River Lemon Valley Woods

Bradley is a medieval manor house in Newton Abbot, Devon, England. It is set amongst woodland and meadows in the valley of the River Lemon about a half mile to the west of the main town. The house is now in the ownership of the National Trust.

Berry's Wood is an Iron Age hill fort situated close to Newton Abbot in Devon, England. The fort is situated at about 75 metres above sea level on a commanding promontory above the River Lemon with views down the Teign Estuary. It lies on the hilltop above Bradley Manor. The fort was first described in print in 1950 by Aileen Fox, who said that its defences consist of a single limestone rampart and a ditch. Its main entrance at the south-eastern end is approached by a sunken lane, and at the north-western end there is a postern. It encloses an area of about 11 acres and the remains of huts can be seen inside.

West Ogwell is a village and former civil parish and manor in Devon, England, located 2 miles south-west of the town of Newton Abbot and 1 mile west of the village of East Ogwell. It is now in the civil parish of Ogwell, administered by Teignbridge District Council. The church and manor house "lie hidden away on their own".

Puritan's Pit (also known as Preacher's Pit, The Devil's Pit or Gruti's Pit) is a large steep-sided pit in the south side of the valley of the River Lemon in Bradley Woods, just west of the town of Newton Abbot in Devon, England. It is probably a collapsed limestone cavern and although it is about 12 metres deep and some 50 metres across at its widest, it is invisible from the river and the main path on the other side.

Wolborough is a village and former civil parish in Devon, England. Today it forms a southern suburb of the large town of Newton Abbot, and is part of Newton Abbot civil parish.Anciently the village was separate from the town, and Wolborough parish encompassed the surrounding rural area and the southern part of the town.

Highweek (anciently called Teignwick (alias Teyngewike, Tingwike, Teyngewyk, etc.)), less commonly called Highweek Village, in South Devon, England, is a parish, former manor and village, now a suburb of, and administered by, the town of Newton Abbot, but still retaining its village identity. It is prominent and recognisable due to its high location on a ridge on the north edge of the town. The area is the centre of the modern electoral ward of Bradley. Its population at the 2011 census was 5,043.Following the Norman Conquest of 1066 the Normans built a motte-and-bailey castle here, of which only a dyke remains (giving it the local name of "Castle Dyke"), which probably remained occupied until the mid 13th century, when the chief residence of the locality became Bradley House. The mediaeval parish church, dedicated to All Saints, now a Grade I listed building, was consecrated in 1428. Until 1864 it served as a chapel of ease to the parish church of adjoining Kingsteignton having been built after the villagers petitioned the pope for their own graveyard.

East Ogwell is a village and former civil parish 15 miles (24 km) south of Exeter, now in the parish of Ogwell, in the Teignbridge district, in the county of Devon, England. In 2018 it had an estimated population of 855. In 1891 the parish had a population of 271.

The Passmore Edwards Centre is a grade II listed building in Newton Abbot, Devon, in England. It was built as a library and technical school by philanthropist John Passmore Edwards in memory of his mother who was born in the town. The building was completed between 1902 and 1904 to a design by architect Silvanus Trevail and his assistant Alfred Cornelius. It remains in use as a library.

St Leonard's Tower, Newton Abbot, popularly known as The Clock Tower, is a Grade II* listed building in Newton Abbot. It was constructed in the 15th-century as part of a Gothic-style church and was the site of William III's first proclamation in England (although he had not yet become king). The adjoining nave was demolished in 1836 to improve traffic flows but the tower was saved by a local petition. The structure is owned by the town council and opened to the public on selected days.

Newton Abbot College is an 11-19 secondary school situated in Newton Abbot, Devon. The College, recognised by Ofsted as a good School, offers education for GCSE and Sixth Form students.

Austins is a department store in Newton Abbot, Devon. Founded in 1924 as a drapery shop the store has expanded to four locations in one part of the town which has been described as the "Austins Quarter". It is a major employer in the town and the largest independent store in South West England.
