Frogmore is a village 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Radlett in Hertfordshire, and 2 miles (3.2 km) south of St Albans city centre (though in said city's contiguous built-up area). It is located in St Stephen civil parish, within the City and District of St Albans, and the county of Hertfordshire. It includes the 19th century Holy Trinity church designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, and Moor Mill featuring two water wheels, (not to be confused with Henry Fourdrinier's Frogmore Paper Mill in Apsley, Hemel Hempstead).

Colney Street is a hamlet in the English county of Hertfordshire. It lies on the A5183 road, this was formerly the A5 road and, before that, Roman Britain's Watling Street. In addition its northern boundary is delineated by the M25 motorway. These location advantages have led to it becoming a primarily industrial and business area. Colney Street was first recorded in Latin translation in 1275, and as Colneystrete in 1475. It takes its name from the River Colne, with the Old English suffix ēa, meaning "river", and the Middle English strete "Roman road", referring to Watling Street.Colney Street forms part of the civil parish of St Stephen in the district of St Albans. At the 2011 Census the population of the hamlet was included in that of St. Stephen.

Tykes Water is a minor tributary of the River Colne in Hertfordshire in England. Its head waters are a network of drainage ditches west of the A41 near Bushey that feed into Aldenham reservoir. The outlet of the reservoir then flows north into the lake in Haberdashers' Aske's School grounds known as Tykes Water Lake. It then proceeds north to make a confluence with a secondary stream, also called Tykes Water, near Kendal Hall Farm.The combined Tykes Waters flow through the centre of Radlett parallel to the railway and then flow north to join the River Colne near Colney Street. The lower part is also called The Brook.The secondary Tykes Water also known as Borehamwood Brook on some maps rises to the south of Borehamwood near Yavneh College and runs north through the town where it has been dammed to produce ornamental lakes in Aberford Park. It then runs north through open country . A minor tributary collects water from farm land north of Borehamwood and also joins near Kendal Hall Farm. Kitwells Brook joins the main stream just north of Radlett and drains land to the east in the direction of Shenley.

Park Street is a small Hertfordshire village on the southern outskirts of, and around 2 miles (3.2 km) south of the city centre of St Albans in England; it is separated from the rest of the latter's contiguous built-up area by a buffer to the north. Park Street has a petrol station, several tyre and automotive service businesses and two food-serving public houses; it is of late and initially disparate medieval origin. The village is also home to the penultimate station on the Abbey Line from Watford Junction, which opened in 1858. Park Street is also a larger local government ward (the largest settlement of which is How Wood and which includes part of Bricket Wood). The area falls within the Metropolitan Green Belt. Residents are mainly employed in nearby cities; east of the street in Frogmore is a substantial business centre and light industrial estate.

Napsbury railway station was built by the Midland Railway in 1905 on its line to St Pancras station. It was never more than an island platform between the slow lines, with a siding serving the Middlesex County Asylum at Napsbury, and closed in 1959. 20 July 1905 - Napsbury first and only station master John Thomas Cartledge began work, when he moved in 1910, supervision of the station moved to the station master at St Albans station

Hanstead House or Hanstead Park is a country house estate in Hertfordshire, England. Hanstead is near Bricket Wood, about three miles from Radlett and five miles from St Albans, within the green belt around London. It forms part of the civil parish of St Stephen, Hertfordshire within St Albans District Council. The park has been a stud, a college, and a corporate training centre, and is now owned by a property development firm. The current building, though in the Georgian style, dates from 1925. The property was mentioned in the Domesday Book.
