranch area of Sonoma County, approximately 80 miles (130 km) northwest of San Francisco and approximately 40 miles (60 km) northwest of Santa Rosa.

Sea Ranch is an unincorporated community in Sonoma County, California, United States that was developed as planned community beginning in the 1960s. It is known for its distinctive timber-frame structures designed by several noted American architects. The first unit built at Sea Ranch, Condominium 1, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. The community's development played a role in the establishment of the California Coastal Commission. The population was 1,169 at the 2020 census. For statistical purposes, the United States Census Bureau has defined Sea Ranch as a census-designated place (CDP).

The Rotchev House is a historic house at Fort Ross State Historic Park in the U.S. state of California. Built in 1812, it is the fort's only building to survive from the period of the Russian-American Company's California settlement. It is one of a very small number of Russian-built structures in the United States, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1970 as the Commander's House, Fort Ross. (Fort Ross as a whole is also a National Historic Landmark.)

The Galbreath Wildlands Preserve is a 3,670-acre (14.9 km2) nature reserve in Mendocino County, California, United States, established in 2004 in honor of Fred Burckhalter Galbreath (1901-2000). The preserve, a former sheep ranch, is located in the Outer Coast Range 17 miles (27 km) from the coast, near Yorkville. The Preserve features woodland, forest and grassland communities that lie at the edge of coastal fog influence. Lands are in the upper Rancheria sub-basin of the Navarro Watershed and contain 1st - 5th order streams. The Preserve's forests are primarily second-growth coniferous forest and hardwood.

Gualala Point Regional Park is a regional park on Gualala Point at the mouth of the Gualala River in Sonoma County, California, south of Gualala. The 103-acre (42 ha) park is maintained by the Sonoma County Regional Parks Department.The park features a visitors center, picnic area, beach access, and views of the Pacific Ocean. It also offers redwood campsites, hiking, seasonal fishing in the Gualala River, and day use parking. Its restrooms have flush toilets, and the campground restrooms include showers and electrical outlets. The visitors center includes informational displays on Native Americans, early California history, and the logging industry of circa 1900.Gualala Regional Point Park offers 2.9 miles (4.7 km) of coastal trails and Gualala Point Beach is ADA accessible via a paved path. The Gualala Point Regional Park campground is located on the Eastern side of Hwy 1 and is connected to the day use area by a short forested trail.
