Trafford Park engine shed was in Manchester (England), on a 3/4 x 1/4 mile site at OS Map Ref: SJ80379632 west of Manchester United football ground, set well back from the Manchester-Liverpool main line of the Cheshire Lines Committee just to the north of what is now the Trafford Park terminal of Freightliner Limited.

Old Trafford () is a football stadium in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, and the home of Manchester United. With a capacity of 74,310 it is the largest club football stadium (and second-largest football stadium overall after Wembley Stadium) in the United Kingdom, and the eleventh-largest in Europe. It is about 0.5 miles (800 m) from Old Trafford Cricket Ground and the adjacent tram stop. Nicknamed "The Theatre of Dreams" by Bobby Charlton, Old Trafford has been United's home ground since 1910, although from 1941 to 1949 the club shared Maine Road with local rivals Manchester City as a result of Second World War bomb damage. Old Trafford underwent several expansions in the 1990s and 2000s, including the addition of extra tiers to the North, West and East Stands, almost returning the stadium to its original capacity of 80,000. Future expansion is likely to involve the addition of a second tier to the South Stand, which would raise the capacity to around 88,000. The stadium's record attendance was recorded in 1939, when 76,962 spectators watched the FA Cup semi-final between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Grimsby Town. Old Trafford has hosted an FA Cup Final, two final replays and was regularly used as a neutral venue for the competition's semi-finals. It has also hosted England fixtures, matches at the 1966 World Cup, Euro 96 and the 2012 Summer Olympics, including women's international football for the first time in its history, and the 2003 Champions League Final. Outside football, it has been the venue for rugby league's annual Super League Grand Final every year except 2020, and the final of Rugby League World Cups in 2000, 2013 and 2022.

Imperial War Museum is a tram stop in Trafford Park on Greater Manchester's Metrolink light rail system. It opened on 22 March 2020.

Manchester United Football Ground railway station, often known as the Old Trafford Halt or Manchester United FC Halt, is a railway station adjacent to Old Trafford football stadium in Stretford, Greater Manchester. It is on the southern Liverpool Lime Street-Manchester Piccadilly railway line, between Deansgate and Trafford Park. Since 2018, matchday services to and from the station do not operate at the request of the club due to health and safety concerns.

The Salford Quays lift bridge, also known as the Salford Quays Millennium footbridge or the Lowry bridge, is a 91.2-metre (299 ft) long vertical lift bridge spanning the Manchester Ship Canal between Salford and Trafford in Greater Manchester, England. The pedestrian bridge, which was completed in 2000, is near the terminus of the ship canal at the old Manchester Docks. It is sited beside The Lowry theatre and gallery and links Salford Quays and MediaCityUK to Trafford Wharf and the Imperial War Museum North. It has a lift of 18 metres (59 ft), allowing large watercraft to pass beneath. The bridge features prominently on the backdrop for the BBC North West Tonight television news programme, which also shows The Lowry and MediaCityUK.

Imperial War Museum North (sometimes referred to as IWM North) is a museum in the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford in Greater Manchester, England. One of five branches of the Imperial War Museum, it explores the impact of modern conflicts on people and society. It is the first branch of the Imperial War Museum to be located in the north of England. The museum occupies a site overlooking the Manchester Ship Canal on Trafford Wharf Road, Trafford Park, an area which during the Second World War was a key industrial centre and consequently heavily bombed during the Manchester Blitz in 1940. Just across the Trafford Wharf Road from the Museum is the bulk of the Rank Hovis Flour Mill, a survivor from a former industrial age and now rather out of keeping with the surrounding architecture. The area is now home to the Lowry cultural centre and the MediaCityUK development, which stand opposite the museum at Salford Quays. The museum building was designed by architect Daniel Libeskind and opened in July 2002, receiving 470,000 visitors in its first year of opening. It was recognised with awards or prize nominations for its architecture and is a prime example of Deconstructivist architecture. The museum features a permanent exhibition of chronological and thematic displays, supported by hourly audiovisual presentations which are projected throughout the gallery space. The museum also hosts a programme of temporary exhibitions in a separate gallery. Since opening, the museum has operated a successful volunteer programme, which since January 2007 has been run in partnership with Manchester Museum. As part of a national museum, Imperial War Museum North is financed by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and by self-generated income. Admission is free.

Stretford High School is an 11-16 non-selective secondary school in the borough of Trafford, Manchester. The school has working partnerships with both Manchester City and Lancashire County Cricket Club.

Hotel Football is an upscale football-themed hotel overlooking Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United F.C. Owned by former players Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Phil Neville and Gary Neville as well as the GG Hospitality Management Company; the hotel was built at a cost of £24m and features 133 rooms, a restaurant called Cafe Football and a five-a-side football pitch on the roof. Opened in 2015, the hotel is the first in a planned chain of football-themed hotels to be located near football grounds around the world.

Sir Matt Busby Way is a road in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. It is the location of Manchester United's Old Trafford football ground. Formerly known as Warwick Road North, it was renamed in 1993 in honour of Sir Matt Busby, who managed Manchester United in two spells between 1945 and 1971. Busby died less than a year later on 20 January 1994, aged 84. A bronze statue of Sir Matt Busby, erected in 1996, stands on the exterior of the East Stand of the Old Trafford stadium, overlooking Sir Matt Busby Way. The road is approximately 420 metres (459 yd) long and runs from Chester Road (A56) to Trafford Park Road/Wharfside Way (A5081). It also leads onto United Road, which runs under the North Stand of the Old Trafford stadium, and Railway Road, which runs alongside the railway line adjacent to the stadium. In June 2011, Manchester United and Trafford Council began the process of permanently pedestrianising Sir Matt Busby Way. It was previously completely open to traffic, except for short periods during events at the Old Trafford stadium. The restrictions, which were introduced on 12 December 2008, meant the road would close three hours prior to an event and reopen two hours afterwards.

The Lowry is a theatre and gallery complex at Salford Quays, Salford, Greater Manchester, England. It is named after the early 20th-century painter L. S. Lowry, known for his paintings of industrial scenes in North West England. The complex opened on 28 April 2000 and was officially opened on 12 October 2000 by Queen Elizabeth II.

The Trafford Park Railway System is a disused railway system that runs around the site of large Trafford Park Industrial Estate. Rail service stopped in 1998, although some of the infrastructure remains.

Salford Quays is an area of Salford, Greater Manchester, England, near the end of the Manchester Ship Canal. Previously the site of Manchester Docks and Salford Docks, it faces both Manchester and Trafford across the canal.
