Roe Green Park is a park in the London Borough of Brent, northwest London, England. The Barn Hill Conservation Group maintain the Roe Green walled garden that is within the park. Roe Green Village was built between 1918 and 1920, using Prussian/German prisoners of war as cheap labour after World War I. The park was incorporated and thus taken under council control between 1935 and 1938.

Masons Field is a 2.9 hectare Local Nature Reserve (LNR) in Kingsbury in the London Borough of Brent. It was declared an LNR in 2013, it is owned by London Underground Ltd and managed by Brent Council on a 125-year leasehold.The site was part of a larger area called Masons Field, which was rented in 1426 by a mason called John Lyon. In the late sixteenth century it was shown as farmland on a map of Kingsbury produced by the landowner, All Souls College, Oxford. In 1927 the London General Omnibus Company purchased the land to provide a sports ground for its employees. In the 1990s London Transport sold part of the land for housing, with the rest becoming public open space joined to the neighbouring Fryent Country Park. The Heritage Lottery Fund contributed £47,000 to assist in restoring the site to a countryside habitat. The Barn Hill Conservation Group works with Brent Council to convert the site to a wildflower meadow.There is access from Fryent Country Park and from Larkspur Close.

Kingsbury is a district of northwest London in the London Borough of Brent. Its ancient scope stretches to include various distinct areas that were once small villages until the inter-war period. Kingsbury was in 2001 a ward and in 2011 was identifiable with the Fryent and Barnhill wards approximately. Today it forms a quiet suburb between Fryent Country Park to the west and the Brent Reservoir to the east, along with a Jubilee line tube station and accompanying shopping district on the western side. The postal district is NW9 which it shares with Colindale and West Hendon.

Fryent Country Park, together with Barn Hill Open Space, is a large park situated in the north of the London Borough of Brent. It covers 103 hectares (254 acres) of rolling fields and small woods. Fryent was also a ward of the London Borough of Brent. Its population at the 2011 Census was 13,445.

Kingsbury High School is a large two-site high school with academy status in Kingsbury, London, England. Kingsbury County Grammar School was established on 15 September 1925 as Kingsbury County School. Prior to the establishment of the school the area had been served by a number of schools, which, in keeping with the future history of Kingsbury County School, had been subject to the prevailing changes in population and politics of the area. Although there are reports of a school being kept in the area in c. 1530, by John Bishop the curate of Kingsbury, there is no more evidence until the nineteenth century of schooling in Kings-bury. Schooling is mentioned in 1819, and in 1822 a day school was opened. This school was situated near the junction of Kingsbury Road and Roe Green, which itself is looked at open by the current Kingsbury High School. This school has closed by 1876. Other schools existed in the area as well, with nearly all children in Kingsbury said to attend one school or another by 1847. Kingsbury School Board was set up in 1875 following a damning report as to the cramped premises of the British School at the Hyde end of Kingsbury Road, itself an 1870 replacement of an infants' school that had been built in 1861 to the Congregational chapel in Edgware Road. Kingsbury Board School on Kingsbury Road, opened by the Kingsbury School Board in 1876, was to accommodate 130 pupils. In 1903 this became Kingsbury Council School. In 1922 this became the first senior mixed school in the area after its infants had been transferred to the new Kenton Lane Council School in 1922. This school operated as a junior school after 1928 until it was bombed in the Second World War.

Oriental City was a major shopping centre in Colindale, North London, England, originally built as a luxury Japanese shopping centre called Yaohan Plaza by the Yaohan retail company of Japan. After Yaohan filed for bankruptcy in the late 1990s, the centre became a lower-end mall specialising in various oriental foods and items, while also containing health and social services for the East Asian community. Opening in 1993, the 141,000 sq ft complex was located on Edgware Road with a dedicated car park and two floors.Referred to as London's "real Chinatown", Oriental City received about 10,000 visitors weekly as of 2006. The complex was closed for redevelopment on 1 June 2008 and, after several changes of ownership, was demolished in August 2014. In July 2017 the smaller Bang Bang Oriental Food Hall opened on the site, comprising 32 food kiosks, massage and beauty therapy suites as well as shops and a cultural centre.

Kingsbury is a London Underground station in northwest London, England. It is on the Jubilee line, in Zone 4, in the borough of Brent. Although now only served by deep-level tube trains, the section of line serving the station is built to surface gauge, and trains to that larger LU loading gauge occasionally pass through.

Gore was a hundred of the historic county of Middlesex, England. The hundred's name means 'piece of ground shaped like the head of a spear/triangle'.

JFS (formerly known as the Jews' Free School and later Jewish Free School) is a Jewish mixed comprehensive school in Kenton, North London, England and was founded in 1732. Amongst its early supporters was the writer and philanthropist Charlotte Montefiore. At one time it was the largest Jewish school in the world, with more than 4,000 pupils.

Welsh Harp ward is a political division of the London Borough of Brent that returns three representative Councillors and at the 2006 election was held by the Labour Party Francis Eniola, Mary Farrell, and Harbhajan Singh.

Edgware Town Football Club is a football club from Edgware, London Borough of Barnet, England. Originally established in 1939, the club was dissolved at the end of the 2007–08 season but were then reformed in 2014. The club are currently members of the Combined Counties League Premier Division North and play at Silver Jubilee Park in Kingsbury, about three miles from the club's original ground, the White Lion, in Edgware.
