Łabski Szczyt or Violík (in Polish and Czech) (German: Veilchenstein) is a mountain peak located in the western Giant Mountains on the Czech-Polish border. The source of the Elbe River, one of Europe's major rivers, is situated on the southern (Czech) slopes of the mountain.

Wielki Szyszak (Czech: Vysoké kolo, German: Hohes Rad, literally High Wheel) is a mountain on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland. It is situated in the central (Silesian) part of the main mountain range of the Karkonosze, right above the village of Jagniątków. Its peak is at 1509 m above sea level. It is situated between Śnieżne Kotły and Śmielec. Mount Wielki Szyszak is the tenth-highest mountain in the Czech Republic. There are numerous other peaks in the vicinity of Wielki Szyszak, such as the Sokolnik, Violik, Velky Sisak, Kotel and Tvaroznik.

Śnieżne Kotły (1,175 m (3,855 ft), Czech: Sněžné jámy, German: Schneegruben, literally Snowy Pits, Snowy Cirque, Snowy Cwm) are two glacial cirques situated in Poland in the Sudetes in the Karkonosze National Park. They are a unique example of the alpine landscape in the area and have been a nature reserve since 1933.

Szrenica (1,362 m a.s.l.; Czech: Jínonoš, German: Reifträger) is a mountain peak situated in the western part of Giant Mountains in Poland, very close to the Polish-Czech border, within the Karkonosze National Park. Its name originates from the Polish word szron (frost). There is a weather station situated close to the summit. The peak is deforested, both the southern and the northern parts are used intensively for skiing. The elevation gain compared to the main range is approximately 60 m.

Czeskie Kamienie or Mužské kameny ("Bohemian/Czech Rocks" or "Man Rocks" in Polish and Czech respectively), 1,416 metres (4,646 ft) and Śląskie Kamienie or Dívčí kameny ("Silesian Rocks" or "Maiden Rocks"), 1,413 metres (4,636 ft) is a twin peak and a rock formation situated in the western part of Krkonoše on Polish and Czech border within the Karkonosze National Park on the Polish–Czech Friendship Trail. The rocks are up to 8 m high.

Śląskie Kamienie or Dívčí kameny ("Silesian Rocks" or "Maiden Rocks"; German: Mädelsteine), 1,413 metres (4,636 ft) and Czeskie Kamienie or Mužské kameny ("Bohemian Rocks" or "Man Rocks" in Polish and Czech respectively), 1,416 metres (4,646 ft) is a twin peak and a rock formation situated in the western part of the Giant Mountains on Polish-Czech border within the Karkonosze National Park on the Polish–Czech Friendship Trail. The rocks are up to 8 m high.

The Giant Mountains, Krkonoše, or Karkonosze (Czech: [ˈkr̩konoʃɛ] , Polish pronunciation: [karkɔˈnɔʂɛ] , German: Riesengebirge pronounced [ˈʁiːzn̩ɡəˌbɪʁɡə] ), are a mountain range located in the north of the Czech Republic and the south-west of Poland, part of the Sudetes mountain system (part of the Bohemian Massif). The Czech-Polish border, which divides the historic regions of Bohemia and Silesia, runs along the main ridge. The highest peak, Sněžka (Polish: Śnieżka), is the Czech Republic's highest natural point with an elevation of 1,603 metres (5,259 ft). On both sides of the border, large areas of the mountains are designated national parks (the Krkonoše National Park in the Czech Republic and the Karkonosze National Park in Poland), and these together comprise the Krkonoše/Karkonosze Transboundary Biosphere Reserve under the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Programme. The source of the River Elbe is within the Giant Mountains. The range has a number of major ski resorts, and is a popular destination for tourists engaging in downhill and cross-country skiing, hiking, cycling and other activities.

Špindlerův Mlýn (Czech pronunciation: [ˈʃpɪndlɛruːv ˈmliːn]; German: Spindlermühle, formerly also Spindelmühle) is a town in Trutnov District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,100 inhabitants. It lies in the Giant Mountains and it is one of the most frequented ski resorts in the country.

Szklarska Poręba [ˈʂklarska pɔˈrɛmba] (German: Schreiberhau) is a town in Jelenia Góra County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. The town has a population of around 6,500. It is a popular ski resort. An important regional and national centre for mountain hiking, cycling and skiing, Szklarska Poręba is situated in the Sudetes, in the valley of the Kamienna, between the Karkonosze Mountains in the south and Jizera Mountains in the west, at 440–886 m above sea level, 16 miles (26 kilometres) south-west of Jelenia Góra. The ski resorts in this area are growing in popularity as a budget alternative to the Alps, thanks to wide range of both Alpine and Nordic skiing facilities.

Vítkovice (German: Witkowitz) is a municipality and village in Semily District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants.

Przełęcz Karkonoska (literally "Karkonosze Pass"; Czech: Slezské sedlo, literally "Silesian Pass") is a mountain pass in the central Giant Mountains on the Polish-Czech border. At 1,197 m (3,927 ft), it is the lowest point of the main ridge of the Giant Mountains. In the Czech Republic, the area is also referred to as Špindlerova bouda ("Špindler's Hut"), after a mountain hut located there. Another chalet, situated on the Polish side of the border, is called Odrodzenie.

Benecko (German: Benetzko) is a municipality and village in Semily District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,100 inhabitants. It is a winter tourist resort. The village of Horní Štěpanice with timbered cottages is protected by law as a village monument reservation.
