First & Main is a 17-story, 210.34 ft (64.11 m) office tower in downtown Portland, Oregon, at First and Main streets. The building was completed in 2010 at a cost of $100 million with Hoffman Construction Company as the general contractor for developer Shorenstein Properties.

One Main Place is a privately owned commercial office building in Downtown Portland, in the U.S. state of Oregon. Located at the west end of the Hawthorne Bridge, the 20-story skyscraper is 270 feet (82 m) tall. Completed in 1982, it is the fifteenth tallest building in Portland, and the sixteenth largest by square-foot. Designed in the modern style by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, it is a concrete and glass tower.

The Multnomah County Central Courthouse serves as the courthouse for Multnomah County, Oregon. It is located in downtown Portland, Oregon, the county seat. It opened in October 2020, replacing a nearby building that had been constructed between 1909 and 1914.Ground was broken on the project to build the new courthouse in October 2016, at which time it was scheduled to be completed in 2020 and cost $300 million. It reached its full height of 325 feet (99 m) on November 9, 2018. The building opened to the public on October 5, 2020.

The Jefferson Station, formerly known as the Jefferson Substation, is a building located in downtown Portland, Oregon, that was once listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Portland Police Museum is a museum located inside the Department of Justice building in downtown Portland, Oregon, United States. It showcases artifacts related to the city's law enforcement history. Admission is free.

The United States District Court for the District of Oregon (in case citations, D. Ore. or D. Or.) is the federal district court whose jurisdiction comprises the state of Oregon. It was created in 1859 when the state was admitted to the Union. Appellate jurisdiction belongs to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (except for patent claims and claims against the U.S. government under the Tucker Act, which are appealed to the Federal Circuit). Matthew P. Deady served as its first judge. Marco A. Hernandez is the current chief judge. The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Oregon represents the United States in civil and criminal litigation in the court. As of September 12, 2022, the United States attorney is Natalie K. Wight.

The Hamilton Hotel in Portland, Oregon, originally the Venable, was designed by Portland architect John V. Bennes's Bennes & Hendricks firm and built in 1913. It was four stories and in the Classic Revival Commercial Style.

The Portland Police Bureau (PPB), officially the Portland Bureau of Police, is the law enforcement agency of the city of Portland, the largest city in the U.S. state of Oregon. While oversight of Portland's bureaus shifts among the five City Commissioners, the mayor has historically been assigned to the Police Bureau as the police commissioner.

In 1985, a group of high-ranking Rajneeshees, followers of the Indian mystic Shree Rajneesh (later known as Osho), conspired to assassinate Charles Turner, the then-United States Attorney for the District of Oregon. Rajneesh's personal secretary and second-in-command, Ma Anand Sheela (Sheela Silverman), assembled the group after Turner was appointed to investigate illegal activity at the followers' community, Rajneeshpuram. Turner investigated charges of immigration fraud and sham marriages, and later headed the federal prosecution of the 1984 Rajneeshee bioterror attack in The Dalles, Oregon. The conspirators included Sheela; Sally-Anne Croft, chief financial officer of Rajneeshpuram; Susan Hagan, head of security at Rajneeshpuram; Catherine Jane Stork, who bought weapons and suppressors and volunteered to be the actual murderer; Ann Phyllis McCarthy, fourth-in-command of Rajneeshpuram; and co-conspirators Alma Potter, Carol Matthews, Phyllis Caldwell, and Richard Kevin Langford. Two of the conspirators obtained false identification to purchase handguns out-of-state, stalked Turner, and planned to murder him near his workplace in Portland, Oregon. The assassination plot was never carried out and was only discovered later, as a result of the investigation by federal law enforcement into the bioterror attack in The Dalles and other illegal acts by the Rajneeshpuram leadership. Prosecution of the conspirators began in 1990, when a federal grand jury brought indictments against several of the key players. Some had fled the country, and extradition proceedings against the perpetrators and subsequent prosecution and conviction was not completed for sixteen years. The final conspirator was convicted in 2006, when Catherine Jane Stork agreed to return to the United States from Germany in order to be allowed to visit her terminally ill son in Australia. Eight perpetrators received sentences ranging from five years' probation to five years in federal prison and an additional member of the Rajneesh commune pleaded guilty to murder conspiracy. Rajneesh was never prosecuted in relation to the conspiracy, and left the United States after pleading guilty to immigration fraud and agreeing not to reenter the country without permission from the U.S. Attorney General.

Umpqua Bank Plaza is a 19-story office building in Downtown Portland, Oregon, United States. Faced with red brick, the structure is 263 feet (80 m) tall and has 265,000 square feet (24,600 m2) of space. Opened in 1975 at a cost of $16 million, the building was designed by Wolff, Zimmer, Gunsul, Frasca (now known as ZGF Architects). Originally named the Benjamin Franklin Plaza after tenant Benj. Franklin Savings and Loan, the building was later renamed after current tenant Umpqua Holdings Corporation.

The Multnomah County Justice Center, or simply Justice Center, is a building located at 1120 Southwest 3rd Avenue in downtown Portland, Oregon. The building was designed by ZGF Architects. It is adjacent to Lownsdale Square. It houses Portland Police Bureau's Central Precinct on the bottom floors, followed by the Multnomah County Detention Center (one of the two county jails) and PPB's headquarters on the top floors. It also contains four court rooms of the Multnomah County Circuit Court, used mainly for arraignments. It was partially built with highway funds when Rocky Butte Jail was demolished to make way for Interstate 205.

The Edith Green – Wendell Wyatt Federal Building is a high rise structure in downtown Portland, Oregon, United States. Opened in 1975, the 18 story-tower is owned by the Federal Government. The international style office building has more than 370,000 square feet (34,000 m2) of space. Designed by the Skidmore, Owings and Merrill architecture firm, the building is named after Wendell Wyatt and Edith Green who both served in the United States House of Representatives.
