Tigard High School is a public high school located in Tigard, Oregon, United States. It is one of two high schools in the Tigard-Tualatin School District and educated students in grades 9–12.

Fanno Creek is a 15-mile (24 km) tributary of the Tualatin River in the U.S. state of Oregon. Part of the drainage basin of the Columbia River, its watershed covers about 32 square miles (83 km2) in Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas counties, including about 7 square miles (18 km2) within the Portland city limits. From its headwaters in the Tualatin Mountains (West Hills) in southwest Portland, the creek flows generally west and south through the cities of Portland, Beaverton, Tigard and Durham, and unincorporated areas of Washington County. It enters the Tualatin River about 9 miles (14 km) above the Tualatin's confluence with the Willamette River at West Linn. When settlers of European origin arrived, the Kalapuya lived in the area, having displaced the Multnomahs in pre-contact times. In 1847, the first settler of European descent, Augustus Fanno, for whom the creek is named, established an onion farm in what became Beaverton. Fanno Farmhouse, the restored family home, is a Century Farm on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of 16 urban parks in a narrow corridor along the creek. Although heavily polluted, the creek supports aquatic life, including coastal cutthroat trout (leopard spotted) in its upper reaches. Watershed councils such as the Fans of Fanno Creek and government agencies have worked to limit pollution and to restore native vegetation in riparian zones.

Durham is a city in Washington County, Oregon, United States. Incorporated in 1966, the city is surrounded by Tigard and Tualatin and is adjacent to the Bridgeport Village shopping complex. The population was 1,351 at the 2010 census.

The John Sweek House, also originally known as Meadowbrook, is a historic residence in Tualatin, Oregon, United States. Construction began in 1858 for John Sweek, who donated the land for Tualatin's original townsite. While the house is named after Sweek, his wife Maria managed the construction; Sweek had been off in Idaho for six years.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Creekside Community High School is a public high school located in Tigard, Oregon, United States. Formerly the Durham Education Center, the alternative high school accepts students in grades 9-12, while also a part of the Tigard-Tualatin School District. The school formally opened for the 2019-2020 school year. As outlined by the Hands-on Learning PDF, Creekside Community aims to "lead the way towards a future of holistic community health."Creekside Community offers a paid internship with the SupaFresh Youth Farm The farm employs up to 50 youth per year in paid internships that include Work Readiness Training, Leadership Development and Support Services. The hands-on, student-centered approach to learning at the farm empowers and supports youth to learn by doing.

Durham Education Center, also known as Durham Center was a public alternative school in Tigard, Oregon, United States. As of 2019, Durham Center became Creekside Community High School.

Oil Can Henry's was an oil-change shop based in Tualatin, Oregon, United States. Prior to being bought by Ashland Inc. in 2015, the company operated as a franchisor, and had locations in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, Arizona, Colorado and Minnesota. After the acquisition, the shops were re-branded as Valvoline Instant Oil Change locations. One feature of these shops was that they did not have waiting rooms; instead, customers watched the service from their car using a monitor that displayed live video from cameras placed around the car, and were also given a free newspaper to read (either local or USA Today). Employees were known for their uniforms that feature a bow tie and a newsboy cap. The company motto was "The One You Can Trust".

Tualatin is a train station in Tualatin, Oregon, United States, served by TriMet as part of WES Commuter Rail. Situated next to Hedges Green Shopping Center on Southwest Boones Ferry Road, it is the fourth station southbound on the commuter rail line, which operates between Beaverton and Wilsonville in the Portland metropolitan area's Washington County. The station was approved in 2004 as part of the Washington County Commuter Rail Project, but construction was delayed following a dispute with its location and the amount of available parking. A compromise was eventually reached, and it was completed in time for the line's opening in 2009. The station includes a 129-space park and ride and connections to the Tualatin Shuttle and TriMet bus routes 76–Hall/Greenburg and 97–Tualatin–Sherwood Rd. WES connects with the Blue and Red lines of MAX Light Rail at Beaverton Transit Center.

Tualatin Public Library is the library within Washington County Cooperative Library Services serving Tualatin, Oregon. In 2012, The Oregonian reported that nearly 200 volunteers contribute more than 1,000 hours to the library each month.

Portland Japanese School (PJS; ポートランド日本人学校 Pōtorando Nihonjin Gakkō) is a Japanese weekend supplementary school located in the Portland metropolitan area. The school has its office in Park Plaza West in Beaverton, and its classes are held at Hazelbrook Middle School in Tualatin. The Japanese Business Association of Portland (ポートランド日本人商工会 Pōtorando Nihonjin Shōkōkai), also known as the "Shokookai," oversees the school, which serves levels PK through 12.

John Tigard House is a home built in 1880 located in Tigard, Oregon. The home was originally owned by John Tigard, the son of Tigard founder, Wilson Tigard. Queen Anne in style, the structure was moved from its original location along Oregon Route 99W in 1978. Now a museum, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
