Skateraw Lifeboat Station

Skateraw is a small settlement in East Lothian, Scotland, centred on the Georgian farmhouse of Skateraw House and Skateraw Farm. It was formerly the site of a World War I airfield.

Innerwick railway station served the village of Innerwick, East Lothian, Scotland from 1848 to 1964 on the East Coast Main Line.

Torness nuclear power station is a nuclear power station located approximately 30 miles (50 km) east of Edinburgh at Torness Point near Dunbar in East Lothian, Scotland. It was the last of the United Kingdom's advanced gas-cooled reactors to be fully commissioned. Construction of this facility began in 1980 for the then South of Scotland Electricity Board (SSEB) and it was commissioned in 1988. It is a local landmark, highly visible from the A1 trunk road and East Coast Main Line railway. The power station is expected to be shut down in March 2030, prior to defuelling and then decommissioning.

Innerwick Castle is a ruined castle in East Lothian, Scotland, near the village of Innerwick, 5 miles (8.0 km) from Dunbar, on the Thornton Burn, and overlooking Thornton Glen.

Thornton Castle was a Scottish fortress belonging to the Montgomery family and subsequently Lord Home near Innerwick in East Lothian. Thornton Castle was on the opposite side of Thornton Glen to Innerwick Castle, which is a mile east of Innerwick village. It was blown up in September 1547.

Barns Ness Lighthouse is 3.1 miles (5 km) from Dunbar and was constructed by the engineers and brothers David A. Stevenson and Charles Alexander Stevenson, cousins of the novelist Robert Louis Stevenson, between 1899 and 1901. Taking approximately 2½ years to construct, it was constructed from stone quarried from Craigree (near Cramond) and Barnton. In 1976 it was described as a tall tower, slightly tapered with a circular section having a circular lantern which has triangular panes and a domed roof. The keepers' cottages were, as is typical, one floored, flat roofed buildings which were coated with harling but had their quoins exposed. The lintel above the door to the lighthouse is dated 1901. Within the compound of the lighthouse there was also a sundial and a flagpole. The stone proved resilient during the Second World War, when the lighthouse was machine-gunned yet sustained no damage. The lighthouse was staffed by two lighthouse-keepers until 1966 when it was electrified, with a backup generator and emergency battery (used if the generator failed). It remained semi-automated, requiring only a single keeper, until 1986, when it was completely automated. The power of the sealed beam light system was up to 1,300,000 candlepower. In early 2005, the UK and Ireland lighthouse authorities issued a consultation regarding a review of lighthouses, and it was decided that the Barns Ness Lighthouse was no longer needed. It was deactivated in October 2005. It was put up for sale in 2006.

Blackcastle Hill is an Iron Age hill fort south of Innerwick, East Lothian, Scotland. It is near Cocklaw in the Lammermuir Hills at grid reference NT729724, at a height of 280 metres (920 ft) above sea level. The fort has a single defensive bank.

Innerwick (Scottish Gaelic: Inbhir Mhuice) is a coastal civil parish and small village, which lies in the east of East Lothian, five miles (eight kilometres) from Dunbar and approximately 32 miles (51 kilometres) from Edinburgh.

Oldhamstocks is a civil parish and small village in the east of East Lothian, Scotland, adjacent to the Scottish Borders and overlooking the North Sea. It is located 6 miles (10 km) south-east of Dunbar and has a population of 193. The church was consecrated by Bishop David de Bernham, 19 October 1242. Its chancel is a fine example of late Gothic — probably fifteenth-century work. The summer Gala Day hosts activities such as sporting events. There is also judging of vegetables, plants and artwork. Prior to 1891 the parish was also partly in Berwickshire and had a detached portion at Butterdean of 1417 acres. The detached portion was transferred to Coldingham, Berwickshire, while the main part of the parish is now wholly within East Lothian. In 1650 Oliver Cromwell spent a night in the village prior to defeating the Scots at the Battle of Dunbar.

Bilsdean is a village between Thorntonloch and Cockburnspath on the East Lothian coast of Scotland.
